Appearance: Firstly his hair, Draven has short black hair the color of ink, that reaches ear length. His hair seems to be stuck in a bedhead sort of style after a while of struggling to fix it; this hairstyle became the one he wakes up with and keeps it each and every morning.
The young man usually keeps a cheerful expression on his face making his face appear to be even more youthful than he is. A slight long nose, that is rather narrow, thin lips and slightly low ears give him a rather inviting look, as it’d be hard for him to intimidate anyone. He has an angled well defined jaw which is one of the few indications that he has in fact passed through puberty. On his lazier days stubble can be seen on his jawline and chin showing the capability to grow a rather impressive beard.
His body however seems to tell a bit of a different story, sturdy robust shoulders, slender yet defined arms and legs. He carries himself with his back always straightened and his arms slightly out to the sides. His frame shows that Draven can both receive and give back some punishment with the man standing at 6’0’’.

Character Concept
The first thing most come to notice about Draven is slouchy posture, not one to care about his appearance too much, this guy is still a little far from a slob. Friendly to a fault, uncaring of another's alignments and acts unless they affect his life greatly.

Thick-headed would be next, Draven once decided on a path is difficult to steer away. Impossible odds will not deter him, however needles and combing his hair will have him turn the other way in a frenzy. He's not quite a daredevil but should he believe in something he'll go through with it all the way. However while he looks and acts undeterred by nothing, Draven is the first to doubt himself; he's only driven forward by his own image of the person he wants to grow up to be. Fearless and powerful are two things he strives for and will fake his fearlessness quite easily even though he's still terrified by the dark and can't stand being alone. Making a brave face is his greatest skill.

However you can expect him to stick to his guts and the people he calls his friends regardless of what actions they might take. However he isn't fond of people who lie to him, as long as you're honest with Draven he will never judge anyone.

He's the type of person to treat everyone the same, humans, non-humans or even gods would be seen on the same level to Draven. Everyone is important to at least someone so treat them as such. Expanding on this, Draven doesn't worship any gods, nor does he feel compelled to in the coming future, his father did not do so once and Draven will not do so either. To return to the earlier point Draven treats everyone the same, casually. He'll talk to every person as if they're a friend and doesn't discriminate, not on purpose anyway some of the more bestial races will still put him on edge however not to a great extent. Once a person becomes his friend, he's trusting to a fault, unable to like them any less despite the wrong they might do to others, if it is one of his friends doing it Draven has little care.

This doesn't mean he's completely careless about the plights of others, it's the opposite in fact. Draven will do his best to protect those that he considers weak, in fact he's willing to risk his life if it can help others which leads back to his everyone is important to someone philosophy. The reason he can overlook this in regards to his friend's is due to the extreme way Draven deals with priorities, his friend's are prioritized far more than others to the point he doesn't consider the people on the receiving end of his friend's wrong doings at all, and if they were to do his friend's wrong then all of Draven's ire would fall on them. This also applies to those Draven considers trash, bandits, criminals, the worst of the worst he has no connections with nor would want to fall on a level even below that of a stranger and would do what he can to protect others from them...But on a normal day he'll be just as friendly with them as he would be with others. It can be argued that this is an effect of years of over giving having an effect on his mind which might only go more pronounced as time goes on.

Character History
Born and raised in Sylira, Draven is accustomed to life in a castle. Although his story begins 19 years prior to the current time. Born to two unknown parents, Draven not having met either isn't aware of them nor what happened to them either. He was found by a mercenary in the woods not to far from Syliras and quickly adopted by the same mercenary named Kerry McNiel who in Draven's eyes was his father. During his early years Draven and his father were together almost all of the time. Whenever his father would leave him to go on a quest or other form of job, the young child spent all his free time waiting for his father to come back.

However this changed when Draven stumbled into his dad performing magic, it didn't dent their relationship nor did it bring them closer... Draven merely wanted to be more like his father. He wished to follow in his footsteps and become as great as the young child saw his old man.

From the age of 5 till he reached ten Draven would beg his father to teach him the tiniest bit of magic, however the man refused and wouldn't even take the time to think about it... The risk was too great, he chose being a father over his pride as a magic user.

