Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

The Blue Bull. It was the closest place to get a drink around all of Riverfall. In fact, as far as Nander knew, it was the only place to drink. Maybe it was because the place had such a...reputation. He didn't really know if it was bad or not. In fact, all he'd heard was that it was the best place to get a drink. However, Nander would certainly see it that were true. If anyone knew about booze it was the young drunken swordsman.

Walking inside, Nander immediately became aware of the presence of Akalak. They didn't seem to notice him, though, since they were too busy with their own entertainment. Nander doubted that he'd find answers in the tavern. Even if he got something out of them, for all he knew, the information he'd get would be lies from a drunken blue guy. Then again, Nander wasn't in the Blue Bull for answers anyway. All he wanted was to get drunk.

After his little "ferry episode" he felt like replacing his missing food with booze and maybe having smoke if he could find one. Stepping up to the counter, Nander ordered a single drink and quickly went to work on it. Though he picked something cheap, the buzz he got was still quite amazing. As he sat and took big gulps he was oblivious to those around him. All he knew was that he was running out of booze and the night was still young.

Drunken Fist (Kavala)

Kavala wasn't one to normally drink much, but there was a time and place to cut loose. And truthfully, knowing she was going to lock down the Sanctuary from the 80th on, she wanted to get out among people for a bit just to remember why she was trying to keep her own people safe.

Kavala was worried, deeply so, that the news they'd had of the plague in Zeltiva and now with the news of a very similar sounding illness on the Grasslands... that disease would soon touch Riverfall. She couldn't be too careful. If the humans in Zeltiva and the Drykas on the Grass were falling to a cough, then there was nothing to do but protect the people in her employ by keeping them isolated. but that didn't mean she couldn't have a glass of wine and people watch for a while before she set off home. It might be the last time she got too.

So the Konti slipped into the doors of the Blue Bull, nodded at Kevlar, and ordered some wine. She took a corner table near the warmth of the hearth and noted that there were new people in the Bull, folks she didn't recognize. Some where human, some were Akalak, and there were quite a few ladies. Kavala smiled, sipped her wine, and began to watch. One young man she noticed right away because he had the look of someone well traveled. Suddenly, she wanted to travel too. Being tied down to Riverfall by force was one thing, but being tied down by necessity was another.

She gestured to Kevlar, pointed at the young man, and raised her glass. The barkeeper nodded, poured the young man a wine as well and set it down in front of him. "Compliments of the Konti by the hearth. " He added, nodding towards Kavala.

"She doesn't come in here often. But when she does, she usually can't walk out of here. I'd go talk to her of you have half a notion. She usually turns the Akalaks' away, but your human."
Kevlar added, grinning at the youth and nodding to Kavala.

The Konti took a large sip of her wine, ordered a refill from the barmaid passing by, and settled in to people watch.

Finishing off his drink, Nander shook the last few drops from the glass with a sigh of disappointment. He still had a ways to go before he was drunk. Unfortunately, considering how much he loved to drink, it would be a while before he stumbled drunkedly onto the streets. This brought up a serious problem...money. By the time he got finished here, he'd probably have burned a whole in his wallet. He needed to save up for things like housing and food.

Still, Nander wasn't about to get the cheap stuff. He loved the expensive booze that when you drunk it made you feel like a king. The cheaper stuff made him feel like a lowely peasant. Not only that, but it also tasted awful. He'd rather be broke with the good stuff than rich with the cheap stuff.
Now Nander was about to order another expensive drink when the bartender suddenly poured him a free cup.

Apparenlty it was complements of another drinker. Nander's intrest peaked when he heard the words "Konti." "Must be my lucky day," Nander thought, taking up the wine and turning to the female. If it hadn't been for the little bit of buzz he had, he probably would have spit up the drink then. Not that the female was too revealing, but Nander could see some of her features.

"Cheers," he said as he raised his glass. Taking a sip, he decided to approach, though his usual habit made him blush a bit. "Nander Greenfield," he introduced taking a seat by the female. "What brings someone of like you to a place like this? Looking for some Akalaks?" After saying that, Nander came immediately aware of a few eyes on the woman. He briefely wondered how the Akalak would respond to him talking to her. As far as he knew, Akalak weren't that hostile.
