that sucks so hard Katelyn but at least you have starbucks and a phone. I used to live in the country too, but I didn't use internet at all I just read and did a bunch of arts and crafts. Its a good thing you now live in the city because if you don't have internet at your house you are pretty much screwed. All we had was a small convenient store and later a burger joint. I actually remember when McDonalds was a rare treat my family would get every so often because the nearest one was a 20 minute drive. Now McDonald's is across the street but it revolts me. Although the one major upside was that my house was soooooo huge and now I live in a shoe box.

I am in total agreement with you on the matter of McDonalds. That place is trash but sometimes I subject myself to a sandwich if I'm desperate for something quick and cheap. When I lived with my parents I had a ton of space too. We lived in the woods and I had enough pasture for horses, and I went trail riding and hiking and fishing a lot on our pond. Now I live in a cruddy apartment building and haaaaate it! My bathroom has carpet for pete's sake. And don't get me started on my kitchen and oven...

The only good things are how close I am to work and campus.

I have lived in Big cities all my life.

I think I would crazy with the silence alone if I lived out in the country

I can't handle most fast food at all anymore, I think the only fast food thing I miss is poutine but I'm lactose intolerant. My favourite food is sushi (specifically if there are fish eggs and eel meat in it) I also really like butter chicken.

Carpet..in a washroom what the heck is up with that?

There wasn't always silence in the country most kids went out to play or do active things, in fact everyone's pretty friendly in the country. While I play a super extrovert character, I absolutely love being alone and was also petty into being alone as a kid. Not that I didn't also like going out side to, I just spent a lot of my time indoors.

I lived by a pretty active road out in the country but other than that it was fairly quiet. Several of my family members lived on properties connected to my parents' so there was that. Some kids were around (my cousins and nieces and nephews) but they weren't always out and about. It was pretty secluded and silent for the most part. I loved it. When I'm done with college I'm going to find a plot of acreage in the middle of nowhere and build a homestead so I can live off the land and as off the grid as possible.

Just swinging by to say hi to all of you. I've some catching up to do, but slowly I intend to bring back the reclusive Eanos into his shop and developing once more his interest in mage smithing.

Hope to see some of you around in the not too distant future, but can't quite see him jumping into any threads just yet!
