I've Got Dreams to Remember
Summer 86th 514 AV, 12th Bell
Location: Maiden's Cape

Dressed in his beige shorts and brown muscle shirt Ricky made sure that both he and Martin were ready to go out today, the boy being dressed in a small white tunic made out of cotton. It was easier for Martin to wear it given it made diaper duty easier when the time occurred, and of course he just looked too damn cute with a tunic that draped over his feet. The father had made sure they were well prepped for the day, as they were going to spend a little bit of time outside together.

Today was a little different for Ricky it seems, given that he had the first whole half of the day to himself and a patrol route later in the evening. It was certainly a shorter shift than he was used to, but given the number of recently new guardsmen it was of course expected to occasionally have fewer bells than the average normal. It wasn't like Ricky complained or anything, since he enjoyed the free time he got to spend with his son today. Usually he would've gone off to focus on training somewhere but Telion actually needed to go out and do a bit of shopping for supper again, and seeing as how Ricky was staying home most of the day he volunteered to watch Martin while she would tend to whatever task she had set. This of course meant that Ricky had to carry Martin around where ever he went, and you can't exactly just go on training with your own son around. That's a big no no indeed! Such a dangerous notion was an example of poor parenting skills, something that Ricky most definitely tried to avoid as a father.

So he took his son out to the one place where he knew they would enjoy each others time together, even though the location didn't really matter much to begin with, and of course Ricky made sure he had all the essentials he needed with him in the travel sack he carried. A spare cotton diaper for Martin with a rag to use for when it came to "clean up" should the occasion, more than likely, occur. Then there was also a couple bottles of milk and two loafs of bread. One was for Ricky when he would feel a bit peckish, while the other was used for Martin when he too would eat some milk soaked bread. The fisherman had to admit that it was a most impressive and useful idea, given that the boy practically had to live off of that for a season since his mother wasn't around. Nevertheless Gale did a great job of looking after and caring for the couple's son while they were gone, and now that they were back Martin could never be all the more happier to see his mother and father again everyday.

There was also the blanket and Martin's two toys Hannah bought for him the other day, which one of them was being played with by Martin as the other resided in the pack until they would arrive at their destination. When they came upon the statue of the Black Lady tucked within the somewhat secluded place of Maiden's Cape, Ricky slid the pack off his shoulder against the nearby tree as he brought Martin along to look out to the sea at first. Syna had risen to her highest point by now, the day marked by the sound of a bell to notify the city that it had been noon. The father smiled though as he watched his son at first, eyes changed back and forth between the boy and the sea while Martin occasionally looked too. He was more or less distracted with the Laviku toy figurine he'd been playing with on the way here, and yet even so the sight of the sea somehow made the boy smile just a bit. Ricky could easily connect with him in that regard, as he always had an affinity for the sea himself as a young boy.

He wondered if Martin would grow up to do the same hobbies and same things Ricky did as a child, seeing as how some of that stuff somehow tended to pass on into the next generation. But Ricky also had Telion to consider too, and what exactly she did as a child was a bit of a mystery he'd find out later. For now though, he was going to enjoy the midday with his son out along the cape. After a few chimes worth of effort to setting up a spot to relax, Ricky and his son Martin were finally comfortable on the blanket brought along. The child had been able to sit upright on his own now, where as before Ricky often had to help support the boy before they left. "Gods yew 've been growin' on me son." Ricky sighed with a soft grin on his face, the reality of Martin's growth bittersweet to see. Ricky brought his right hand over and fondled the boy's head with a soft thumb rub through the recently grown out hair. Though it was small and light Ricky somehow already knew and expected it to grow darker in due time, seeing as how the child already looked so much like his father already. "Oi'm sorry we 'ad t' disappear de way we did son, but Oi' promise Oi'll never let it 'appen again."

