This shining population center is considered the jewel of The Sylira Region. Home of the vast majority of Mizahar's population, Syliras is nestled in a quiet, sprawling valley on the shores of the Suvan Sea. [Lore]

New Lab and New People

Terag was aware they were making a deal, but it was harder for him as he was only used to denying someone haggling the price of a sword or dagger at The Ironworks, and besides he was too excited about the opportunity he might have been willing to give up too much to learn more. The excitement to learn something new was always something hard to resist for the Isur. During Clyde’s break, to allow Terag to talk, he tried to speak a bit fast to fill in all the information. His accent became thicker as he did, focusing a bit less on eliminating it and more on just saying the right words.

“My job has me working with metal primarily and so that is what I am best with, but I assure you all sorts of crafting are within my reach. I can make it, even if it takes me a couple of tries I will get it made. When it comes to learning something like this then I will not stop until I have learned it and make a product that I can be proud of.” He said this with as much conviction as he could. He noted that he did not specifically say that he had worked with anything else, in truth he had done little else than whittling in his spare time or etching a rock with his nail, but if it was something like this than he would learn.

“Yes, I am uninitiated into Glyphing and Auristics, and I apologize. I got caught up in the moment and the excitement, but I assure I will be nothing but honest from here on. Not if it will cost me the opportunity to learn. But I will be a more diligent student of these magics than you will find in this entire city.” As far as Terag was concerned this was true, he would devote every moment outside of The Ironworks to this if he had to. Besides, going to the tavern and drinking wasn’t the most fun he could have. Cutting back on that wouldn’t hurt.

Terag hesitated when he went to answer Clyde’s question about what other magics he might be aware of. He had heard tales of how some of the knights treat practitioners of reimancy. He couldn’t be in trouble for it though, he hadn’t used any of it within the castle walls. “There is one more magic that I have used before. Reimancy. I can only use earth!” He said the last sentence a bit quickly before continuing, “no fire or anything especially ‘scary’ yet. Not that it is a bad magic, just many people do not seemed disciplined enough to use it wisely.” He put extra emphasis on scary, though the meaning was more that he did not see it as a threat. With his family and clan, magic was just something that needed to be controlled and honed like the body.

He listened intently as Clyde listed off what he wanted from the man. Four items shouldn’t be hard, he thought. The bowl would be easy, and if he made it out of metal that he could get at The Ironworks then it would be sturdy even before he used his gnosis on it. The requirements for it wasn’t that bad either. The stone should be easy as well, there were plenty in the nearby forest and worst came to worse he could create one using reimancy, after having it inzentored he wouldn’t need to worry about it. The staff may be a bit difficult, so it would be one of the projects he put off till later, but he could buy some wood at the market or perhaps find a long branch in the woods. The dagger sounded like the easiest of all, despite being made of cold iron. That one he was excited for, perhaps he could even personalize it a bit and make it seem even better when he presented it. Once they were finished being listed Terag smiled a bit, perhaps getting started would be easier than he thought.

“Done, I will get them done as soon as I can and I will meet you here again. You will not be disappointed, I assure you.” He smiled again, he felt like he was a young boy again asking the local smiths to take him in and learn their craft again. He was excited, and ready to learn everything he could. “Thank you for your time, Clyde.” With that he made his way out the door, after he listened to whatever else Clyde had to say to him of course, and his head was already full of ideas and plans. This was only the beginning.
