Sam- I definitely agree with having good motivations for a character. For me it really isn't enough to just say "She's timid". I really enjoy giving my character backstory so it turns into, "Well she's naturally timid but these things have happened to her, turning timidity into outright evasiveness and suspicion". It makes things so much more interesting. With both our characters trying to hide who they are, we HAVE to get them together sometime.
Kavala- I knew about the scales and gills but I completely bypassed the webbing

I bet that will make properly fitting gloves hard to come by, gotta go fingerless I suppose. I adore the Konti-hating human idea. It could be both frustrating AND humorous.