He swore this with a kiss then planted on Martin's forehead as the child looked up to him with a smile, the figurine dropped as he tried to grapple Ricky's prickly beard on his cheeks. Both smiled at one another as Ricky cuddled with the child then, his back on the blanket as he watched the child move and wiggle about in his arms. He couldn't help but adore the child and how cute he was, how sweet and innocent the boy looked in all his curious wonder. He then remembered the lullaby he'd learned from Telion, the one that he called The Sailor Song seeing as how it was mainly about the little sailor. That's what Martin was to them it seems, their little sailor who explored the new world before him bit by bit. It made his eyes water at the amount of joy he felt in the moment, knowing that every moment such as this was something precious to remember. When the father inhaled a quick breath of air, he couldn't help but sing that lullaby for his boy while the two of them were so relaxed right now.

"Come, sail on d tides o' weary sailor.
Come, sail on de gentle waters o' love.
Where de shores o' home 're waitin',
Where we'll be waitin' fer yew, me sailor, me little dove.
Come on in, an' leave yer t'oughts at de door,
Come on in, an' sit wit' us at de table,
Leave all but yer dreams an' love behind,
and tell us lil' sailor yer greatest fable."

He wasn't as great at most when it came to singing but he did manage to hold the soft tune in the melody, the sound of the lullaby a temptation to fall into sleep under the warm kiss of Syna. With this kind of weather it was impossible not to feel like napping, but of course Ricky wasn't keen to just let himself fall into a nap while his son was out in the open like this. Anything could happen to the child if he weren't careful, thus the father took to playfully nip and tickle the boy shortly after the song had ended. Laughter and giggles were the sound that filled the air, as they were both in their own little world now.

Her room was filled with the scent of cooked deer meat, and Myrian with a full stomach. It was rather refreshing for Riyk to get a full meal and not have to spend any Mizas. After she had given her dog a meat covered bone. Eventually Ntoto narrowed it down to the bone, it's edges were dangerously sharp and splintered. Riyk could see it now, the foolish dog shallowing the bone the wrong way.

Gasping she reached down and grabbed the bone from him. In Myrian she attempted to calm down the hungry dog, “Wait you little urchin while I save your life.” Of course Riyk knew that he was unable to understand her but she always talked to him as though he could. Ntoto whined and pawed at her leg from under the table. With the knife Riyk used to cook with, and a broken bone in her other hand.

Riyk would at least try to smooth the the dangerous edges. The cartilage was rather thick but she managed to shave down the bone. It didn't take to long when she moved quickly, white shavings covered her dark trousers and her white shirt. It worked out both ways slightly, the knife was sharpened lightly and Ntoto had a new distraction. Sighing Riyk handed the bone down to Ntoto and he took it joyfully. Wringing strained hand she found there was nothing really to do as of now.

With her elbow holding up her head she Riyk yawned out of boredom. Now the sound of teeth gnawing on a bone was getting irritating. Riyk had none to talk to now so she'd just make do with a one sided conversation with a dog. “ You know Ntoto I heard there were some places to see around here.” Riyk missed being able to take walks when she could talk to someone, with talking to a dog you tend to come off as insane.

Picking up her plate she placed it in the sink and cleaned it. Placing the bones off to the side she used the bones to feed Ntoto if he ever got tiresome during the day. Leaning back on the counter she wondered what she could do to spend her time. A few sailors would talk about Maiden's Cape, she wasn't to sure on how everything was but if she was going to be in Zeltiva she might as well see what there is to see. Sitting down on her mattress Riyk grabbed her dark leather boots and laced them, with the rib held tightly in his jaw. Ntoto followed behind her as she got out of her room and out of the World's Grotto Inn.

Cerulean Pier was a decent walk and she looked around. Finally she caught sight of the statue they spoke about, even the view from the Pier was magical, she couldn't wait to see what Maiden's Cape looked like. Ntoto trotted by her side and after a short walk they reached their destination. There were a few people walking around and then she heard the giggles of a child and the laughter of a man. Since Riyk was almost literally draw to the presence of a child or a baby she wanted to see where it was coming from. After awhile Riyk begun to think that she was going crazy but sure enough the two sources were sitting under a tree and seemed to not even notice that time was passing by. Riyk probably would have never found them if Ntoto wasn't drawn to the sound.

