Kel watched with interest as Alaia danced around with the man before finally ending his life. The emotions that swirled across the Konti’s face forced a smirk to cross the Svefra’s expression and he nodded in approval.
He remembered what it was like to take the life of another for the first time. It was not a pleasant experience. Though, the shipwright who killed a few of his pod had deserved his fate. It didn’t stop him from remembering it though. But just like everything Kel felt, he buried the memories and emotions deep within, hiding them, pushing them away so to not deal with them.
He pushed the thoughts away and slowly walked across the area; eyes focused on the parallelized man who lay sprawled out across the forest floor. Kel ignored the dead body and the woman as he stopped just above the man. He lifted a foot and placed it against the bandit’s jaw, shoving it so he was forced to look at his dead friend.
Kel slowly crouched down after a few ticks after allowing him to stare into his dead friend’s shocked expression before grabbing the man’s face with a hand and jerked it back towards him, blue eyes shards of stone. Fear shone in the man’s face as he, unable to move, had no choice but to stare at the imposing Svefra. Ice dripped from Kel’s voice as he spoke evenly to the man, menace hovering just at the edge of his words.
“Today is yehr’ lucky day, mate. I killed yehr’ pals in teh’ clearin’ just over thurr and this woman killed yehr’ friend. This ain’t the first outlaws that’ve died at me hand and it probably won’t be teh’ last. I want yeh’ to remember me face. Teh’ name’s Kel Tempest. Remember it and tell yehr’ friends. Spread it ‘round, tell ‘em what the Tempests are capable of. Don’t petch with us.”
Kel slowly stood, leaving the man where he lay, wincing in pain as his wound tightened. He propped himself up on his trident and looked over at Alaia.
“Yeh’ think yeh’ could wrestle that shirt off teh’ man yeh’ killed? I kinda need a new one after yeh’ sliced me other one…”
If she did he would grunt in appreciation and gesture for her to come over. If she did, he would throw his arm around her shoulder on his good side and she would assist him in walking to the beach. He looked at her and cocked an eyebrow.
“Yehr’ first kill, eh?”
