Azcadelia

"So, Jayson was it? He was rather handsome," Shiress started after a rather awkward dodging of Azcadelia's compliment. "You'll have to tell me how your payment went," Shiresses ended.

Azcadelia smiled at the thought of seeing Jayson tomorrow and maybe more than tomorrow. Her lips curled up in a smile that she quickly hid by turning away from Shiress towards the open Bazaar. More attendings drove past the two girls that stood in the midst of the all the orderly chaos, backing things up. "Indeed I will, Shiress," Azcadelia said turning to face the table where Jayson and his wares were. The dapper man's eyes caught sight of Azcadelia's and he winked at her. The red head shivered slightly before winking back and grabbing hold on Shiress' arm lightly and tugging her further into the Bazaar. "We mustn't dally too long gawking at the man. You know, for appearance sake," Azcadelia chuckled quietly.

Azcadelia came to stop in a more open area of the Bazaar. The attendings around her flowed around them more calmly since they stood in the outcropping of a wall - more or less where shady deals took place under the cover of cloak. Azcadelia smiled with pearly whites at one of the passing children before turning back to Shiress, her gaze settled on her frame. "No use of magic, huh? That's a shame. What about men, any romances going on?" she asked, bringing a pale hand up to her face to brush away a lingering curl from her eye.

Shiress grinned as she stumbled forward. "For appearance sake." She teased.

The green eyed girl tucked away fallen hair as Azcadelia spoke again.

"No, no magic. Although, I do bear a first mark. Bala's first mark." She pulled the hem of her dress just above the outside of her right ankle. A single silver root etched deep into her skin glinted in the light as her leg tilted toward Azcadelia. "I received it when I was 10."

Long had it been since she had thought of her mark. So much of Shiress was lost to herself, engulfed by an abyss of torture and shame and the years she spent dwelling there enduring what no human should endure, one the green eyed loner had just crawled away from.

Shiress let the hem of her dress fall back around her slipper. She hoped the other scars around her ankle went unnoticed. She lifted and smiled as she brushed her dress straight.

Azzy's next question raised an eye brow not out of shock, but for finally coming to a question Shiress had anticipated the auburn beauty would ask.

'No ma'am." Shiress replied with a tinge of assurance to her tone. "No romance, no man, no relationship." She laughed. " Not even a pet."

Her eyes turned up. "Im a bit boring, I know." A grin curled the corners of her lips as she spoke. "So, tell me of your loves past or present. I already know one of the future."

Azcadelia Rosan

"Tell you," Azcadelia chuckled at Shiress' question. "I've been around the block a couple times, not enough to be counted as a whore no less. Only a couple of partners that I'd visit more than once of a few many occasions." Azcadelia smiled at Shiress before continuing, "There was this one fellow, his name was Ian. He was tall, tan with blonde curly locs," she waved a hand through her hair mimicking them, "he was well built and very well endowed, if you know what I'm getting at," she giggled intoxicatingly. "We were together for most of my young adult life, from the time was nineteen until I was twenty-three. He died though, accident out on the Suvan Sea. I was quite rocked then, I was put through an emotional rut for about year until I stumbled, well, he stumbled on to me. His name was Hugo."

"Hugo was only a little bit taller than me," she motioned with a hand a little ways above her current height. "His hair was long, all the way down to the middle of his back and it was black, like the night and it was wavy, he was such a stud," she sighed, clasped her hands and gazed up, imagining Hugo again. "He was slim, chizzle-chinned and his face sculpted like a god's, at least I thought so," she chuckled again. "We were together for two years and in those two years he had shown me what a man could really do to a young woman!" she shuddered and wrapped her arms around his waist and torso, imitating the way Hugo did. "He, too, died, I think," her voice turning quizzical at the end. "He disappeared one night and I haven't heard from him or of him since."

"Now, I'm a drab, dry and bored gal. No one to fill my pleasures and line my closet with garments and robes. It's been two years since I've been alone, now I'm twenty-seven and getting wrinkles," she faked a pout and cut her eyes, that were wandering, to Shiress. "Ah, the beauty of youth like you. Say, how old are you anyway, Shiress? You look young, early twenties, late teens? Surely you're nowhere near my age.

"Oh!" Shiress said in a shock as her hand covered a shy smile. Her face glowing red at Azcadelia description of her old beau, Ian.

The green eyed girl found the red head a bit admirable in a sense, at least, worth a bit of envy having such men want her, want to spend time with her and so on.

Shiress had no history of such a beau. She had male friends, growing up with them in Zeltiva, but being ripped away at a young age of 14, she hadn't been given the chance of a past love. The years that would take a girl and make a woman were stolen from Shiress, leaving her mind young and naive.