Riyk watched from a distance. Before she knew it Ntoto had took off, he saw another object he could fit in his mouth and chew, a small replica of the woman that looked out over the ocean. Quickly Riyk jogged after Ntoto, by the time she got there he was already strutting around with the toy in his mouth. Gasping she keeled down and wrenched the toy from his mouth. Thankfully there was nothing damaged on the item but it was covered in slobber. “Oh Ntoto..“ Riyk cleaned the toy and spoke out softly, afraid to disturb their affection moment if not already. “Excuse me sir.. “ With her hand held out she had the toy just waiting to be returned. “So sorry to interrupt you two, but I think this is yours. “ Riyk's accent was still very thick as she spoke and even sometimes splipped up on Common words. The baby's clothing was absolutly adore able and she couldn't help but smile, everything about that child was distracting. From his sprouting hair down to his little feet.

I've Got Dreams to Remember

It was strange how sudden the world can seem so small or irrelevant, when you find yourself caught up in your own little place of serenity and nothing else around you really mattered. And then all of a sudden reality has to come back to surprise you, this time in the form of a dog that just so happened to take interest in Martin's toy. When Ricky glanced up for a moment he noticed that some weird dark colored animal came along to snatch the figurine, he straightened up to where he pretty much stood on his knees as he watched the little bugger to see where it went off to. Now Ricky, given he practically took care of a dog for eight years, was by far one of the biggest animal lovers one could expect to meet... but when it came to some odd mongrel snatching his own child's toys that was a different story.

Especially when he didn't know if that mongrel was a wild creature or a trained animal in the beginning, but of course that question was quick to be answered as soon as a younger woman seemed to come along from around the bushes with the toy in hand. A look of relief seemed to follow from Ricky's expression as he thought to himself, Oh t'ank de Gods, in the process. He gave a small but friendly smile to the young woman as she approached, her bright eyes an immediate standout from the dark hair that adorned her young and pretty face. "T'anks lass." He responded with a slight nod, as he accepted the return of Martin's toy with appreciation expressed clearly in his eyes. When he heard her speak he could already tell she wasn't native to Zeltiva, and using the memory of Syliras which he just so recently returned from, she probably wasn't exactly a native there either. So she was either from a far northern part of Syliras or... farther up north.

He remembered Ayatah, she had an accent like this young woman here. Where was she from again? Taloba! That's right, Ricky remembered now. The stories of Taloba which involved living out in the wilderness, so did that mean this woman was from Taloba as well? Possibly... Ricky wasn't going to dwell on that matter, it would reveal itself sooner or later anyways. He noticed that she'd more or less watched Martin, a quick glance down to his son also brought a grin on his face once more when he saw what exactly the child was doing. Martin had reached for one of his feet and brought it up towards his chest, his fingers curiously pressed and gripped around certain spots as he still seemed to be lost in his own world. It made Ricky chuckle as he placed the Laviku figurine down next to the other toy, which was a wooden block carved into a ship, of course after another glance returned to the unusual dog that was with her, he changed his mind and proceeded to return the two into the bag he brought along. For safety measure of course.

"So ye must be new t' dese parts. M'name 's Ricky an' dis be me son Martin, mind if Oi ask who ye and yer furry companion are?" He asked with a humble attitude, as he scooped Martin into his arms while sitting back down on the blanket, he then sat Martin on his lap as they both looked at the new strangers with interest. Martin was more curious about the dog rather than the woman, but Ricky was actually quite focused on both at the moment. He wasn't entirely defensive about meeting strangers with his son, but he definitely wanted to be a bit cautious given that he's had quite the hectic year already.

oocI didn't really think to point this out, but the whole "hectic year" thing can actually play in part to what Riyk can see. :) Since Rick's wearing a muscle shirt the only visible scar you can see is the one on his left shoulder, but you can also notice that his left pinky is missing. Figured those can help add more detail if you like, and you can resort to Ricky's physical description in the CS to see what all scars and marks he has.

