I'm easing back in to the game starting today as my life levels out and family crisis' slowly wrap up. Here's a thought for the day.

Alrighty folks, a few matters of business to remind everyone on! This Friday is November 1st, kicking off not only NaNoWriMo, but also the start of the last month of the season. We've got a ton of new faces in the city, so I wanted to give everyone a solid heads-up in regards to a few things:

Make sure to get those job threads done! It looks like people have been pretty good about getting actual jobs, but remember, you need to complete 2 threads of at at least 2500 word length all about doing your job (using your job skill) in order to actually get paid. Riverfall requires a living standard of at least Common, so unless you've got 135gm saved up already, you'll need your job's paycheck to get by. For more information on job threads, please see this video by yours truly detailing job threads and seasonal experience threads.
Is this you: "Say, I keep hearing talk of this big NaNo thing, but I have no idea what it is!" Well, you're in luck, friend. Tarot just released a big FAQ on Mizahar NaNoWriMo, which should answer all your questions. Once the big kickoff approaches, a separate forum will be launched with all the latest. Daily post counts will be posted there, as well as a contest or two. Be sure to watch the posted word counts there, as I personally discovered last year, the word count in your PC information isn't entirely accurate (it gets weird with counting post edits). Last year's forum is here so you can see how everything went. As you can see from the final standings thread, Kavala/Goss won last year, whereas I kindof burned out 16k from the finish line... Not this year though!
To everyone involved in Beautyfest, the big party thread will be going up sometime this weekend. You may continue messing around in the primping threads, but I'd like everyone to start winding them down. Men of Riverfall who haven't given their beads yet (those eligible to, anyway): I'll be be PMing you to find out your votes sometime in early November. Ladies of Riverfall (who are eligible to vote): I'll be PMing you as well, to get your votes on King of Beautyfest! Winners will be announced in the party thread on November 20th!

Calling All Warriors!

That scourge of the Sea of Grass, the Zith, have been spotted traveling with a group of people. We all know what that means - they've enslaved more innocent people to drag back to the hell-hole of Xy. Scouts report there are even women among this group.

Will we allow it?

NO!

The Council of Riverfall is calling for warriors to venture out to the Sea of Grass to rescue these poor souls. Do you have the strength, the fortitude, the stones, to lay your life on the line for the less fortunate? Do you want to spill Zith blood and teach these beasts that their actions will not go unanswered?

Because the Zith is no mean foe, only those with combat skills will be permitted to join the raid. Additionally, while the Council knows every son of Riverfall will be lining up to spill Zith blood, the raiding party is already nearly full, and only 4 slots remain.
