[Baroque's Bay] Doctor Doctor.....HEAL ME!!! [S'Essy]

Postby Robinson Gilli on September 7th, 2014, 5:32 pm

Fall 15, 514 A.V. 14th bell 5th chime

The docks weren’t really Robin’s favourite place in Sunberth, to be fair in a city of scum like this such places to earn the distinction of ‘favorite’ are quite few. The docks were pretty much like the rest of the city’s dangerous areas, different in that it smelled like shyke mixed with salt which truly gave it an unpleasant smell that only a sailor could love. He sighed to himself as he watched the ocean waves move gently about, as if trying to move the entirety of the docks from its place.

He suddenly winced as he felt a jabbing pain in his shoulder, placing a left hand over it ‘ Damn that quack…and damn that shyker who gave me the wound’ He thought bitterly, in truth he hated the quack of a healer more than the foe who stabbed him in the shoulder with a dagger. That quack was a sick petcher to be sure but sadly enough he was one of the bastards who knew his job well, he just hoped he doesn’t get ‘recruited’ into whatever he does with his other patients, petch that would have been another nightmare.

He grunted loudly once more as he felt his shoulder wince again ‘Damn that man to whatever oblivion awaits him in death…Petch I think my wound is open’ Indeed, he could feel the trickling of blood beneath his coat and shirt, some of it trickling down his arm and dripping on the wooden planks beneath him “Shyke, Shyke Shyke” He muttered repeatedly in a low voice, this was not a good situation especially if any of the shykers at the docks decided he was easy pickings. Suddenly he began to move away from the docks, wincing all the way as he lowered his left hand from his shoulder as to not give away his wound to any opportunist bastard.

Still, what would he do?! He didn’t want to go back to that quack doctor again….Shyke…..

[Baroque's Bay] Doctor Doctor.....HEAL ME!!! [S'Essy]

She already spent more time in Sunberth than she ever wanted to. It was fall fast enough. But S'Essy would spend more time here, she didn't know how much but even the thought of it made her dizzy and tired. She wasn't sure if it was her doom and was a foolish attempt or her chance to prove herself as a healer. Probably both, although her Call... she had to stay next to Markus and if he needed to stay here then so she did have to. It felt hard, but she had to stop thinking about herself this time and stop whining.

She had to think clearly somewhere else. Not in their room, she couldn't do think there. She already put her bandanna and her cloak on herself. Hiding her true nature from everyone. As much as she didn't like this, she would still heal those who needed it without question and to do that she had to survive and not let others enslave her. She didn't betray her goddess in anyway. She went out and headed towards the one place she always felt comfortable. Near the docks.

Her beloved Sea God was there. She needed it more than ever, but she wasn't going out to swim alone anymore, rarely and only if Markus was there. She couldn't risk it anymore. Though she still had problem navigating in the city, finding the sea, the ocean was never a problem for her... nor for anyone she thought. She was walking calmly, trying to not draw any attention till she arrived to her destination.

The docks were there with Laviku's domain. But she wasn't here to swim, she found herself hanging out here even if she didn't swim, just to see it. She could clear her head a bit. Or she thought that way. Her attention went to a man, who was also there, being in pain. His shoulder... she saw blood, he was injured. It seemed she couldn't hide her gift today. She gave a sigh, her Oath. It was always a risk here but she had to heal everyone.

She approached to the man, looking around. No one was there other than them. Bad or good luck? She greeted him. "Good day! Let me help you out!" And without waiting for any answer, she put her hand on his shoulder and healed it with her gnosis. Mending the injury which ceased to exist. "Feeling better? Then I would ask a favor, let this be our secret and I can help you whenever you need it again." Under her hood, she smiled at the stranger, though her heart was beating fast. She could be never sure of the reactions and actions.

He was still quite panicky at the concept of where to go to get his arm healed, it was like letting shark sniff blood and once they did they would jump him like was a bar wench with the shortest skirt imaginable, which to be fair made for a ghastly appearance on the young mercenary. It was then that this young Konti woman, or at least whatever constitutes as young by Konti standards not that he would know. She was of common appearance to those of her species, blond from what strands he could see, petite, a bit scaley and rather pretty…. The blond and pretty part of course was one of their most popular features, though there was something extra that Robin didn’t seem to know.

Whatever happened next happened too fast for him to register as she spoke her words and without any consent from him began healing him with….well whatever it was it was magic that was for sure and he didn’t much care for magic, finding it with apathy as he did most people in this city. Still….whatever she did worked, so she was certainly not a quack and thus garnered a bit of significant admiration from him.