Riyk offered a honest smile and nodded, “Oh, no problem.” Quickly she picked up Ntoto almost like a child and whispered a few words in Myrian, scolding him. “You know better than to take what isn't yours.” If he didn't understand her then the tone in her voice was enough to stop his wagging tail. For a minute he didn't look at Riyk but once he did his mouth opened and licked her chin.

Jerking away from his slobber she accepted the apology and her frown was no longer. Even laughing softly she directed herself back to the man and his child. They looked so happy. Riyk would honestly give anything to have that happiness that was in the eyes of this man and his child. Something in her head clicked that she would never have that, she could have cried then but she would hold it in for now.

Instead of waterworks she provided a smile. Once she was fully engaged into a conversation she didn't even ask but she sat down, staying off of the clean blanket and Ntoto immediately was sitting down on what room he had of her legs. His long tail batted her side as he watched the two as well. “Yes, I am. Got here not to long ago actually.” She paused for a minute to stroke Ntoto's soft fur.

“My name is Riyk and this is Ntoto.” Although those names were hard to swallow she took them with pride. The conversation hauled for a minute. Riyk took in everything she could now about Ricky. On his right shoulder was a very prominent cicatrix. Sure they had some brutal scars in Taloba but she also had to take in the fact that one of his fingers were missing. He must have been into some dangrous work, not to mention he had a child.

Also she found the tattoos very interesting. Going an a limb she broke the silence, of words. Other than Martin's giggles and language-less noises. “You and your wife must be very proud for such a adorable son.” Riyk would never have the chance to have her own little bundle of life.

There would always be a pang of sadness burrowed though her bright smiles.

Ricky's suspicions were all the more proven true it seems, as the girl who called herself "Riyk" admitted that she in fact arrived here recently. When she had introduced herself and the dog she held Ricky made sure to provide a soft and kind smile, as to show politeness while he paid her with attention. She was definitely an interesting person to speak with, given that she sounded like an exotic foreigner from far off. When she made the comment about Martin and how proud his parents were to have him, Ricky felt a good laugh escape as he nodded in agreement for the most part. He did feel pride and joy in raising such a wonderful and adorable little boy, and of course Telion felt the same way given the fact she was the mother of their little boy.

"Yea, we're both pretty happy t' 'ave 'im 'n our lives." The father admitted with a wide grin as he lifted Martin up to snuggle the boy close for a moment, it would be in that moment that Riyk could definitely see the strong resemblances of the father that were already present within the child. Comparing the two together it already looked as though Ricky had a miniature version of himself in his arms, save for the color difference that resided in both of their eyes. "He's just been de best t'ing t' 'appen in me life." Ricky added as he teased the boy in his arms with his chin, the facial hair an instant tickler when Martin felt the prickly sensations all over his neck. It wasn't until then of course Ricky noticed that Riyk had already taken to take a seat on the blanket next to them, a humble smile cast her way as he reminded himself to take more initiative and invite them to join next time.

Of course that didn't mean he couldn't make up for it, seeing as how they were here now and could very well be hungry. "Need a snack or somet'in? Oi've got a bit o' bread if ye feel a bit peckish." He offered as he dragged the bag closer to him and Martin, he then split his attention to where he could hear her response while at the same time prepping Martin for feeding time. First to come was the two packages of wrapped bread loafs and when those were placed next to him, and then out next was one of the bottles of milk he brought as well. At this point Martin bounced up and down out of excitement, as he already knew just what was about to come next. It brought a laugh out of Ricky as he would say "Hold yer fish nets son," and lean just a bit back so Martin would be doing the same, seeing as how he needed two hands to do this and didn't want his son falling forward.

