Not daring to risk grave danger by venturing beyond well troded trails to the beach. There would always be some risk but that would not disuade Lazuhly from the thrill of a personal adventure.

She hugged the coastline as sandals flip flopped across loose sands that radiated with the warmth of the suns cascading illumination.

She could smell the wafting odor of salt that lazily clung to the fresh air. And the cacaphony of squawking gulls and buzzards set the mood, while roaring waves rolled in thunderously clashing across the edge of the landscape with roaring vigor before gently absconding.

Lazuhly would set her agenda on a task and begin working on the project. As she opened her artists toolkit the wooden box creeked to life while deft fingers fidgeted around its innards in search of necessities.

She had some expensive paint, a flask of water and a wooden paint pallet with a few brushes. There was a look of disdainful contempt directed at one of the wooden tools as parchment and aisle were set in soft sand.

Lazuhly wanted to try something different, as she raised her hand she separated her fingers stretching them out. Taking a deep breath she calmed herself and began forcing the res through her fingertips and this clear gelatinous substance began to trickle out in a consistent manner until she formed three rather small intangible orbs. Exhaling through her nose she began to focus on her essence and forcing it to defy gravity as the trio slowly ascended into the air with swirling albeit hobbled whir.

Maintaining a serene karmic calm with the appropriate level of smug self assured satisfaction that took perhaps another mage to truly appreciate the sheer magnitude of her self absorbtion.

Busy being lost in a superiority complex the young reimancer managed to see herself out of her self inflicted predicament.

Baby blue eyes focused as snarky grin dissipated all the while she harnessed supernatural power and began the transmutation process of the hovering orbs that's size and scope could be described as a trinity of magical eggs.

Concentrating on the outer layers the res began to shift into liquid, at first it dribbled and tried to comply with the demands of gravity only to desist as the res core began eminating in power.

As this transpired the water stood in a pouring standstill as if stopped by the godess of time herself. Only to slurp itself back and reform it's original clustered shape.
Maintaining its grasp upon the newborn element in a djed draining form of channeling which required serious concentration to keep stable.

In rapid succession the others followed one after another in impetuous unnatural change.

The steps of transmutation bit into her arcane resovoir, but the miniscule size of her manipulations made it manageable perhaps for a short period.

Lazuhly could feel this strange sensation that wrapped itself around her exposed skin. It felt like exfoliation followed by an intense cool that burned her pours. She drank djed from her environment in an unfocused mode for a minor boost in her djed pool.

Retrieving some paints she selected a black, red and green. Each little water bubble would be given a smidgen to create orbs of those three chosen colors. Hand retrieved paint brush and gingerly dipped it into the hovering ebony ball.

A splash of darkness across the aisle, followed by squiggles with a circular center Lazuhly chose to make a focus in her glyph black and when it was completed she double dipped and went over her original lines.

Dunking the pastel covered brush into her flask to clean it, she gently swiveled the bobbling colores so that her next selection was facing her for easiest access.

A vibrant red

Crimson streaked across the tapestry, and added to the once previously perceived finished construct.

As time progressed Lazuhly began to notice errors and used the red to fix them and also establish a visual aid.

As a conscious effort for reviewing what had been done wrong an the first time and why it transpired. The color system scheme also gave some depth of clarity in differentiating the order of the multiple processes that were involved in even the most basic procedures in a glyphs structure.

Almost as quickly as it had started Lazuhly shuddered aghast in a muffled shiver as she was caught unawares of the accumulative cost of her trifiling as a stark icey chill obnoxiously stroked down her spine.

The trio of water balls lost manifestation and instantly dropped in unison splattering gobs of dyed water, across the sand as gravity was once again victorious.

The young mage feeling dizzy stepped backwards hands pushing outwards to help retain balance before allowing herself to plunk in the sand rump first.

She didn't feel right either but it wasn't sickness or light headedness that one would come to expect. It was a shallow sensation as if she had been hollowed out somehow and a piece of herself had been expelled.

Something felt missing but not in a physical sense, it was a curious affliction.

A harsh lesson well learned, mysticism was not a toy.

While he didn't fully intend to spend the amount of time he did out here the concentration definitely started to pay off, using meditative methods to calm his mind he had already found clarification he needed, and so with the feeling of being one with the waves and the sky he used this state of mind to his advantage to ease into the trial and error of his work. It had been a while since he'd attempted to do this but he had definitely started to develop a knack for it, and granted his reserves of Djed were growing with each trial he definitely wanted to further explore the possibilities this magnificent skill had to offer. Dressed in only the white vest he wore with the blue trousers to cover his waist and below, Ricky sat down almost up against a large rock as he felt the waves wash over his feet as well as the shore. His hands were held up towards him in fists for a chime before he felt the inner font of power within him resonate, inducing a flow of Djed in a direction outwards from his core and throughout his arms in one steady channel.

