He stuck the pole into the ground, lifted himself up, launched his entire body towards her once again.. but this time, there was no movement at all. He was quite shocked - but at the same time, rather pleased. His strike looked like it was going to hit.. he even flicked his tail in a wide arc striking up, bringing his balance swinging high and his feet raised for a lovely two-footed kick square in the chest. Of course it likely wouldn't be the best place to strike - he'd prefer the face, but he couldn't build up enough speed and he could never dismount just right to make an aerial kick. Still, he'd be happy to give her a good thwack right in the chest - likely knock some air out of her and give her a good few more bruises. He wasn't going to ease up while she was down, either - he was going to take the opportunity while it was there, get a few shots around the neck and the head. Make her regret not moving out of the way!

What came next was an utter surprise. He was already going pretty damn fast - although, not nearly as fast as these poles could propel someone. But she was intent on making the impact solid - throwing a fist with such speed, he barely had time to react. His poised tail flicked once again, winding in a half-circle to bring it back to the bottom before it raised even higher - instead of drawing his legs higher, it drew his entire body into the air, as he released the pole. Likely it'd clatter to the ground somewhere nearby - which was good, because he wouldn't need it for a while. Then, the tail snapped down from its high position, suddenly pushing weight into his lower body, before it snapped backwards and out straight behind him. At the severe cost of his current speed, his weight shot down towards his toes and ripped backwards. With his upper body now towards Suress, he was still flying towards her - but now, e was going head-first.

The bizarre contortion meant that he twisted just over her knuckles, but on his four paws were digging into her wrist and the back of her hand for purchase. Using her arm as a path, he leapt along her extended arm, down her bicep, and launched himself straight for her throat - both paws outstretched and all. Not to choke her.. well, perhaps to choke her. But not kill her. Just. surprise her and weaken her a little. Possibly add a few more punches around the nose after he was done as well.

[Anthonius Fighters' Pits] Putting Your Back Into It.

Suresslynn's first thought when Archailist flipped over her hand like that was that his agility was absolutely amazing. Her second thought was that he had just dodged her absolute fastest punch. She wasn't sure what else she had to try and hit him with, aside from a risky move that she'd never practiced, only heard of. Of course, if she hit him with it, he'd almost certainly feel it. If she missed and he hit her, on the other hand, she'd be in for a whole new experience in pain. The Dhani had heard of people's careers ending because they messed up the move, which is why she never even tried to practice it.

Of course, even if she had felt up to using it, the feeling of the squirrels claws elicited a his of excited pain as she realized how close he was. Too close for most of her techniques, and even the ones she knew wouldn't be able to hit him. They were designed for people her own size. Not squirrel shaped and sized Pycons launching from her arm. Then she noticed his pole falling to the ground.

If she could pull off her next move, she'd have a definite advantage, but if she couldn't...well, winning the fight would be like trying to walk up a loose sand dune. Pretty petching close to impossible to pull off. As the squirrel flew towards her, the Dhani moved as fast as she could, attempting to duck under the Pycon and put herself between him and his pole.

Normal humans, he likely would have been able to nail in the face, if he went for the throat and they tried to duck. Of course, Suresslynn wasn't a human.. and when she moved in for a duck, he knew he needed to act damn fast to make sure he didn't lose the opportunity. His elongated paws swept down and dug in tight to the top of the girls bicep, just underneath the shoulder. Thank goodness for extendable arms. Indeed, his clay may have moved from the other parts of his body and into the arms, extending them significantly in order to reach such a long distance, before pulling back into the rest of his body once more as he pulled hard and moved with the duck, still about level with the throat. He didn't waste any time after that. Keeping a tight grip around the shoulder, he scurried around her collarbone, reached back with one paw and began to quickly push all of his available clay into the fist.