First one of the bread loafs would be taken and placed before him halfway unwrapped, that way should Riyk have decided she was hungry she could help herself to whatever she wanted. Next Ricky unwrapped half of the second loaf he brought along, and then uncorked the bottle of milk afterwards while Martin watched his fathers hands with hungry eyes. Ricky pinched a large chunk of bread and tore it off from the loaf, and held it against the lip of the bottle so the bread would soak the milk in once he tiled it. After that had been done he placed the bottle down next to him and held the bread in front of Martin, the biggest smile on Ricky's face shortly followed as he watched the child take the wet chunk and put it in his mouth to suck on it. Drool and slobber soon started to follow shortly afterwards but that was already to be expected, which is why Ricky had the rag he normally used ready as he would gently wipe Martin's mouth as the boy pretended he was chewing.

"So tell me 'bout yer self lass, where ya from? What 're yer plans 'ere in Zeltiva?" He finally thought to ask seeing as how he wasn't exactly alone, he didn't want to be a bad host for good company after all.

Part of Riyk enjoyed watching the happiness surround each other. The other part, the reality check, was mixed with envy. Of course she had Ntoto but they way the two connected, she could almost literally feel their joy radiating off of them both. While people had their children she had a dog, sure it wasn't something you could have a conversation with but, he would do. As soon as she was offered food Ntoto would have leaped from her lap but Riyk's gentle arms were holding him back. He let out a little bark, it was barley audible and came out more of a whine but she didn't accept the offer.

“Oh no thank you, we ate before coming here.” Smiling she declined the offer despite Ntoto's futile attempts to get a little more in his stomach, as though he could get more. Riyk fed him quiet well despite his actions towards the bread. Riyk gently put her hand on the side of his face to keep him from fumbling out of her grasp. As Ricky fed his son she thought of her parents.

They probably would have never treated her with as much compassion as he did for his son. If Riyk and her sister were treated softly then it would probably be only for special occasions. The two Myrian girls were loved as children but it was more of tough love than gentle. Out of her two parents, her father was the most compassionate one of the two. Part of Ricky reminded her of her father. Sure he was a whole another race and entirely different in looks but it was the way he cared for Martin.

For a second Riyk hesitated in answering the question, she wasn't sure what she was to do in Zeltiva. The she just told the truth, for once in awhile.
"I was born and raised in Taloba." Next she expected a whole slue of question, 'Have you ever eaten a person before.' or 'what does human taste like'. Shaking her head with a smile she added, "Not to long ago I didn't even know what was on the other side of the jungle.. " Pausing for a tick she remember what it was like, and she did miss it. Wether it was seeing tamed massive Myrian Tigers roam around with their riders at their sides or seeing her own kind daily. Riyk hadn't actually come in contact with a full blooded Myrian. Of course normally they choose to stay in their homeland. Unlike Riyk of course. Eventually she would have to travel back.

"I don't really have any set plans." Eventually Ntoto calmed down over the bread and curled tightly in a ball of fluff and rested his head on her leg. "Just to see what I can see I suppose." Riyk didn't exactly like to speak about herself all the time and mostly just listened so she asked a question. "What about you?"Nodding towards Ricky she waited for his questions and answers.

Ricky gave a polite nod when she respectfully declined to have a share of the other loaf, an amused chuckle sounded out as he noticed her furry companion seemed to disagree with her on the choice. Nevertheless he wasn't going to torment the little thing with it and decided to move it back closer to him and Martin, "Its 'ere if ya change yer mind." He offered as he returned to feeding Martin, he was amazed at how quick the boy would eat his bread. As he tore another bit off, this one a bit larger than the last, he repeated the process of tipping the bottle over. When the chunk seemed to be soaked to the core well enough, he offered it for the child in his lap to take. Of course with it so close to him already, Martin only leaned forward and took the whole thing in his mouth rather than in a hand. "Jeez, ye big mouth." Ricky teased in curious manner, of course he still paid attention to Riyk when she started to answer the questions he'd asked a moment earlier.