After all was said and done, he found himself trying to find the words to say to her but decided to simply give a nod. Only then did the man seemed to find the words to speak, much as it annoyed him “I…owe you a debt” A simple promise of secrets did not feel like a proper way to repay a debt, and she was a healer….magic as it may be. There was a debt to be paid, and mercenaries always had to repay ‘em.

There was still surprise on his face. Only giving a nod and didn't speak. She wasn't sure about his reaction still. He looked innocent but she tried to keep a little distance still. Terrible feeling that her feet was ready, was ready to run. She never thought she would have to deal with that. Still a little smile was on her face, a little hope that there were still good people in Sunberth where they didn't want to exploit anything or anyone.

A debt. S'Essy never felt anyone owes her any debt when she healed them. She did it for pleasure though, time has changed. She would appreciate a little help. "Thank you! I might need that sometime." She answered and nodded to him. She looked at the sea, little calmed down and tried to not be so overly suspicious, but it was hard. Only one person she could trust fully in here. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath.

Her head turned back at him. A company was never a bad thing and maybe not being alone was also not a bad thing for her. She waved with her hand towards forward. Gesturing him to join her with for a walk. "Shall we? You can tell me what happened." Little information. Might know where not to go or which people not to talk. She needed any little details about this city to survive, any.

[Baroque's Bay] Doctor Doctor.....HEAL ME!!! [S'Essy]

Postby Robinson Gilli on September 10th, 2014, 4:40 pm

She was an odd individual, that was what he felt all this time and the feeling only seemed to be intensifying. He contested himself whether he should indeed follow her, fearing that it may be just one giant ploy to lower his own guard... after all, why heal one you don't know and not ask for cash? At the same time he horribly doubted it, because she had used magic to heal him...'And Sunberth absolutely hates magic, even outsiders would know this tidbit of the city' Indeed, the more he thought about the more logical it felt and thus the more relaxed that he wasn't being led around on some trap.

He sighed slightly and nodded to the Konti woman, fact of the matter was he would feel unease if he were to let her wander about by herself after what she'd done for him and began to walk beside her, his eyes darting around in case there was any trouble..... which in truth was like walking through a field of grass and looking for the color green.

"I was on a job..." He stated simply as if that were to explain everything to her, if she were from Sunberth or another warrior perhaps she would have understood, if she had seen enough carnage in her life then she would have also understood. Though if it didn't he was always willing to explain more.

At the moment however he was more preoccupied in making sure that they weren't easy prey ' And unassuming people always did seem to look like such easy pray' He just hoped it made them poor pray as well....

She stopped when she looked back at him waiting for him. He didn't seem to be sure if he should he come or not. After a little pondering he finally decided that he joins her. Finally, she thought as she didn't think herself as a scary person. Sometimes it was beneficial but usually not. Although she had to admit this city wasn't friendly towards magic. Her healing could creep out most people. She didn't get why, but she gave up trying to find the answer for that question.

He gave a little sigh and the Konti looked at him as he was looking around. Was he also that paranoid too? Sunberth. But he finally was speaking... a little. She was staring at him for a few ticks, waiting for him to continue. But nothing, no word came out from him after that. "Aaaand?" She broke the silence which started to annoy her a little. Then gave another smile to him, calming herself down. "You aren't really talkative are you?" Obviously he wasn't

S'Essy was trying to think about something, what should she ask or rather talk about as he didn't seem to be comfortable to be in this situation. And though she would let him go, she hated to admit but she needed protection. "Hmm.." S'Essy turned her eyes toward Laviku's domain occasionally. What could they possible do or talk about. When she realized. "Oh hey! You have a name right? Everyone has a name. I'm S'Essy. What is your job? And perhaps you know a place where you would feel a bit more comfortable ?"

[Baroque's Bay] Doctor Doctor.....HEAL ME!!! [S'Essy]

Robinson simply shrugged, it was the best explanation he thought he could give! He was on a job and so he was stabbed, long and short of it. He shrugged again when she asked if he was untalkative, he didn’t see much trouble with it really, talking wasn’t his strong point after all ‘Not for a lack of trying’ the thought came as he walked with the Konti lass. He didn’t have much friends in this city and even when he was with them he mostly communicated through shrugs and gestures, he was a lot like a Drykas except even the Drykas where quite visual with their language which consisted of tons of gestures with the minimum amount of words.

When she asked introduced herself and asked him questions, he resorted to the quickest answers he could provide to the woman whom had so graciously saved his life “Robinson Gilli, Mercenary and not really no” He shrugged again, making his response sound like it was the best he could do. Still, he realized it wasn’t fair of him to do so especially since he’s currently acting as her body guard in this dog eats dog city.

