Quiarinox was loving Zeltiva already, and she had only been in it for a few bells. On the arm of her husband, she beamed at passersby, glowed with the radiance of happiness, and pulled the poor man attached to her to all sorts of locations that snagged her interest. And he followed with a laugh before he ended up dragging her behind him as they raced to the next best thing they just absolutely had to see. Parks, statues, lovely buildings, storefronts, all of these things that Ravok lacked but Zeltiva had in excess.

Even though she was vocal about her pleasure, Meriken quietly enjoyed himself as well. As usual he was dressed in his finest having managed to change after the caravan deposited them at Zeltiva's gate. Next to his wife, he overshadowed her with his personal radiance that she couldn't reproduce unless she took as much pleasure in grooming herself as he did. Immaculate as she was in a red dress that clashed with the tarnished auburn of her long hair, she never cut quite the image as he did, but there was no complaint. He was hers, she was his, and that gilded image on their necks told the story of their love as much as it had to.

"Look, look," Meriken urged her as they darted towards the waterfront and wharf. The tide was ebbing in, crashing against the posts holding up the walkway, and he gestured to children dancing on the edge of a beach some distance away in the shallows, avoiding the water and ducking down to splash eachother when the flow rolled back in and overbalanced those already ankle deep in the waves. Quiarinox smiled, her previously excited laughter subdued by what he wanted her to see. Children.

"Let's go look at the park again and get something to eat," she said, clutching onto his arm with pale, scarred hands and pulling him close as though to borrow heat from his body to ward away the chill winter left over spring that she hadn't experienced in Ravok. She looked around her to find somebody that would give them directions to lodging or provide some sort of map for their use. In retrospect, Quiarinox realised they should have probably thought about finding a place to drop their baggage earlier, but as it weighed upon her back now she began to wish they actually had.

"Excuse me? We would like directions to lodging." She addressed a strange man as he wandered past with another person. Meriken focused those dark eyes abruptly at the sound of her voice and his face warmed into a gradual smile that crinkled the corners of his angled eyes in a way that made him look mischevious.

Ricky and Telion were out on a stroll today, the two acted like brother and sister but some could confuse them for a couple. Though Ricky never thought others would think that, not did he care what they thought. He and Odis had fun giving her a hard time, the dog would bark and run around her energetically while Ricky nagged at her, so she ended up a bit flustered but still could laugh about it. That is if she didn't give the occasional hit on his shoulder, which only made Ricky laugh a bit more. Odis found a crate to occupy himself with, his nose searched for a decent spot to do his business before he would catch up. By the time the dog would though Ricky and Telion would find a couple stopped them for directions.

Ricky nearly gave out a reply but could only smile as Telion went first, with a enthusiastic attitude toward the two. "Oh you must be new to Zeltiva, in that case welcome! You're probably interested in staying at the World's End Grotto, there's a pathway up from the Docks over there." She pointed in the direction of the path with a smile, and Odis then came along to greet the couple.

"Rurf ruf, ruf ruf!" He cheered playfully with a wagging tail, a wide doggie smile up at the two.

"Odis boy, calm!" Ricky ordered with a snap to draw the dogs attention, the dog looked to his master with puppy eyes and then back to the couple. He waited patiently with hopes they would give him some affection, puppy dog eyes and wagging tail still in effect. "Sorry about that, he gets super excited real easy. Ye two aren't from 'round 'ere right? I'm Ricky, and this be Telion." He introduced his partner with a friendly grin, eyes occasionally on Odis to make sure he behaved. "What are yer names?" He inquired with a humble attitude.

Quiarinox beamed at the woman that answered, the quickness of her reply beating out that of the man who accompanied her. Often, Quiarinox did the same to Meriken, and the men just accepted it with the same benign smile. She was charmed easily by that comparison.

The Ethaefal in human form followed where the other woman pointed, instinctively seeking oit the mentioned path, but it was just out of sight for her and harder to see with the amount of people doing their business on the docks. She was glad, though, to know the direction of their future home for what she believed would likely be the next season.

Looking back at the couple, she was suddenly greeted by the sight of a dog she saw as quite large and scary, in a strange sort of way, for the suddenness of his appearance was distinctly alarming to her and the volume of his barking was startling. Meriken laughed and knelt down to give the dog the attention he so desired, scratching the dog heartily around the neck and behind the ears as though the dog weren't in any way scary. Quiarinox laughed, nervously, but allowed her husband to grab her hand and guide it so the dog could smell her and determine whether she were friend or foe with his gently spoken "give him a chance to get to know you, Rina". Her laughter came a little more easily at the cold touch of his nose on her palm and she raised her eyes to look at the man that addressed them as Meriken and the dog properly bonded.

"He's a gorgeous dog," she told him and his woman. She heard Meriken's laughter. "We aren't from here, now. We come from Ravok." Her accent was noticeably different from his but she managed to understand him, and the woman, well enough. "We are looking to stay for a while. I'm Quiarinox and he is Meriken."

Meriken stood up then as though cued and extended his hand to firmly shake the hand of the other man. Quiarinox was amused when she remembered that, as a prostitute, he would never have had the opportunity to greet anybody so formally. She didn't say this out loud and instead gestured to the other couple. "And who are you, kind people?" She spoke politely, as only a Ravokian native could be.

