Day 10, Autumn, 514 AV
Location: The Foundation
Pain… It coursed throughout her body, her face was mostly black, blue and purple from her confrontation with the stranger. Her ribs hurt like all hell, but the one thing that had really torn at the woman, had been the loss of her right eye. She had been in and out of her unconscious state for a couple of days after the event and Redd had been sure that it was because of the simple fact that she had been in shock. Although she didn’t know how long that normally lasted, nor did it really matter to her if she hadn’t been. Perhaps it was just her body getting used to the absence of her missing right eye. Bandages had been wrapped around her head and they covered that eye socket so then it would heal relatively clean. She didn’t even remember much about the visit to The Healing Hand, for she had pretty much been out of it for the walk there and back. Arienette had laid her down upon her very own bed, but Redd didn’t want to be a burden, nor did she want to rest upon a bed that she felt was unnatural. So she had taken up residence within the room where it had all happened, of course she left whenever Miro needed the room, but whenever she could, she laid within it.
The other slave had told her that she was under strict instructions not to shift, to not use her wolf form, other-wise the healing process would take longer. How long, she didn’t really know, but at least she could spend longer hours being more awake. Her one eye had been staring at the spot by the door, the scene replaying over and over within her mind. The fresh pain as it stabbed its way throughout her body and every time that she reviewed it, the more that she set her heart upon the dark road of revenge. No longer did she cared if she couldn’t fit into the box that the people of Ravok wanted her to, for she was a wolf, a beast in their eyes. She had tried to be normal, but they kept slamming her differences into her face, so now she would be just as they described. From now on, she would stalk the streets, instead of keeping her head down and wishing that she could be just like them. For she now realized, that she never did want to be like them, fickle in their nature, promising one thing only to do another. Redd had had enough, from now on, unless it was her Master’s orders, she would not hide her face, she would stop pretending to be human.
A scoff fell upon her lips as she turned her gaze away from the spot that reminded her of the event so then she could stare up at the roof above her head, the man’s blue gaze clear within her mind. She would kill him, no she wouldn’t make him suffer like he had made her, for it would only allow him to come back and exact his own revenge. No, she would kill him and devour him, because she wanted to. It was the only thing that she would go against her Master to do, if it meant that she would taste the blood of the one that stole her eye. A soft growl fell across her lips as she slipped her legs off of the couch, a pained expression crossing her features as she twisted to place them upon the floor so then she could seat herself upon the couch. Redd had lived to simply please her Master, but now, she lived not only for revenge, but to hunt and kill. She would embrace the beast that she was and she would train herself to become a feared killer, but her first task was to heal and become accustom to her missing eye.