He didn't put too much in because he didn't want to stand there, right on her shoulder, for too long and give her the perfect opportunity to throw him off with a well-timed swipe with the back of her hand. A quick burst of clay strengthening its structure, and then he made a solid punch right for the middle of her neck. True, there wasn't much range, and he had very little momentum compared to before... but hey, a punch was a punch. It wasn't going to squish and it was certainly going to hurt, one way or another. If she thinks this is bad, she should wait until I find some other pressure points to use... When she was incapacitated, he could finally begin to explore al those places the humans had that made them hurt. Perhaps somewhere around the shoulders, places on the head or the chest. He was still learning about some of these points.

In truth, he didn't know what would happen when he made a good hit for the throat. Of course he'd seen plenty of knights stop the moment a sword or something of the like went for the neck - it was the one connection to the rest of the body. Likewise the Pycon would probably stop if something was threatening near to his neck - it was the one point that connected his nexus to the rest of his body. Maybe that was it - the human nexus was in the head, and if he managed to get a good punch, he could temporarily remove its connection with the rest of their body? Oh, that would be a sight to see.. and something he definitely wanted to try out.

Suresslynn had forgotten that Archailist could extend his limbs at will. So naturally, the Pycon was able to grab her should and pull himself in, latching himself onto her with little apparent intention of letting go anytime soon. "Well, this is going absolutely perfectly." The Dhani was pretty sure that the squirrel wasn't going to be dislodged with a simple swipe of her hand after he got himself well and truly attached and even she didn't move fast enough to knock him off before he got his grip.

Before the Dhani could think of a plan to dislodge her passenger, Archailist hit her in the throat, which was not a particularly enjoyable sensation, even for her. Letting out a retching sound, Suresslynn stumbled a bit before reaching up to grab the clay squirrel she now had every intention of hurling across the room if she got the chance. Not she figured she'd be able to win this fight, since in addition to her throat hurting a lot more than she wanted it too, she was having trouble breathing.

As soon as the punch connected, he could feel the flesh convulsing slightly before the girl began to make odd sounds and choking noises. He'd definitely hit something important, although apparently not hard enough, because she was still standing.. even if it was a little shakily. He was ready to throw another punch, when a hand swooped down to try and catch him off-guard.. so he quickly scurried underneath her chin, around to the opposite side of her face, before grabbing handfuls of the skin of her cheek for purchase. Strange that there was no hair for him to grab onto, otherwise the attack could have been a lot easier.. not to mention more powerful.. than it was going to turn out at that moment.

He swung himself around, lifted both of his feet with his grip tightening to the best of its ability on her cheek, and slammed into the side of her nose with a hard-hitting two-footed kick. Well, it was the one place that looked like it could show a bit of vulnerability, like the throat. Protruding at such an odd angle and all. Apart from the throat.. and likely the eyes.. the squirrel was running out of options on where to hit around the upper parts of her body. Especially at such close range. At the same time, he didn't want to get off her.. because as soon as he gave her distance, she could start throwing punches and kicks at him. He'd throw away all of the hard work it took to actually get onto her body in the first place. Damn it all, why was it so complicated?

Oh.. wait. After the kick.. assuming it went according to plan.. he could swing himself around, and slide down the middle of the back of her shirt. Humans had limited joints. She wouldn't be able to reach around, while he held himself in the right spot.. and that meant a good few attacks into the middle of the back, while she was unprepared. Just like what he'd intended to do with that female knight, before she'd stopped the fight and declared him the winner. He never did understand why the girl had wanted to stop so soon, anyway.. all he'd done was climb underneath her plate-mail and through her clothes. Not like the clothes were even a part of her body in the first place. How else did she expect him to fight - just punch, over and over, against steel plate in the hopes that it'd eventually hurt?

Sometimes, knights could act really dumb. Not like Suresslynn - she was playing smart. Fighting with more than just her feet, using her speed against something smaller than her.. of course it wasn't really playing to her advantage, as of yet. But at least it was a welcome breath of fresh air from all of the other knights, squires, and the like. At least it was fun. Really fun, actually. She's probably having just as much fun as me. She's been smiling so often.

