Ricky had spent the day helping the Lieutenant he was under fill out a bit of paper work, mainly the routes some of the squad members beneath him were to patrol and their times in which they were to patrol them. It'd been the easy work that while tedious made Ricky glad he didn't have to go out into Zeltiva, because ever since the Ivysess incident that happened he really didn't want to go out and patrol again so soon. It wasn't because he feared that he may have made new enemies, quite the contrary he felt the opposite in fact. No... its because he still found himself questioning his duties which in turn led him to hold onto one thing, the one thing he'd been staring at this whole day as he thought he might make it finalized. His resignation.
Yet it just didn't feel right yet, for some reason he just wasn't ready to let it go. He needed more time to think about it, before he went through with this decision and started to make his own individual choices again. Everything he's done up to this point has been more so based on the fact he was a guard, a protector of the city that had to set an example for those he would recruit and train. Now he wasn't sure what he wanted, deep down he felt it best to quit and go back to his fisherman days, but at the same time he felt that now really wasn't the time to go about handing in such a form so soon. And then he suddenly learned why. One of the lower ranking guards stopped by requesting a moment of his time, and when he granted it freely he'd learned that Hannah had arrived to see him immediately. He wasn't sure what sort of crisis could occur but considering it was Hannah, he believed anything at this point had to be possible. Yet when he'd returned to the front office to meet with her, she'd brought Martin with him as Ricky learned the most disturbing news.
Telion had an accident.

With Martin left to be watched by his Godmother, Ricky had already sped off in the direction to the University. He didn't rest even when his lungs felt tired and his legs wobbly from so much running, but when he finally arrived to see which room she was admitted in the nurse brought him down the hall, already aware of how urgent Ricky wanted to see his wife. When they reached the room and she allowed him in Ricky entered to find that Telion rested on the bed, her back against the frame and the wall as she had been watching the outside world through her window. She had already had tears fallen down her face, and now that her husband had finally come to see her she definitely looked ready to break down. "Ricky... I..."
He didn't wait to hastily approach her and sit at the bedside, as he then leaned over to hold her close with great concern, as he'd feared the worst possible outcome might've happened and she'd been badly injured. Yet she looked fine at first, there was no bruises or injuries to see at first glance, yet even so that didn't stop Ricky from holding her close as both relief and worry developed in his core. "Dammit Tel, Oi feared de worst when Oi 'eard yew were 'ere." He finally drew back some but kept his arms locked around her, sincere eyes cast into her own as she still looked somberly at him. "What happened? What's wrong love?"
"I wanted to tell you... I was going to once I got better... but now..." She looked down at her belly area and brought her hand over it, a soft rub over the abdomen area as she then looked to Ricky once more. "I lost it Rick. I lost our baby."
Ricky's own heart dropped as well as his jaw did too, his own hand slowly hovered over to Telion's as he layered it onto her's. He sighed as he used his other hand to bring her head towards his, the two leaned in together with foreheads rested on one another as Telion started to sob once again.
