Sira let out another angry sounding shriek in response to his comment, but in truth she was more amused than anything else. Half the time it was just a game with her, a cruel one perhaps, but still a game. The fact that it injured a bunch of poor dek meant little to Sira. It was part of her upbringing that dek were expendable, and while she was a hypocrite when it came to many things involving the dek, Sira was just as flawed as any other endal, except in her own special ways.
Still, that last attack had hurt him, Sira could tell. She decided that perhaps it was time to stop playing games, at least as long as he didn't actually hurt her. A few pulled feathers were no big deal, really, they probably needed to come out anyway. His anger amused her, also. Few dek would dare speak out against a wind eagle, especially when it had just flung them across the room. Darkness was a feisty one, just like his blood.
Finally Sira relaxed, deciding that the game was over. She lowered her head and allowed him to saddle her once more. He really wasn't doing all that bad. His caution made it so that he didn't snag too many feathers. Sira had experienced a lot worse from other dek, so really, Darkness was a welcome change.. if he hadn't been a zith. That was something Sira found hard to let go of, but she had work to do, and needed to let him finish with her. Enough time was wasted. Assuming that he was brave enough to try again, Sira would do her best not to make things more difficult.
OOCThere wasn't a whole lot I could do here. Really, the thread is almost over I think, but at least we can actually wrap it up.
