Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Mayas Apartment: Late Afternoon, 57th of Summer516av

Petch.

Tail had almost forgotten about his lack of height as he was walking towards the door that led out to the streets of Alvadas. He knew Maya was gone, or somewhere else that Tail didn't know of right now. All Tail wanted... was to get out of the house for a few Bells at the earliest. Is that such a crime? To want to get out... this isn't any way to treat a Pycon nonetheless, Tail would've probably forgotten about other people if he were human or some other race. Right... everyone could be forgetful at times, correct?

Tail paced.

He was pacing the width of the door, back and forth trying to think of a way to get out. It's not necessarily breaking and entering if Tail was just trying to leave. If Tail were taller, he'd be doing a lot more things than just Auristics. Curse it. Tail paused, he was directly within the middle of the door as he stood behind it, staring at the wooden object.

"By Harameus..." he said slowly. "Is there some sort of mouse hole or something that I can crawl through? I'm only three inches." He stared bluntly looking around for a way to get out. Tail let his focus course throughout the room. He waited for the Djed to sink into him, like a river, flowing on a slow day. He felt the sensation course through him. The fox waited as he observed around him.

Then, he heard squeaking. Mice sized squeaks. "Ha!" He chimed aloud. The Pycon knee just where it might be, the mouse of course. "If there is a mouse... perhaps I can find my way out?" He thought to himself. After a few aura checks, Tail spotted one that moved with speed. "There!" A gray mass of fur scurried under the table. Tail jumped and plopped against the door. "Yikes!" He croaked.

"Mouse..." Well in this case... it was. Tail breathed a little and witnessed the mouses' nose twitch and sniff. The mouse came closer to Tail, inching closer and closer. Tail focused on the mouse, attempting to read it's aura, it's feelings. Could Auristics even operate that way? Maybe... he should give it a try.

The colour of the aura glowed a faint orange, or was it yellow? Perhaps a hint of green, the mouse inched closer and soon it'll be sniffing Tail. Tail would run, but he wasn't ready to leave... he couldn't escape a mouse. Even if he tried.

"Nice mouse..." Croaked Tail pleadingly. "Leave me be and I'll purchase you some cheese. Honest." It didn't work. The rodent came closer and Tail could smell it's breath of rotten eggs. "Ugh..." He exclaimed harshly. "Got any mints..." He chided. The mouse snarled and pursed it's lips. Then it pounced at Tail. Tail dodged. The mouse went head first into the door. Tail started to run, but the mouses' tail whipped Tail against the floor. Tail moaned.

The mouse got back up on his paws and cantered over to Tail as Tail was slowly getting up himself. Suddenly, the mouse charges, it's teeth opened wide. It soft jaws Tail by grabbing onto his waist. Tail used his hands and tried hitting the mouses' face. "Let me go you fireball!" Choked Tail displeased with the way the mouse was carrying him.

Ha! There's a hole! Of course. Behind some cabinets. The mouse shuffled through the hole, and not bothering to be careful with Tail. The Pycon had knicked his head against the wood, "damned rodent." He cursed. The mouse squeaked and continued to run outside, avoiding people and whatever else was in it's way. Tail was out cold.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Tail awoke within a musty corner. It was odd dark. "Ugh... Petching rodents. Your lucky my body regrows." He groaned a bit. The Pycon wiped saliva off of his waist. "I bet i tasted good, when I'm made out of clay." Tail scoffed to no one. "Now where am I?" He thought. Looking around. It wasn't dark. Not yet, but he couldn't be so sure about that since Alvadas can play tricks on him, well, Ionu. He can.

Then out popped a mouse from a mouse hole from behind him, knocking Tail over ad the rodent walked over him. "The petch." He cursed angrily. "Do you have no idea who I am?" He asks the rodent. It sat on it's hind paws. "No of course you don't..." Tail scoffed getting up. He didn't know where he was, and he didn't know what this rodent wanted. What was he to do?

Tail went back to looking around his surroundings. He was outside. For sure, buildings from all sides of Tail as he got up. "Where am I?" He thought again. It was always the same thought, he wondered what he was going to do. "Ha!" He chimed, the mouse jumped back and snarled. Tail flinched and settled back a bit. His own tail swayed warning the mouse. "Watch it." He warned the rodent. Though, Tail didn't really know what he can do to a mouse. Of course, he can't really hurt it with his light hands. If only he had a weapon, or something sharp that he would be able to carry, Tail would be fine. Hopefully...

The only thing that Tail could read was a few holes. Tail wondered what this could mean, how long had this mouse been surviving here in Alvadas. Tail figured that he could wait for the mouse to sleep.

"Don't worry... I won't go anywhere." He chimed, the Pycon smiled. He would wait for the mouse to fall in it's slumber, and once it does... Tail could make his escape. All he has to do, is wait.

