Likes: Alaia prefers to be on her own with her feet in the sand and the night sky above her. There is nothing more calming to her then a night spent by the sea listening to the waves crash. She also has a rather feminine love for flowers of any kind and will often find an excuse to pick one up and place it in her hair. She loves healing, it's her life but she also enjoys exploring things that are a mystery to her. Her favorite pass time is drawing other people from afar.
Dislikes: Not a fan of crowds she tends to avoid them if she can though in profession that is not usually an option. She also dislikes liars and cheats, she rather someone give her an unpleasant truth then a pleasant lie. She also tends to avoid physical contact unless it's needed.

[Alaia]

There is nothing staggering about the height of this young Konti, as many of the women in her race she falls below the average human height standing only at about 5’1” perhaps on a good day. She is petite in every sense of the words, her gracefully webbed fingers and toes only complimenting and enhancing the smallness of her. The most breathtaking aspect of this young woman, aside from the features that are inherent to all Konti women, is her startling eyes. The blue iris’s reflect as bright as the bluest sky and as clear as the warmest waters. The scales that grace all Konti women wrap around Alaia’s body from her webbed feet all the way to her forehead where they kiss her skin in smaller quantities and mingle with the Gnosis mark given to her by Rak’keli before fading away. Her scales shimmer with the colors of pastel pink, peach and oranges depending on the light and the way her body shifts while her gnosis mark swirls along the right side of her face from her temple down towards the curve of her jaw in pale iridescent opal shades. Gills also line the slender form of her neck and are typically hidden by the long wave of pale gold hair that she lets fall half way down her torso. She can also often be seen with a flower tucked against her ear adding a feminine softness to an already soft woman.



Truth of Intent – Alaia can sense someone’s intentions linked to their actions when she touches someone, something that has been both a hindrance and a blessing at times. The intentions revealed to her surround the person’s next 72 hours and almost always reveal something that Alaia deems as something she probably shouldn’t know as it’s easy to accidently bump into someone you don’t know and see things about them that others wouldn’t. The intentions always come to her in a clear but scattered sense, she isn’t entirely sure when the intentions would be carried out during the 72 hours but she knows they will happen at some point. The stronger the intent, good or bad, the more it stands out to Alaia and the clearer she sees it however when a person is uncertain of what their actions will be because of some inner war with themselves those intentions tend to come across the line muddled with only the briefest glimpse of the tumbling choices in their mind. The muddled and unclear intentions almost seem like a kaleidoscope, she can see the different avenues in small glimpses but she doesn’t know which choice the person will make unless she keeps on them and touches them again later when, hopefully, they have a better sense of what they are internally warring about.



Rak'keli's Healer - 1st Mark
Her mark of swirling sigils grace one side of Alaia's face swirling in a pattern from her temple down to just below her jaw bone. The coloring is a soft shimmering opal that accents itself against her skin and scales

Selfless and hard working Alaia was brought up to be humble and giving to those around her. Just like her mother before her and her mother before her Alaia was gifted by Rak’keli with the gift of healing and she has made it her duty to search out those who need help. She enjoys healing people and she sees it as her life calling to do so. With this calling she sought out work in a local clinic not to far from her home where she learned how to practice medicine and let Rak’leki guide her down the path of a healer in both the conventional and extraordinary senses of the word. Despite knowing her time is to be focused on helping other people she has found a love in drawing, charcoal being her favorite medium and she expressed this over the years preferring to draw people and capture them with the strokes of her deft fingers in a suspended moment of time. Often she would give her pieces of art away as random presents, sometimes to the person she was drawing and sometimes to someone else who needed to be encouraged to embrace whatever emotion she embodied in her drawings. Though she has kept a few of her favorites to decorate her home. Drawing is a great release to her because of her gift that she was blessed with, the fact that it is touch based leaves her to often seek solitude from others when she wasn’t healing them or working at a clinic.

Within her home land of Mura she felt confined, as if she would be needed somewhere else where perhaps Rak’keli’s touch would be needed more so she set off for Riverfall soon after her 31st birthday. Her travels took longer than she wished them to, but finally after over a season of traveling she arrived and began setting roots in the beautiful city of Riverfall, home to the Akalak and hopefully home to her as the time passes.

Kavala

Kavala is like a sister to Alaia. Despite actually having sisters from the same mother Kavala and Alaia met on Mura in the Summer of 508 AV and instantly hit it off. There aren’t many people Alaia would consider closer than family but Kavala is definitely one of them. There isn’t anything that Alaia wouldn’t do for this Drykas-Konti sister of hers.

Caelum

Caelum has been a sort of surprise in Alaia's life, from the moment they met he has wanted to help her. He has reveled to her secrets of her past she had no idea to and he has held her together when she was breaking. There is something about this beautiful man that has left her speechless and trusting of him without question. Whether it is illogical or not Caelum somehow has made his way into a very special place in the Konti's heart that is unique to him alone. She knows without a doubt that she would jump without question if he asked her to. Whether he is the horned-god that he appears to be by day or the horse lord by night she will stand by his side and help him through anything, at least that she is certain of.

S Essy

S'Essy in short is Alaia's cousin. They grew up on Mura together and being so close in age it made them easy to choose each other as friends. Their age and blood aren't the only thing that brought these two together though, Alaia found Mura boring and as if it was holding her back and her cousin seemed to share the same thoughts. These Rak'keli healers bonded over days dreaming of the world beyond their island.

Elias Caldera

Alaia met Elias and his dear mother, Raina, in 509 AV when their boat docked looking for medical attention on the shores of Mura. Alaia was one of the ones to help and heal them and through that she learned quite a bit about the pair. Raina was the one she grew the closest to during this meeting, when she healed her she kept her company for some time learning about her and promising to write back and forth for company. She enjoyed the woman’s personality, the dark edges to her life intriguing but there was also something lighter in the woman that she had somehow been privileged to learn.

During their short stay on Mura Alaia also took Elias off to the side to try and offer him kind words and get to know him better – he remained a constant point in her letters with Raina over the years as Alaia wished to keep tabs on him and make sure he was doing fine. Recently Alaia found out about the loss of her dear friend, Raina, when Elias graciously responded to one of her letters and since then the two have started sending letters back and forth getting to know each other.

Hirem

Hirem represents a moment to Alaia, a moment where it is expected your paths cross, but what isn't expected is the feelings to come from that meeting. Normally her draw to someone she is healing is simply the draw of a healer attempting to fix what is broken. Hirem shook that norm whether he meant to or not and now Alaia's head is spinning with the desire to get to know him more outside of the clinic.