“The only place I am quite comfortable in is the Wilderness or my tent…..and um….well I don’t think those are places you’d rather be escorted to by a man whom you know nothing about” After all, for all she knew Robin would lead her down an alley, enslave her and then sell her for all she’s worth…..not that he would do such a thing of course, it was just common sense!.

“And um….not really used to talking”

No he wasn't. All he did was shrugging. This annoyed the Konti a bit more. Why people wouldn't talk? Was she that scary? He also didn't feel comfortable, maybe because of her race. She didn't know but it was driving her mad. She gave a big sigh. She has to 'work' with what she had. Sometimes patients were also silent... mainly because they were sleeping or resting. But she liked to get know people and she wouldn't give up just now.

Finally he spoke and he admitted himself he wasn't really talkative. Robinson Gilli... a mercenary. Her eyebrows went up. "Merc... Merce... Mercenary? Bleeh.. Common have such odds. What is a Mercenary? She was thinking if she heard it before because it was a familiar word. She didn't remember though even if she did hear it once or twice. At least she knew his name now, Robin.

And the only place he felt comfortable was the Wilderness and his tent. That was a problem, though she couldn't blame though. Although she didn't want to go to the wilds and of course she didn't want to go to his tent. He was still a stranger to her. "No, definitely no." Not to mention she wouldn't feel comfortable enough to go with him to his tent, she was with Markus. She would never do that to her dearest person.

So she was with a person who didn't really talk, and doesn't know any place where they could go where he would feel comfortable. S'Essy was thinking hard what to do because the silence was awkward for her and made her feel bad. Like someone would come and harm her. "Well then I should do the talk... hmm." Nothing really came to her mind. "Want me to talk about my goddess or about healing or about my race? " These simple thoughts came to her mind, she didn't want anything personal.

Robin felt a little guilty about being unable to take her to a safer place, to be honest as long as he was acting as her impromptu body guard there was no place he’d be comfortable in taking her. Sunberth had absolutely no safe place especially for a Konti, the few safe places there were are usually controlled by the gangs or people with power and Robin was neither part of a powerful gang or knew such influential people. ‘ Where could I take her where there was the best possibility of protecting the Konti?’ He asked himself, but then had to be shaken free of his thoughts as he answered the Konti’s question.

“A mercenary…” He began as he motioned for the weaponry he carried “…be someone who fights or guards for money” A simple and straightforward answer. Whither she understood or not Robin didn’t quite know…. Though he had the feeling she did. The Konti it seemed was quite insistent that he be talkative just as she seemed to be, it was like asking a mountain to make way for the wind. Unfortunately for Robin, he was a human not a mountain and this wind was quite persistent.

He sighed for a bit as he scratched at the back of his head, he supposed that if he asked her one of the suggested questions this would allow him to think up a place where he could protect her proper, in truth the Konti was dressed for the purpose of being incognito which meant that any place he took her should be fine ‘its just that if they found out, opportunistic louts could come knocking’ And Robin was just one Human, granted he had an axe and a longbow but still…

“I suppose….who are your people?”

She still felt and saw how uncomfortable he felt. Maybe he simply felt uneasy because she was around and she could cause trouble. She didn't blame him though it wasn't that easy to spot her now. She was just shaking her head as she was following him. She was still not familiar with this city, she wasn't sure if she would be ever but who knew how much time she had to spend in here. She had to do her best and not go insane in the process, such as she wasn't use that much violence.

And a mercenary, fight or guard. So he was guarding her? For money? She didn't think so, he would already take away her money if yes. He could have done it easily. And his answer again was short and simple. No question, no details at all. Nothing. It was just what it is. Why should she bother? The situation was a bit awkward, but she tried... she tried the impossible probably but for the gods and goddesses, she had to make him babble. She didn't like this.

Though maybe he wasn't uncomfortable because her presence there would cause trouble, perhaps he was uncomfortable because she tried to make him talk and he didn't wish to. Though he didn't seem to also want to leave, paying his debt probably. She didn't want this to be boring, she could be bored at home. Indeed she had to do the talk and see where would it go. And he choose her race questions.

"So my race." She repeated as she was thinking where to start it. Probably the same way like with the Web. "So we are the children of Laviku, god of the sea and Avalis, the goddess of vision. We are all females, so we need mates from other races." She looked at him, curious about his reaction. It might be strange to others. "Most of our people live in Mura, island of ours. We are either born as Seers and Healers, because at birth either Avalis or her sister, Rak'keli the goddess of healing, marks us."
