Juliane watched Ouity carefully as he moved away, looking like he was hesitating to speak. Maybe she shouldn't of asked, but curiosity got the best of her. And even if there was no fun in downright asking, she didn't mind at the moment. She had answered his questions and just been through an overwhelming experience that day.. might as well ask and get answers to simple questions, right?

She listened and nodded, taking notes mentally. Blue was a good sign then, right? Like how purple was usually a good sign for her. She grinned at that. She saw as Ouity's grin faded and he continued on. She had to blink a good amount of times as she slowly understood Ouity's rush of words. Her eyes moved to him once again and she examined him before reacting. Drawn to a person.. she thought slowly.

"So you're attracted to me?" she blurted out, moving to where she could face him. She really had no expression on her face; maybe just a look of curiosity. Maybe. Her eyes shown that, though, as the light pink seeped into her iris and shined brightly. She didn't know what to think, really. Everything was already a lot to take in and this just seemed to wander in with the five thousand other things that crowded together in her mind. It wasn't that big of a deal anyways; but she was a bit more content knowing some more about his eye colors and emotions. She grinned at that. "Sorry if that question made things weird though.."
"I'm speaking Vani."
"I'm trying to speak Common."

In the Halls of Snowsong (Juliane)

'I will carry this secret to the grave.'

So much for that.

Ouity winced as she asked the question, glancing up slowly to meet her eyes once more. "It is of no concern. No bother will find you for it. Simply an immature... reaction. Do not dwell on it.

Ouity glanced up with a sigh, pushing the topic from his mind. He would deal with this later, for now, there were things to do, preparations to be made for the coming revels. He rose from his seat, groaning as he did, his legs stiff. How long had they been sitting there? He arched his back and stretched.

"I will go begin my preparations, I have enough coin to perhaps obtain some whale bones, and some other materials to carve for my bid. After we are wed, we will need to buy provisions. Food, a horse, a tent, tools, weapons... He trailed off, scratching his head. "Enough to put a dent in my savings, anyway. No matter, I'm sure we can scrounge up something as we go along. If worst comes to worst, we hunt for our meals. In fact, that's what we'll be doing anyway, we want to save preserved food as long as we can."

He shrugged. "We can work all that out later, for now, I should go. Good day, Juliane." He began to move for the door, a small smile on his face. As he went, he turned, and with a wink, blew her a kiss; allowing his mischievous nature take over.

In the Halls of Snowsong (Juliane)

Juliane blinked a few times, nodding. If he wanted to push the topic away, she'd go with it. She didn't really care all too much anyways. It was just another question that made its way from her head to her mouth.

She watched him stand and stretch and she listened as he spoke, thoughts of hers gathering in her mind. Preparations.. She groaned mentally. Things to do, things to say, people to confront. Her family. She looked at Ouity; "I have money, too, you know. I can help with anything. Or something." So many things had to be done, it seemed like. And that only brought back the overwhelming sense that kept coming and going. She wasn't looking forward to any preparations, or getting ready, or doing anything but leaving.

Juliane chuckled quietly at Ouity. This was still so.. odd. But she'd have to get used to it, she knew. "Good day to you, too, Ouity," she said softly, letting a smile appear on her face as she waved her hand.

In the Halls of Snowsong (Juliane)

Postby Ouity on April 6th, 2013, 5:37 am

Ouity strolled out of the small Arvinta, and into the corridor beyond. He closed the door behind him, and leaned against the wall beside it, trying to summarize exactly what had just gone on. After a moment of hard thinking, he shrugged. Variety was the spice of life, and this was the beginning of a great story, the first act of a play that would be reenacted throughout the ages! He nodded to himself. Juliane was cheery and beautiful. Ouity was a simple man, and it took him just a moment to evaluate his goals in life. He wanted adventure, to find things in this world to bring back to his people in story and song. He wanted a companion, someone who would stick by him, and provide him comfort. A fellow Vantha's company could go far in a world of strangers, he mused. Juliane fit the bill in more ways than he could have ever prayed for, and he murmured a prayer of thanks to Morwen. There were chinks, of course, but they would work themselves out. They had all the time in the world, or so he figured, as young people often do.

He pushed himself off the wall, and began to walk towards his own Arvinta. He had a lot of work to do.

Additional Notes :
I find it curious how these two are completely oblivious to the fact that Morwen is returning that very morning, an event every marked Vantha would be eagerly anticipating. I’ll just assume they both forgot because of the weight of the decision they had just made. ;)

I liked how the two of you integrated the influence of Elders on their culture, and every little thing in between. However Ouity, stories about other cities are not really widespread, so unless your character had been there or acquired the lore for it earlier in a book or an npc, then he wouldn’t have known what exactly Ravok is, Avanthal being the secluded ice city it is. Especially rumors about the black gods and arts part since the city’s higher ups really try to cover that fact.

To be honest, the whole affair felt rushed, like a whirlwind romance if you will. Although I can’t say that Juliane is as attracted to Ouity as he is to her. But I will be anticipating as to what direction you two will bring their story in the future. :)