However, at some point Draven stopped asking his old man to teach him. Instead he picked up the sword and begun to train by himself. He begun by using a wooden long sword, and swinging that around during his free time. Whenever his father was around and up to it, he'd spend some time sparring with the man, just trying to get a hit in. Slowly practicing with a sword became Draven's daily routine and Kerry could see that there was nothing driving his son away from becoming a mercenary who would do nothing else but follow in his father's footsteps. Draven woke up, ate then went off to train himself rinse and repeat. He didn't hold natural talent, in fact you could say he was slow to learn but even so... He had determination. A hard headed boy who wouldn't budge an inch.

This discovery had the man change his mind, he sat his son down one time. Kerry talked with Draven on the risks of magic, what he could expect to face if he went down his path. Still he wouldn't budge, the reimancy initiation was carried out the same night. While Draven was out of commission for days to follow after that event, he was in bed with nothing but a smile plastered on his face.

When it came time to begin his magic training, Draven knew to be serious. There were large risks, and big problems he could run into. Res production came naturally as it did with most users but the control of his element was harder. There wasn't much thought involved on his part regarding the magic and more on how much closer to his father he could get. His father would take him out far from the city of Syliras to practice his Reimancy, the production of fire took long, his grasp of the element was weak for the longest time, only being able to make flickers and small wisps for a whole year.

Still the iron skulled child pushed through, not letting himself get slowed down a bit by his mood, he had an image he had to reach, a person he aimed to surpass. Over glorified perhaps, but it was this one child's driving force. He continued to go on for the next few years adding glyphing to his repertoire after having managed good enough control over his res production as well as fire production and movement. This gave him somewhat of a boost to his morality. The boy was 15 now, it wasn't long till his life was bound to change.

On the night of a full moon, Draven and Kerry sat together outside the castle walls. A cold winter night, neither were cold as they sat in front of the fire for hours. Looking up in silence, until morning came, and Draven went back to the castle alone, tears streaming down his eyes. Many years of damage had caused an early death, yet the boy didn't feel sad. The man had left him with so much, a drive, cared for him, raised him into the person he was today. If anyone were to ask him, Draven only had one parent.

Years later he's the same boy who aims to surpass his father. Wiser than before and just a little more skilled, Draven is ready for the world out there. Or so he thinks at least.

Additional Info: The adoptive father of Draven, and the boy's ideal as well as goal. A mercenary who stumbled into an abandoned baby, and was pushed by his lover at that time to adopt the child. After those two first years Kerry's lover Naya died, leaving him with Draven to raise and almost no ability to properly do so. Still he tried in the only way that he knew how, and messed up many a times. Not one to cuddle his child, he was harsh on him for both training as well as on a day to day basis. After his son reached the age of 8 he spent most of his time away on jobs and was rarely there to properly raise his son, just teaching him how to use money, buy food, and use public baths. Later on those teachings went on to his own skills, however his ability to teach his son was somewhat lacking, telling him about that skillset and then letting the kid run off to train on his own, only watching over him sparingly and rarely helping him out with it except for sparring which he himself enjoyed. In essence Kerry was a somewhat selfish father who tended to put his needs before his son which explains why Draven has no idea about Naya.

2. Describe yourself as others typically see you. I guess I might come across as loud and weird?
3. What is your favorite body feature? My hands!
4. How physically fit are you? I’m not too bad physically, training so much might have helped.
5. How do you typically dress and what is your style?Just drop on whatever I can find, it’s not like it makes a difference.

Family :
1. Who are your parents and what are they like? Never met my real parents, but my father was the best! He could take on any task with a smile, even the most dangerous battles were probably nothing to ‘im.
2. Do you have any brothers or sisters? None I know of.
3. What is your extended family like? Never met them...
4. Do you consider close friends as important or more/less important than family? I don’t usually think about things like that, but I guess each bond you have is different so comparing them doesn’t feel right.
5. Do you treat animals like family? I guess it depends on our bond.

Location :
1. Where were you born? Syliras I think, not too sure, my father found me in the woods though so maybe there?
2. Where do you live now? Syliras
3. If you could live anywhere in Mizahar where would that be? Don’t really know about these other places, but I guess living in a constant adventure would be nice, yeah I guess I’d like to travel the world someday.

