I shifted back, immediately grabbing my pants from the saddlebags on Tousouji. "Aye your own self! You need a new pair, that's for certain!", I snapped back. "I'm a boy, not some girl!", I yelled to the farmer, proving my point about him needing eyes. Looking down, I said, "Yon wheat seen worse than Tousouji in a rain storm!", I said, shrugging on my shirt and coat, simultaneously shoving newly socked feet into their shoes.
Suddenly a shrill whistle startled me, making me shriek in indignance and surprise as I looked around, my blue eyes searching for what had made the noise, when several more whistles tormented me, startling Tousouji as well. Only a moment later did I notice the armored men on their horses, one pointing to the winged man, demanding to know what was going on.
Backing away slightly, I gripped Tousouji's reins tightly, so he wouldn't bolt. I wasn't sure what was going on here, but I knew trouble was likely to come of it.