"Taloba must'a been a big place," He suggested with a humble smile on his face, "Can't say Oi'd fancy livin' in a place like dat." He admitted with ease though he hoped the statement might not have offended her. "Comin' t' Zeltiva 'ad t' be a much 'arder choide t'ough, all dat travelin would'a definitely worn me down." He added with a slight humorous tone, to hopefully bring a bit of laughter out of the girl. When he heard why she decided to come, he couldn't help but think there was more to her story than that. Nobody would travel thousands of miles just to see a place, not without the right cause and the right reasons of course. He wasn't prone to push the matter though, whether there was a story or not he felt she had her reasons to avoid telling it. It wouldn't do to put her in an uncomfortable position when she's only recently arrived at a place so new to her, a place filled with so much opportunity that she might find herself settling down here.

It was a possibility he already knew existed for her, as Zeltiva offered so much to foreigners. Yet at the same time it was also a place that was darker at its core, a place not many here would expect given that it has such enlightening offers to provide. Politics were like that it seems, yet even so they weren't something that Ricky would discuss quite yet. He had much to engage in himself later on, whereas right now he was more focused on his family and work life rather than the city life all together. "Me? Not much t' say Oi can promise ye dat." He reflected with a modest smile that followed with a laugh, one could say he definitely didn't take to talking about himself that much. "Oi was born an' raised 'ere in Zeltiva, grew t' be a fisherman later on. Oi serve in de Wave Guard an' spend time wit' dis little monster 'ere." He gently took Martin's wrist and mimed a wave with it towards the girl, a sincere grin on his face as he watched the child's face for a tick while he tried to figure out just what he was being made to do.

"Married t' a beautiful wife an' dat's about it really, doubt ye'd wanna hear a whole story 'bout me self. Much better t'ings t' do after all." He shrugged the idea off without thinking it might've teased her curiosity a little, honestly he didn't wish to waste her time with a whole "life and sob story" he had to share. "How was de trip t' Zeltiva? Oi've only ever ventured out t' Syliras a couple o' times, so any places beyond dat 're kinda a mystery t' me." He prodded curiously as he started to bounce the boy up and down just a little, Martin had taken to fully watch Riyk now while slobber seemed to drool out his mouth and cover his chin.

I've Got Dreams to Remember

Smiling softly Riyk acknowledged the offering of bread. Martin was quite the eater, he took bites like Ntoto. Even though her companion was able to sleep deeply through voices, his eyes were half closed. Soft amber eye's watched Martin and Ricky, and not to mention the food being passed around the two. Every mention of Taloba would spark emotion in Riyk's eyes. Mostly a yearning to be back where she was born.

A soft chuckle emerged from her throat,“Surprisingly the travel wasn't the hardest part.” Even in Riyk's mind she could still see the beauty in Taloba. One day she'd go back. From the tops of massive jungle trees to the soil rich dirt under bare feet. While yes, there were the downsides of Taloba, most people got it wrong who haven't been there for themselves. Most of what people said of her home she didn't mind, they were whispers, Riyk knew better. Slightly leaning in, Riyk was intrigued with anyone who had a story to tell.

"Wave Guard, quite the job." It wasn't any of her business but an idea popped in her head, how can someone have such a dangerous job and take care of a son. Then when he mentioned his wife she made more sense of it all. Her mind returned back to the conversation, adding in an "Ah" or a "Mmh." every once and awhile. Showing her interest his words.

Once Ricky wrapped it up with an adorable wave with Martin's hand. Hopping to get a smile, or even laughter out of the child Riyk waved back, almost whispering softly "Hey there little man!" using a higher voice Ntoto's large ears shot up, following his head and body. Out of excitement, almost all of his body begun to wiggle with his tail. His eyes jumped from Riyk to Martin. Giving a laugh herself she placed her hands on his chest, to keep him from leaping out of her arms.