The girl listened to the red head, half dreaming of her own possibilities half paying attention to her description, nodding and grinning each time the woman looked at her as she talked.

"Im...22." She finally answered, having to think about it herself. "And, so, Im not as young as you may think." She smiled giving Azzy a slight raise to her brow. "You are a beautiful woman, Azzy, I cant imagine you to be that boring." She chuckled while brushing a soft, red curl from the woman's shoulder. "Work, go home, sleep, work, maybe an ale or 3 and then you are boring, like me." She said, giving a deliberate toothy smile.

Shiress walked around the woman looking toward the wall behind them. An orange and white cat circled around an empty table and now sat contently licking and cleaning it's fur. Shiress grinned as she stepped away slowly toward the feline.

Bending down and running her hand across the cats fur she looked back to the red head and smiled "Maybe I need a pet more than a man. That's it Azzy, you find you a good man and I'll find me a good pet" She laughed as her hand ran across the soft fur. "Do you have your eyes set on anyone in particular to help you not be so...bored?" She asked, her eyes still adoring the cat.

Azcadelia Rosan

Azcadelia smiled at her age. She was young but not as young as the redhead had thought, like Shiress had said. Zeltiva, she had heard of the place but never had been there. That's where Shiress was from then. Azcadelia stewed in the information she had received trying to draw more conclusions from it as Shiress stepped around her.

Azcadelia followed her with jade orbs, turning her body to accommodate her eyes. A cat circled on a table and Shiress had went to pet it. Azcadelia walked towards her, coming to stand near her. She watched as Shiress petted the cat. Azcadelia had always wanted a pet to call her own. Her mother had a falcon named Bubsy that had always looked after Azcadelia when she was a toddler.

"Maybe I need a pet more than a man. That's it Azzy, you find a good man and I'll find me a good pet," Shriess said, laughing afterwards. Azcadelia grinned at the joke, not knowing whether or not to take her seriously. "Do you have your eyes set on anyone in particular to help you not be so... bored?" Shiress asked.

"Not at the moment. I haven't really been looking. I much rather have a man that'd be so bold to come to me. I seem to scare them all away. Who wants a timid man anyway?" She said, watching the cat with curiosity. Azcadelia couldn't understand Shiress' motivation for not wanting someone that made her happy. She was a pretty girl, with a good personality, perfect for a man with the same if not better traits. It was another mystery that Azcadelia wanted to figure out.

"Say, Shiress, why didn't you want to go Bronze Woods? Anything ill-natured happen to you there that'd make it unappealing?" Azcadelia asked, hoping to not pluck a sour note on their day out. The day was still young and if one of them left now she'd be left extremely bored and unappealed.

Girls' Day Out!

Postby Shiress on April 8th, 2013, 4:04 pm

Shiress' softly glided her hand across the cats fur, starting at the base of his neck and sliding her hand off the tip of it's tail, over and over as the cat circled and rubbed against her hand in seek of more strokes. The girl loved animals, she respected their sense of loyalty and the love they freely offered.

She continued to pet the cat as Azcadelia inquired about her dislike of The Bronze Woods, her eyes remained on the feline as she pondered the question. Indeed, the green eyed, young barmaid had a completely logical reason to dislike the woods. In fact, in two days time it would be exactly one season that a bloodied and beaten Shiress had pulled herself from the forest floor and stumbled to the city walls of Syliras, but the girl had no memory of her journey, well, not a complete, unbroken memory.

She gave the cat a scratch below it's chin then lifted herself, her eyes watching as the cat scurried away then turning slowly to face the red head. Her arms crossed at her chest as she sighed. "I really don't know, Azcadelia." She replied shaking her head with a confused frown. "I was injured badly, I know and carried through the woods closer to Syliras by a kelvic." Her eyes fell away recalling her visit with the Kelvic wolf 8 days earlier and the memory she pieced together in his company. She sighed looking again to the green eyes watching her. "I don't even know who or what attacked me, though, I have heard several opinions of others and their guesses, but I...I just really cant tell you exactly what happened. Sorry." She said giving a soft smile then quickly changing the subject. "So, what other plans does our girls day entail, Ms. Azcadelia?" She asked standing straighter with a broader smile.

Girls' Day Out!

Azcadelia Rosan

Azcadelia smiled at the cat scampered away. It bounded from the table, landed, gracefully, on it's feet and scurried into the every growing ocean of bobbing heads. The afternoon had brought more shoppers and more wares to the Bazaar it was getting quite crowded.

Azcadelia listened to Shiress' speech, flickering her eyes over to her in-between her time examining the extents of the crowd. The crowds of people are all so interesting. There were short, tall, fat and scrawny people. All are so independent of another, oblivious to another's motivations. Oblivious to anothers intent to buy, sell and barter. A mortal's mind was interesting and Azcadelia realized this. It made her want to learn more. To seek knowledge about the mortals minds and motivations.