Nothing. No power on this plane o' existence can harm me. His thoughts traced around the idea of Reimancy and the forms it could take, the way Djed converted into Res and transmuted or attracted the elements with its magical properties. Foreign Djed cannot sway me shields, t'eir power will hold at bay the force o' power. Absorb it. He focused more on his hands as they opened to reveal his palms, Djed already at their surface as he started the next step of the art. Absorb any power d'at bodes ill harm. He charged for the shields to uphold as he manifested the Djed to the surface of his skin, within a few ticks small spots of royal blue started to grow as the Djed spread over his forearms and hands, while he channeled more Djed to their surface to weave the shield together. The goal had been speed but not without sufficiency, and shields tended to work best when they given time and dedication. His channel of Djed lessened as the shield came close to completion, his reserves only used up by little more than a quarter or so he felt at least. Good. Me time wit' speed is gettin' better, an' its almost wit'out cost t' effiency... almost. His shield didn't look patchy but it still felt rather thin, something that he'd have to work on a lot if he wanted to manage a fully covered body in a short period of time.

That had been another thought as of late, as he often wondered when and how it would be possible. A full body coverage in a short amount of time, surely such a thing had to be possible. Just out of his reach right now, until his limits were further expanded anyway. Feels like t'ey 're stronger fer sure. He admitted as he examined the sheen once more, he began to think that maybe he should poke around and see if he still had been alone, and then return to practicing the principles of it using more than just his arms. He of course didn't expect to find another poking around practicing the very discipline he'd charged his shields with blocking against, not until a turn around the boulder brought him around to see that this young woman had strained herself to much with Reimancy. Water Reimancy no less. The first element he'd practiced with as well, by far his natural and favorite save for a certain Para-Element. He hadn't learned how to properly use wind to control it just yet of course, therefore attempting ice was out of the question for the time being. While it would only take a bit of trial and error to familiarize himself with air, he more or less felt rather curious as to who this water user was. Thus he took it upon himself to approach her after she seemed safe, granted she'd taken to attempt to multitask by painting her own magic.

"Ah bold move yer makin' lass but not sure many would deem it wise." He remarked aloud as though he were to appear out of thin air, arms crossed as he stood with a shoulder lean into the rock next to him. "Magic ain't no pretty pet ye can will t' stay, especially when ye're expectin' t' use it like d'at. At least Oi wouldn't t'ink it so anyways." He reasoned as he decided she appeared safe enough for him to finally approach, he practically walked up to her with a friendly if not casual smile and lend a hand. Why not? It wasn't like he wasn't defenseless against her, if anything the shields would likely give warning of her intent, since their purpose was to absorb foreign Djed. He also had the upper advantage there, unless she knew more about shielding than she did of course... then he was screwed. Either way! While he had easily been able to weigh in his options, he gave the magic user the benefit of the doubt and offered to help her up, once she would be on her feet he would allow her the chance to explain herself however she chose.

Aghast

Lazuhly's face was filled with dreadful suprise as a man had materialized from thin air.

She was not keen on being at someone's mercy. The one two combination of physical and mental taxation had taken its toll.

As he stretched his arm out gesturing to take it, Lazuhly attempted in reciprocation but hesitation in trembling fingers fluttered to and fro until reaching a firm decision to abscond from his hand all together taking refuge on her lap.

Soft blue eyes swept off his visage and gazed upon the sky in defiance. While the tip of her nose held high in supercilous fashion.

With evident determination the scared little girl pulled herself from the sand onto her feet her legs quivering uncomfortably from exhaustion trying to hold herself up.
It was an absolute certainty that Lazuhly was distressed and aloof of what she perceived as a potentially dangerous stranger.

Words flowed from her lips as her legs continued with a stifling wobble.

~Thank you I am fiiiyyyyynnnnn! ~

The last phrase was cut short as legs finally buckled beneath her weight and Lazuhly came tumbling down in the strangers direction.

It seemed as though his approach had actually caught her off guard, granted he did probably show up just out of the blue unintentionally. Still he couldn't allow the chance for a situation to occur and that is why he took initiative, although it seemed rather questionable to had done so now that he saw her quivering on the sand. There appeared to be hesitance that met with the form of defiance at best, a radical if not bold move made to attempt with pulling herself on her own too feet without his help occurred next of course. Poor lil' lass, can hardly hold 'er self up. He noticed in silence as the friendly smile faded away, he pretty much held only a vacant expression that spelled blank while he watched. He felt bad really. Here she was thinking she had been all alone with a talent she probably kept secret, and then suddenly comes along a big bear of the sea to lecture her.

Truly he had to consider the fact that he came off rather brash, if not impulsive since that tended to be the better trait he displayed. He ran his fingers through the back of his hair, eyes averted to the side when she started to finally speak. "Well, if ye say-" Before the sentence could be finished of course his attention snapped back on the girl, her form tilted into a shift that suggested she'd been set on a course for the ground once again. Yet he had been in her path, therefore had the opportunity to stop fall. Out of pure instinct no less Ricky acted on a whim to recover the girls lost ground, his arms brought out as fast as he could to hold her up. If anything he managed to grapple underneath her biceps, his own strength put forward to crutch her for support once her fall had broken. "Geez! See what Oi meant lassie?! Take it t' far an' ye'll only strain yer self."