Beginning to answer his question with a gentle laughter in the first words. "Lets see.. the trip wasn't all that bad. I got well antiquated with sea water. I can tell you that." By that Riyk meant always getting sea sick and leaning over the railing of a ship. Riyk looked at a pattern in the blanket, trying to think of how to describe Black Rock without making it sound like a living hell. Which for her it was. Turning her attention back to Ricky she came up with something simple. "Black Rock is not the best place if you don't enjoy random hauntings.."

I've Got Dreams to Remember

As Ricky listened to Riyk talk about the trip he chuckled in the process, a bit of admiration found in the fact she didn't find the traveling in being the hard part of her journey here. When he left Zeltiva for Syliras it was by far the hardest thing to do for him, but that was because there were several factors that just made the act of traveling difficult to begin with anyway. Yet when he thought about the return trip back home, he realized that it had somehow been a lot easier compared to leaving. So in a sense the trip wasn't all that hard, it just depended on how well prepared one was to make the trip.

This in mind Ricky couldn't help but wonder if she felt the same when she left her home, if she really wanted to go or had to out of necessity for some hidden reason. Gods only knew he left because it was a matter of life or death on his part, but now that he managed to not only live but make it back home in good health, he was determined to let this second chance not got to waste at all. "Only de best job Oi could'a ever asked fer." He quipped with a grin on his face as he glanced down at Martin once more, the child looked to be finished with the next chunk of bread already. He laughed a bit though when he watched Riyk interact with the child though, a smile formulated on Martin's face as he threw his arms up and down in response to the attention he received. That was when it hit Ricky all of a sudden, a subtle notion that the baby had yet to soil the diaper... up until now.

It was funny how parents somehow knew the timing of their child's habits when nature called, and yet even when Ricky decided to check and make sure he found that the smell of baby poo soon permeated his personal space. "Daaaaamn!" He grimaced just a bit at the smell, his attention redirected at Riyk before he decided to do anything just yet. "Got t' go abroad de sea and visit ot'er places eh? Definitely a good way t' learn more o' de word." He encouraged with a grin as he looked over to the pack he brought along, he decided to warn Riyk of what was about to transpire next as he pulled it closer to him. "Just a warnin' lass as nature called fer Martin, so Oi'll be changin' 'is diaper an' usin' a bit o' magic t' clean it." He said as he pulled out the spare diaper he brought along, along with the rag he would use to clean the child's behind in the process.

He started by turning Martin over to lay the child on his back, and undid the knots that kept his dirty diaper wrapped comfortably on so he could unfold the cloth. Having done this almost a thousand times by now Ricky had already been accustomed to how the smell was, but given the fact he'd spent practically a season away he had almost forgotten just how bad it can get sometimes. Martin definitely didn't seem to happy about the act of his changing, and fell into a fit as he tried to squirm free from his father's hold. "Heeeey, ye're okay. Quite yer squirmin' son." He glanced up to Riyk once more as he continued to with the changing process. "Tell us more 'bout Black Rock, or 'bout de ot'er places ye've gone t' visit." As he said this Martin looked up to see Riyk and her dog, which the two would look upside down to him now so that would serve as distraction while Ricky changed him.

As Riyk would tell him about whatever she chose to share, Ricky would already have the dirty diaper placed next to his lap with the fisces covered right now, as he didn't want the sight of it to gross the poor girl out at the moment. What he did next was take the rag he brought along and held it in his right hand, while the left was used to angle up Martin's legs so he could clean the child's bottom. Before he could wipe though he had to dampen the cloth some, which was where his Reimancy came into play next. As Ricky willed his Djed to come forth through his right arm, what would've been a royal blue ooze came out in the form of a thin gas instead. With his Res in this form he made it shroud the rag at first, as the substance would "soak" into the cloth little by little. By that time the Res was transmuted to water, making the dry cloth turn damp within ticks upon impulse, and then allowing Ricky to proceed with gently wiping his son's bottom until it was finally clean.