She came out of her trance and caught the last bit of Shiress' tale. "So, what other palns does our girls' day entail, Ms. Azcadelia?" the windswept green-eyed girl asked. Azcadelia hadn't thought about. Sure when she was organizing the event at the Garden the night before she had a whole day planned to a 'T'. But now, there she was drawing blank. Going outside the gates wasn't out of the question but the nearness of the Bronze Woods would probably make Shiress uneasy.

"I do not know, Ms. Shiress," Azcadelia said, half mocking, her jade gaze looking to Shiress' smooth facial features. "What about the Soothing Waters? Massages are nice, hmm? Maybe we'd meet that man that I should be searching for, huh?" she said, laughing at her joke.

With the mention of Soothing Water and a massage, the smile on Shiress' face melted. While the thought of a massage during a girl day out was a perfect idea, the thought of herself stripping stripping down to her hideously scared skin was not.

She leaned her hip against the empty table, attempting to replace her smile. "If it's all the same, Azcadelia, I would rather not go to Soothing Water. I guess it's just not my thing, I hope that's OK. I know I'm a rather boring, dull person." She said with a soft laugh.

"Look, Azzy, I'm sorry, maybe Im not good company right now and the day is yet young. If you would like, we can cut our day a bit short, you can go have your massage." Shiress smiled. "Maybe go have another chat with Jayson."

She stood up straight and stepped to Azcadelia. Pulling a blazing red strand from the woman's face, she smiled affectionately. " Ms. Azcadelia, Look at you, you are a beautiful woman, outgoing, fun, beautiful. Nothing like me, the barmaid." She said smiling. "Im afraid I don't do your company justice and I wouldn't want to take a beautiful day as this one from you. Her fingers pulled away her own fallen strands as the other rested on the redheads shoulder. "I do thank you for the kind invitation, but I think I'll leave you to your day now." She smiled, then turned for the milling crowd as her hands rested in her shift pockets.

Girls' Day Out!

Postby Azcadelia on April 11th, 2013, 1:33 am

Azcadelia Rosan

Azcadelia scrunched up her face in a little displeasement as Shiress turned from her, telling her to cut the girls' day short. The redhead didn't know whether to be angry or sad. The emotions didn't come easy to her and this situation was an even more bizarre scene. Azcadelia hadn't organized a girls' day before and for her's to be cancelled before it was even started was insulting.

Azcadelia watched as Shiress' walked away from her into the crowd slowly disappearing the mass of crowds. The day was crashing and burning faster than Azcadelia could put water to the flames. She took a few strides excusing herself as she bumped hurriedly into the inhabitants of the bazaar.

Azcadelia wanted to salvage the day but it seemed that Shiress had different plans. The way Shiress was acting confused the magus. Who wouldn't want a bath, a massage and some nice men? Who wouldn't want to go out for a decent stroll on the Kabrin Road? There was something to this woman, this windswept woman that kept her from doing things normal women would do. But what was it?

Azcadelia came to the side of Shiress, placed her hand on her shoulder and spoke, "It's only courtesy if I walk you to her destination. Even if the is young and you wish to be left alone, I understand that, but I won't let you walk alone. Think of it as an expression of kindness, possibly friendship."Azcadelia was surprised by her own words. Friendship? Kindness? Not words that would escape the hold of her throat to the audible for the world to hear. Azcadelia really wanted a friend in Syliras after spending so much time alone in her apartment. Why was this so hard to come by though?

So many questions riddled her head as she waited for Shiress' to respond to her gesture. The two walked slowly through the crowds, the exit to the Bazaar coming into view. Hopefully Shiress wouldn't deny her of her request.

OOCWe could end here or after you respond and send it for grading or we could continue to Shiress' destination. Your choice.

Girls' Day Out!

Postby Shiress on April 11th, 2013, 2:26 pm

The girl held her step as she turned slightly toward Azcadelia. She truly meant no ill feelings toward the redhead, it was just the plague that constantly held her thought, the plague that she would never measure up, not to herself or anyone else.

"There is no need to see me to my door, Azzy. Your invitation and the time I have had with you is all I need to know your kindness and give you friendship. I am sorry to be such a stewing pot of boredom." She said as a smile lifted her lips. "Know that it's not you, Ms. Azcadelia or your company. It's just..I have a lot on my mind, I guess, as of late and I do not wish to bring you under my heavy thoughts." Shiress stepped in front of the woman and smiled as her arms wrapped around the woman's slender shoulders. "If ever you fancy a drink or a friends company, always know you have both at The Stallion."