He remembered that she probably might still be nervous about him, even with the act of courtesy brought on, and he also remembered she could very easily be a danger if she'd lost her own control. So far she displayed no such symptoms though Overgiving had evident, which still warranted caution on his part now that she'd come so close to him. Still when his eyes faltered to her own he hardly presented any feelings of caution, but rather revealed concern within the intensity of their deep blue hues. Of course all his scars and marks would easily become noticeable now that she'd drawn closer than before, that is if her sight hadn't blurred from the exhaustion she'd experienced. "Ya feelin' okay? Need me t' help wit' anythin'?" The blank vacancy in his express changed and once more the friendly smile appeared, only just by a little since concern seemed to overtake all other forms of emotion first.

Eyes closed as her body tightened in preperation for a calamitous collision with the ground. Only to be snatched by quick witted courtesy as descent was ceased by strong arms.

As lashes opened lifting the veil over sapphire eyes that glistened with a starry glaze. Lazuhly was oozing this lovely serendipitous afterglow after being rescued, which warmed and melted the once stark expression.

Her mouth opened as if to give him a genuinely sincere verbal token of appreciation.

That was!
Until he had besmirched her with condescending rhetoric; Again!

The look of affectionate jubilation faded and sullied until her eyes were alight with new vigorous disdain and resentment. Revitalizing her previous intention only to replace it with a pompous little la di da.

~Humph~

Somewhere between the line Lazuhly forgot about fear and replaced it with slighted irritation from allowing herself to be beguiled. Leave it to a man to spoil a perfect heart felt moment.

Her flustered man hate subsided and boiling cerulean pools mellowed becoming tranquil. Tension and strain subsided and the resistance in her form was in complete compliance with firm but gentle hands.

Sometimes it is not what you say, but how you say it.
And sometimes it is not the words at all that matter but the delivery of there intended intention.
His was crystal clear, his concern for her spoke volumes of his character and allowed her to feel comfortable in submitting to his whim to help her.

It was then she felt a surge, as her skin although no longer leeching felt the presence of being submerged in djed and it was pure. She could feel it and her body tensed and relaxed as her heart thumped louder and louder. A swirl of anxiety followed by a lustful desire to indulge in a blissfully euphoric high. The practice of daunting refrain was easier said then done as it proved itself a tremendous burden as she was adrift metaphorically in a field of poppies.

The withdrawal pained her as she longed to tap her vein with djeds toxic kiss, and this discomfort was prevailing on her tender visage. Lazuhly was in a fight with her physical nature and it was in return hurting her.

~Just ergh a little, can you set me ergh back down?
I just ergh need to need ergh too need 2um, sum, some water~

He gave a reassuring smile and she returned the act with one of her own though pained.

For a moment she seemed to fallen into a sense of ease but that didn't last long entirely, as his innate sense of guardianship brought the better out of his mouth. More or less she took his own words of wisdom the other way than he originally intended, thus it sparked in her the sense of rebellion all women seemed to feel, that is after a guy goes out of his way to actually help her out only to same something accordingly 'stupid' the following moment. Then it appeared her act seemed to falter into a charade of its own, as the after effects still loomed when she started to buckle once more. She needed down to rest and needed water too, no doubt a secondary drawback from Overgiving with her magic.

Although they didn't seem to flare up or shimmer brightly, the sheen of magic covering Ricky's forearms started to tingle a bit. It was a radiating hum he sort of felt on the edge of his skin, which nearly startled him as he hadn't expected he'd felt such a thing. Could d'at mean she's fightin' de urge t' use 'er Djed? He wondered as he glanced between the two of them, it would've been bad if she'd come to such a state where she'd lost control. He had to think about a way to distract her and fast, yet there wasn't any way he could think of that would be helpful. Not as quick as he wanted it to be anyways, plus there still existed the issue that she remained unmovable for now. Well petch, ain't not'in else t' be done. He sighed with a change in his position, once he'd knelt down before her to help her on her knees of course.

He'd changed from his kneel to a comfortable spot where his bum rested on the sand, his hands used to bring hers together to form the shape of a cup. "Hold yer hand's 'ere, an' don't t'ink 'bout de urges t' cast at all. What's yer name? What makes ya happy? What d' ya do fer a livin'?" He interrogated with high hopes he would create a thought of distraction, while he hovered his right hand over both her left hands. There his Luminance Gnosis would be visible as it swirled, almost as though it were a living mark imbued on the surface of his flesh.

While she would answer he would channel the reserves of his Djed, mostly what had already been located around his hand, and pool it into a ball of Res that resided below the surface of his palm. "Relax," He would instruct her, "It's only water." While the ball was only the size of a pea he transmuted its outer layer into water, allowing the access to flow into her hands while he continued to transmute the outermost layer. He'd basically visualized it as an outlet where the channel of his Djed poured into the Res, where he would continuously convert just a small amount of it as Res, and in turn transmute the outer layer into water to work almost like a faucet. Once enough of the cool liquid filled her hands, he then returned the remaining Res back into his body, his eyes returned to her after he withdrew his hand to his side once more.