Occupations :
1. What is your occupation? I’m a mercenary, doing only smaller jobs at the minute, but one day I’ll be as big as my old man!
2. Do you like/dislike your work? Why? I love it, it lets me be like my father, taking risks at times and then that relief you can feel when the day is done is the best.
3. If you could be anything you wanted to, what would you be? A top adventurer, discover the undiscovered, fight the unbeatable, and do the impossible that’s the kind of guy I wanna be.
4. What occupation do you admire the most? Why? I admire caretakers, healers, doctors, those caring kinda guys; it’s really easy to hurt others but to fix them up and take care of them is a whole other story.
5. What occupation do you least like? Why?Hm...Selfish magic based professions I guess, I feel like magic shouldn’t be used just for oneself but for others instead...Guess I’m kinda selfish as well huh.

Childhood :
1. What sort of child were you? I was that one kid who would never stay still, and when I did it was to cry.

3. What is your worst memory from childhood? 4. What sort of relationship did you have with your parents? I guess I was sorta like a leech to my old man, I’d just stick on him all the time and do what he did, really parasitic huh. He never seemed bothered by it though and just laughed about it.

5. What do you think of drugs and alcohol? Be specific. Been told to stay clear from drugs at all cost so I have, don’t really know much about them other than they are bad for the mind, Guess alcohol isn’t too bad, since my old man had it; still used to complain about it though.

Actions :
1. What is the worst and best thing you’ve ever done? I guess the worst thing I’ve done might be having to take lives, the best would be saving lives heh.
2. What is your greatest regret? My old man not being able to see me reach my full potential...Wish I coulda shown him my cool side at least once.
3. What is your best/worst memory? Best would be sparring against my old man, the worst would be getting inducted into Reimancy, still gives me nightmares sometimes.

5. What are you the most proud of doing in your life? Don’t have any real stand-out acts that’d make me that proud.

Emotions :
1. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings with others? I’m a pretty honest guy, so I don’t really hold back much, but I guess I’m a little too honest sometimes.
2. Do you have any biases or prejudices? Course I got some, but they’re more based towards other cities than races or cults. Guess Ravok is super evil, Riverfall’s got super badass warriors and not sure bout the rest.
3. What makes you happy? We’ll be here all day...Guess I’ll shorten it, training, spending time with some buddies, training, burning things, training, burning more things, and grabbing a drink once in awhile.
4. Who or what, if anything, would you die for? Hm, I woulda died for my old man, but he’s beat me to the punch. Guess if I made some really close friends I’d die for them, I wouldn’t be too against dying to protect anyone, though I’d rather live like most people.

Group Situations :
1. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? If I feel passionate about something than for sure, I’ll argue on and on.

3. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? I like it I guess, the more the merrier ey?
4. Do you care what others think of you? I do care quite a bit, I’d be more than happy if they thought I looked cool.
5. What do you think of others, in general? It depends on the person, I feel like someone’s word is the most important thing, so that’d affect what I think of them.

Self Image :

Beliefs :
1. What God or Goddess do you find most appealing, if any? Ah, I don’t really know much about them, except maybe Sylir, Tyveth and Yahal, though none of them really suit me if that makes sense?
2. Which God or Goddess do you fear, if any? Guess Ryhsol seems pretty scary, don’t really know any other “bad” gods.
3. Do you have any Gnosis Marks? If so, how did you receive them? None, don’t worship none of these gods.
4. What lengths would you go to to please your deity? I guess I’d go all the way if I made friends with one, though since there’s none I am friends with, not more than a step or two.
5. Where do you draw the line at pleasing your deity? What is too much? If I did worship a god, I’d stop way before I even hurt those I consider important, or mess up order in general.

Life & Death :
1. What do you absolutely live for? Becoming a fantastic mercenary, and exploring places that haven’t been touched before, as well as growing as a person I guess.
2. What is the best part of life? Meeting new people, and the chance to carve your memory into the world.
3. What is the best part of death? Guess it might be a like a big break, so eternal rest or whatever.
4. If you could choose, how would you want to die? In a blaze of glory? Maybe peacefully surrounded by those I love, not too sure never really thought about it.
5. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered for after your death?Having been the most manliest man ever, or that I always lived by my word, either one is fine.