It was really difficult to grab something so small that was hanging to you like that, especially when it intelligent enough to dodge as well as he could. The feeling of his claws didn't bother her, in fact she found it enjoyable. The punch to the throat was a different matter entirely, and she really wanted him off. Preferably before he could hit her in the throat again. However, he didn't seem interested in coming off as he gripped onto her cheek. Why her cheek she had no idea, she had hair on her head like humans did. Granted, it was fairly short and there was a surprising lack of hair anywhere else on her. Or maybe he was being considerate, for a given value of consideration since he was latched onto her face, and not grabbing her hair.

Either way, being kicked in the nose by the little clay squirrel hurt like she couldn't believe. Her vision wavered as her eyes watered up and she had a distinct feeling her nose might be broken, or possibly dislocated. Easily fixable either way, but she wanted that Pycon off her even more now. Making another grab for him, she tried to catch Archailist between her face and her shoulder by leaning her head to the side he was attached to and bringing her shoulder up.

With the second jarring blow, he could tell that he was really pushing in the right spots. She wasn't laughing, or smiling any more - at least, not in any way he could see. Quite the contrary - with his paws buried in her cheeks, he could feel the tension that was in them. Good. Now he could at least show himself for something more than a cheesy fighter that could only scream and shout during their last meeting. He wouldn't stop until there was at least a little bit of pain. Although.. he couldn't help feeling, as they slipped deeper into intense concentration that never wavered between each-other and the surrounding fighters that were really becoming quite nervous, that he'd likely end up just as injured through one good hit from her while she was in such a state.

Still, that wasn't going to stop him from landing a few more decent punches before she called it a day. When she made for another uncoordinated grab for his considerably smaller form, by trying to squash him, he seized the moment of opportunity and slid down her offered shoulder before it could crush him against the very cheek he'd been grappling with a moment earlier, and down against the curve of her back and reaching somewhat close to her spine. Instead of using her skin for purchase, he had a much better solution - grabbing handfuls of her shirt instead, so that his back pressed against hers, but at least he had a firm position. It wasn't in the middle of her back.. rather close to her kidneys, actually. But it'd have to do. He'd just end up punching and kicking until he found a suitable sweet spot once again.

And that was exactly what he started doing. Keeping the grip of at least one paw, he reared back the other and began pounding it against her back, over and over. The clay stiffened as more and more filled the fist, building tension and density to make sure that there was at least some strength inside as he rammed it against her back - once even slamming into her spine, around the lower back. The claws of his feet dug into her flesh, half for purchase and half to try and add a little more pain to the mix. He didn't care how much damage he did any more - because it wasn't like it was going to be that much. She'd survived this much of a barrage, after all. One punch from her would likely turn him into a living pancake, if not throw him the length of the entire pit. Meanwhile, he could throw hundreds, and just end up really annoying her.

"Ha! Come on!" He'd been trying to hold back his shouting because they were in a crowded area, although hushed whispers and heavy grunts were becoming louder and louder as the fight went on. His frustration at the situation - where he could clearly see that he could only win by causing significant pain over and over again - was only swelling as the time went on, and more and more attacks were simply soaked up by the snake-girl. She as yet to hit him.. but heck, it felt like it was only a matter of time until he started breaking kneecaps, or she started crushing him into pulp.

Suresslynn sighed as Archailist swerved out of her grasp again, then let out a gasp of mixed surprise and excited pain as the Pycon started punching and kicking her in the side, right over her kidneys. Not nearly as painful as the punch to throat or the kick in the nose, and a lot more enjoyable, but she wasn't sure how much abuse her kidneys could take. And then the squirrel hit her in the spine, which hurt pretty badly and caused her knees to buckle.

Regaining her balance, the Dhani grinned as Archailist egged her on. "All right, then...I think I know how to dislodge you this time." she said, regaining her balance. She couldn't reach the Pycon, not with her hands or her feet. On the hand, she was fairly certain she could reach him with the floor, or at least, she could get him onto the floor. That she thought this was a good idea probably meant that she wasn't thinking straight anymore, but regardless of that, Suresslynn let herself fall on her back, attempting to stun the Pycon.

