There was still pain in her head and a dribble of blood still trickled down her nose, though it was unlikely those would vanish so easily. Anna wanted to die, she felt so miserable and this was too much for her to handle. Never in her years of practicing magic had she experienced this severe amount of overgiving. The wizard knew that a few days rest would likely not heal this, it was likely she would need to take it easy for at least a solid month just to be sure. The sickness was not physical, those were only the symptoms. The true sickness was within her very spirit.
Like all wizards, Anna feared overgiving and tried her hardest to avoid it. Giving too much and allowing herself to be consumed by her own magic was an utter nightmare. The young wizard was more than shaken by this event, she was scared. However she refused to show Uschi this weakness, already the bear might be getting ideas. Her dominance was absolute and her pride was great, her power made her the greater being by default. She was more than most mortals, she was a wizard.
Still, the wizard could not deny the sheer weariness in her body for much longer. After a long look at Uschi, the wizard slowly eased herself under the covers of her bed. She hissed slightly as her legs felt sore and protested any weight or sudden motion. The tall woman laid her head on the pillow, flinching as it throbbed in pain.
Sleep would not be an easy thing to gain, but now that the hallucinations were over it would likely not be so horrific. If they returned then she would face them clear headed. Anna was not some frightened girl, nor was she an average wizard. She was chosen by Rhysol to bear his power and her own power was considerable. She would not be scared away from her path by a few hallucinations and nightmares.
That was what Anna needed to believe. The other, creeping alternative was far too devastating to even consider.
