Some Pycon Questions...

Postby Chirra on January 9th, 2014, 3:16 pm

Basically just some questions to understand the race.

To begin, how exactly would a Pycon change shape? When they are young would it be a common thing, like changing with mood or extreme emotion? Or would it be something that is painful and happens rarely? Or even painful but occurs often when they're young anyway? Would a very young Pycon have trouble "holding their shape" so to speak?

Second question, if someone were to step on a Pycon would the Pycon squish or crack? would they just hurt the persons foot or feel odd to step on? Would they be strong enough to withstand someone accidentally stepping on them and only be harmed if someone were to forcefully try to crush them? That brings up the additional question of would they crumble?

Those are the biggest questions at the moment.

As it stands I'm treating my pycon like I might treat clay that is still being molded. If that's wrong, feel free to let me know so I can fix that.

Some Pycon Questions...

Postby Ilosk on January 24th, 2014, 1:10 pm

Ah, another pycon!

I think the answer of those question is already mentioned at the lore. But I'll point it for you here:

Pycon could change their shape, and when they do, I believe that they pick certain object and copy it's appearance. Bear in mind that while they're indeed capable of changing shape, they're not shapeshifter. Emotion would not trigger any sudden transformation. Traumatic experience for example may alter the decision of the pycon to choose a form. So it is all up to the pycon, and not involuntary. The change is somewhat permanent, at least until the pycon choose another appearance. According to the lore, the transformation is unconfortable, though not painful.

being made of higly flexible and pliable claylike substance, they would be flattened down if being stepped and won't cause any harm to the stepper, even if the pycon have sharp detail like pointy edges. Damage to the body, could be reconstructed and severed limb could be reattached. However missing limb should be attached asap or it would lose the ability. You could recover the missing limb by eating clay. Additionally, any damage to the body could be recovered as long as the nexus that serve as the brain still working.

I hope this will help :)

Some Pycon Questions...

Postby Ball on January 24th, 2014, 1:51 pm

Oh I can answer this one on all levels!

First off: YAY PYCONS! ^.^

-coughs- Anywyay.

Question 1: A pycon's standard shape should change every thread, at least in minor details. If they change into something beyond that it requires concentrating on what they want done and time. It isn't entirely painful but it is uncomfortable to maintain for long periods of time.

Question 2: If a pycon gets stepped on they would get squished and it would hurt like insanely so. However, we are pretty resilient buggers. As for how it would feel, that is entirely up to the person steppign on us. As long as our nexus (the brain) is intact we don't die. heh. Now, we COULD break a person's foot if they step on us, yet that requires we attack their foot as it comes down...

Graders Please Note :
As Ball is getting closer and closer to maxing out Pyken as a skill, I would like to request that in places where Ball is not doing enough to constitute Pyken XP if Pyken technique lores could be issued instead.

Examples of proper XP level for Pyken would be: Ball developing or refining his technique by adding new thing against an actual moving target, not a dummy.

The use of basic skills alone are not enough to accomplish XP at Ball's current level of Pyken.

Thank you.

I will be handling all Ball related posts on Mondays @ 1800 my time *