He may not be confident in his damage.. but he was sure, by all reason, that he could take anything that she threw at him. He'd done more than enough of it by now, that was for sure. More punches than he could count from her alone.. feet from monks.. monster bugs.. more monks.. goodness, it was a miracle he'd managed to survive through it all for so long, and only manage to be crushed several times and have his arm ripped off. If this snake-girl thought that she could beat him in a game of wits, just because she was a little bit bigger than he was.. well then, he welcomed her to try. "Come on then, show me what you've got.." He punctuated his eager voice with a few extra punches, especially around the same point as the first strike against the spine. He knew that was a weak-spot as well, now.. he could feel her legs quivering, through the vibrations.

At first, nothing. He wasn't sure what she had planned.. but he certainly couldn't feel anything at all. Then, a very familiar feeling crept up on the squirrel.. a slight pull, although not by anything physical. More like a weightlessness.. and when he saw the movement from through the shirt, he knew exactly what she was planning to do. Oh petch. He knew how to escape this.. he knew! It'd been tried before, when he crawled onto peoples' backs.. they thought that just through falling, by using their sheer weight, that they'd be able to defeat him. Well, not this time. Not by a long-shot. With handfuls of shirt, he used the grip to power his way around the side of the girl - the same side that he'd been punching into for a while, just above the hip. He didn't need to crawl very far.. just around the side so that he wouldn't be in the way when she managed to crash-land on the dirt.

Indeed, his tail just made it out from underneath her, and he was left at her side when she tumbled. Of course, both of them were fine.. well, moderately fine anyway. However, it was about that moment that Arch realized just how many people were watching. There was a concerned, collective gasp of quite a few people - obviously not an entire crowd, but a few were concerned - when a woman, with nobody else in sight even near to her, suddenly tumbled straight onto her back for no apparent reason. There were even a few bystanders moving in with nothing but good intentions, to help the girl up. However, the squirrel wasn't done with his punches, far from it. With the girl on her back, and more importantly on the ground, he had all the room in the world to be able to lay into her body and use that moment of weakness to his absolute advantage.

The first thing he did was weed himself around the side and onto her stomach - where he immediately reached up with both paws, curling them together into one large fist, before slamming it down onto her stomach with all of his strength. Then, he moved up a little more, to the solar plexus.. where he repeated the process once again. Never moving from underneath her shirt, he just appeared as a large lump squirming around her body to the observer... or to Suresslynn, if she cared to look down. After launching both of those strikes he didn't bother going for the actual chest itself - that wasn't a good point to hit, if he'd already taken down the solar plexus. However, he did squirm right up over her chest - between her breasts - in order to try and launch one final hit right against the chin. Sort-of a finale attack. He doubted that she could take much more of this...

[Anthonius Fighters' Pits] Putting Your Back Into It.

Postby Suresslynn on August 23rd, 2014, 9:01 pm

The Pycon evaded her back flop more easily than Suresslynn had expected. Far too easily, really, and she figured she wasn't the first one to have tried something like this against him. In the end, all she accomplished was hurting herself. And then Archailist hit her in the stomach, followed by a punch to the sternum. That and the punch to the throat really got to her, and she retched again. This time seemed to be coming up with her retching though, and she rolled over, not even particularly paying attention to what Archailist was doing and just barely managed to get herself supported on her hands and knees before she started throwing up.

It didn't last long, since the last thing she'd eaten had been a pair of mice when in snake form, but it had hurt like hell coming up and now she was a little irritated. More about losing her lunch, which had taken a half hour to catch and eat than about the injuries. She didn't even particularly blame Arch. But she did still intend to win. Standing back up, the Dhani started to pull off her shirt, but was stopped by a hand on her shoulder. "Huh?" Suresslynn turned around to face the man who'd stopped her

"Okay...first off, we have a strict clothing policy here. Second, you just threw up, the two of you should probably stop." the man said, his face somewhat pale. Suresslynn looked around at the other fighters she hadn't even really noticed until then, then sighed. "Fine." she said, jerking her shoulder from the other man's grasp. "You okay with that, Archailist?"