Odis was happy to receive recognition from the man of the two, and loved getting attention from both him and his lady. When they exchanged their greetings to him, the dog returned to the side of his master with both tongue and tail waggling about. "Thank ya, Odis' been my closest companion for a long time." He nodded in appreciation at her compliment, Odis sat next to his master with puppy dog eyes on the couple and a dangling tongue.

"Argh Argh!" He cheered after Ricky finished with a lazy lean onto his masters leg.

"I'm Ricky and this is Telion." He introduced with a humble attitude to the couple, he knelt down to pet Odis a bit when Telion spoke next.

"It's wonderful to meet you two, I hear Ravok is a long ways from here. No doubt you must be tired." She courtsied a bit in proper respect as she greeted them, a gentle smile on her face when she looked to them.

"Never heard of Ravok me self, must be an interestin' though." Ricky enthused with intrigue as he stood back up. "What's it like up there?" He already became curious about the place and about the couple, seeing as how he knew little of the world outside Zeltiva.

"Not much different than Zeltiva, really," Meriken was the first to speak. He grinned widely, like a mischevious boy. "Lots of water, lots of people, lots of culture. It's..."

The human grunted when Quiarinox whacked him on the arm. She was amused despite the gesture. "What he means to say is that Ravok and Zeltiva are similar in some ways. Unlike this city, though, Ravok is entirely on the water. It can't be described unless you come and see it in person. Truly, it is amazing to behold. It is beautiful and elegant in ways that this city is solid and statuesque. Would you believe we don't have many statues in Ravok? They are too heavy, I think, for the bridges, and there aren't even many of those to put even a small one on. Our house doesn't even have a bridge. We have to hire a ravosalaman to get us places every day." She used the term as though she expected the Zeltivans to understand it, not realising immediately that they would have different words for the same things and that the lack of canals in Zeltiva hinted at a distinct lack of ravosalas and their drivers.

"And the weather in Ravok is nice. Always. No snow, really, and barely any rain. The city is protected by a God, so he doesn't let anything like bad weather affect us." Meriken took control again. He kept the name of the god out of his words, though, and Quiarinox might have protested that. However, he squeezed her arm and she kept her mouth shut. Meriken knew the outside world best, after all, and he had his reasons for keeping Rhysol's name out of the discussion.

There was a lull afterwards and Quiarinox took advantage of it.

"We are tired, yes. Just a bit, though. Our excitement for seeing the city is kind of keeping the exhaustion out of us for now. Anyway, what can you guys tell us of Zeltiva? What are the best places to go to sight see and enjoy? Where is there history to be learned?" She displayed a curiousity with her questions that she didn't often get to show. She really was inquisitive about the city. She had never left Ravok before departing for Zeltiva, after all.

Ricky and Telion listened with nods at how similiar Ravok and Zeltiva did sound, by the sound of it though Ravok had much more to it then what the couple let on really. Zeltiva had no bridges to anything as far as Ricky knew, but then again he hadn't thoroughly gone through the whole city just to find one. "That sounds wonderful to live in, perfect weather and protection from a God all the time. Zeltiva has a few Gods we all openly worship, Laviku and Zulrav being to important ones to our fair city." Telion explained with a gentle smile as Ricky only listened, he always found it interesting how she could talk so much about their home. Ricky loved Zeltiva all the same, but he found that he hardly really talked about it or really ever got involved. He stood with curious eyes to the couple now as he listened further, an occasional glance to Odis as the dog sat next to him with happy pants and wagging tail.

"Zeltiva has a lot for newcomers to see! We have two main factions that many are aware of, they being the Sailor's Guild and The University. They work alongside the Lord of Council to run Zeltiva, but you may be more interested in the sights the city has." Telion happily explained with a bit of enthusiasm, Ricky chuckled as he crossed his arms with a grin.

"Ye both might like Maiden's Cape. It's said to be the place where the Black Lady stood waitin' everyday for 'er sailor to return to her. Though she never did see him again she still stood at the same spot on the cape, until death finally took her to be united with her lover once more." Odis scratched his neck and watched his master curiously as Ricky told them the story, Telion hadn't expected him to share the story of the Black Lady but she caught on quickly.

"That's how the tale goes anyway, there was a statue made to commemorate her dedication to her one true love. Its a very romantic place to keep in mind when the mood strikes you." She gave a weak giggle, a shy smile on her face as she glanced to Ricky and back to the couple. "We also have the Wright Memorial Library should you find yourself in need of research, they have an extensive amount of knowledge in books, tomes, and journals from all around if I remember correctly." She didn't seem to overly confident near the end of her sentence, but she definitely sounded positive about the amount of knowledge one could find at the library.

"I've been there a few times, its a magnificent place to do some readin' when ya need to learn some things." Ricky admitted with a nod, he remained oblivious to Tel's slight blush at his backing her up. Admittedly Ricky wasn't the type to read or enjoy a book much, he had done a little bit of research on his own for personal reasons. Reasons he had yet to share with Telion. "We've several places ya can go to see, dependin' on what mood yer in." Ricky assured them with a hearty chuckle, a warm grin to the couple as he seemed to be in an elightened mood.
