Coren let a smile slid on his masked face as he felt the knot be undone underneath his ghostly hand. That smile was quickly wiped of his face when the door slid open and a truly nauseating smell hit him in the face, once more he thanked the fact he wore a mask, since it at least dampenend the sickening smell a bit. Still smell or no smell, right now turning back was no option, at least not for him. So after letting his eyes get used to the darkness that lingered in the room he stepped inside, breathing through his mouth as much as he could to prevent him from horking up his last meal. The hallway wasn't really strange aside from a lumpy shape atop of a chair, and it general darkness, the only light coming from a room at the end of the hallway. But since he didn't see it move he doubted it was the strange snake thing. But quite honestly he didn't want to leave anything over to risk in this situation. The mage had already made some kind of snake thing out of furs and who knows what else. Who knew what else was lurking in the shadows, waiting to spring at them. Even if the snake hadn't attacked them yet, he would rather be overprepaired then be caught by surprise. He kept his astral body projected and once more reached inside his soul and called upon his djed, spinning the djed in the rather familiar way of a shield around his torso and head tasking to keep out djed and cutting force, he was facing down a mage so a bit of magical protetion was mostly a good idea.He still had to ration his djed, he didn't have an endless supply of it and who knows what the mage who created this thing had stull up his sleeves. “Keep your eyes open for anything out of the usual.” He offhandedly mentioned to briar as he stepped down the hall, following his own advice as he got closer towards the lighted room at the end. Keeping a firm eye on the serpentine animaton slithering next to them as he did so. When they ended up the makeshift workshop coren couldn't help but look a bit around in wonderment at the makeshift workshop. How pathetic was it about him when his own workplace was even worse then this bedroom rearranged into a workshop. “Answers to my questions mostly sir animator.” Coren said in a polite tone. The man looked horrible in his eyes, and those shakes of him really did not bode well. Was the man sick or having troubles of over giving bouts. Or worse maybe both. “As for who I am, neither of us is with the icewatch and I am a fellow mage.” Coren just needed to calm the man down a bit, stating those two things looked like a good start. |