Finally.

It wasn't what he had hoped for... but, the mouse that kidnapped Tail eventually left. Tail smirked as it disappeared back through another hole. So Tail assumed that he shouldn't take that path. It was obvious, and the bite marks on his clay skin had disappeared, due to his molding form.

"Where to go?" Thought the Pycon. He knew that Tail would be trampled if he just took out on the streets. It would be more safe to just travel through one of the neighbouring mouse holes. Right? Maybe one of these mouse holes could lead back to Mayas house... perhaps, maybe. So many ifs. Just choose one. How hard can it be? Was this one of those illusions, did Ionu test him of his logic? Or was this some comeback to get back at Tail for not believing in his magic? Tail lowered himself into a sitting position, thinking. There wasn't any solution to this, not even Auristics could solve this puzzle. There has to be one simple path that would lead him anywhere, right? Thought Tail.

The Pycon sighs, he scans all that he can see carefully, he didn't want to miss a chance to escape. Plus, he didn't want to risk being discovered by another mouse. "Okay... It's time to actually choose." He said to himself in the usual low tone. "Lets take this left one." He said. Getting up and eying it carefully, it would've been simple to take the center hole, that's what most people would've done if they've managed to get stuck into a puzzle like this? Right..

Tail continued through the left hole. It instantly had gotten dark, and it smelled like mold. a hissing noise could be heard throughout the hall. "Spiders?" Tail croaked aloud. Then weird clicking noises erupted and those sounded closer than the hissing sound. Then it came. It was a spider and it looked dangerously vicious. "No! Get away!" Cried Tail as he scurried back from where he came from. He was outside, and as the wall closed behind him, so did the hissing and the clicking.

"Thank you Harameus," the Pycon breathed, as he watched the wall evaporate in front of him. "Perhaps ... I should take the center path." Ionu was so confusing. Why did something like this have to happen to him? Couldn't it happen to someone else? Couldn't he just appear as big like any other being in Mizahar? Or is it just him that's so small. What'll happen if he does take the center one? "It won't matter if I end up dead." Though... would Ionu know how to kill Pycons? Of course that's ridiculous, who would want to mess with Harameus' creations.

Tail sighed. "I'll just see what awaits me." He said basically muttering. Still glad that that mouse isn't back yet. He walks through.

It was dark.

Just as dark as it was the prior hole he had been through. Though there was this eerie tap tap tap noise that sounded through the empty, or seeming empty room. Tail wished he had the ability to see through the dark. It'll help him greatly. "Why does it always have to be so dark?" Tail muttered. All he was trying to do, was to see the rest of Alvadas. He wanted to visit the other buildings. He wanted to know more about this place, he wanted the experience. It was all he ever wanted, also, he needed a teacher. Not just any teacher, one that could teach him Auristics and other magics. He wanted to know it all. All of it, so that he wouldn't ever be underestimated. He needed that benefit of the doubt. He wasn't desperate, not yet anyhow. He just needed someone. One that won't hold back any secrets. One that Tail could trust.

Tail paused and stopped. His obsession over magic subsided. He walked to a dead end, he sighed. Knowing Auristics has some sort of sixth sense that could help him sort of see what's around him. Tail decided to take a few breaths and he started to sense that peculiar sensation, or feeling. Djed. It was the magic that flowed freely throughout Mizahar. It was foggy, hazy almost. It was like having a foggy haze drifting in his mind. It was a little confusing to spectate what was going on. Though, there was nothing, and that tap tap tap noise still echoed. Tails' ears perked up, like a dog's or a fox when they sense danger. Or when they want to hear what was going on. Though, this wasn't danger, well from what Tail guesses. He could be wrong.

Tail focused on his surroundings. He needed to know what was going on, he needed that clarification, he needed to see, to understand. It was all so complicating, and all of this complication was angering the Pycon. He needed to know, it was essential to him. Totally essential, it was essential to him because once he figures out where he was, he can either find a way out, or find a way to some other building. Tail took his right hand, he slowly pushed it inside his stomach, he made sure that his coin purse was still inside him.

It was. Mostly. Tail could use a cup of tea right about now. He takes out his hand. He sighed. "Perhaps I should go back?" He said aloud, starting to go back, the Djed was slowly leaving his body, but little tid bits still remained. As Tail was attempting to walk back to where he came from, the walls on all four sides of him, all started to enclose on him. Tail was starting to get panicky. A really dark room, with the walls closing in on him. What was he to do?

Tail paced in a circle. His breathing was already weighing him down almost. The air was getting thicker. Tail knew that he could breath fine, but he was really hyperventilating, fast breaths were taking over his capability to think. He needed to know what this game was. Was it even a game, what did Ionu have in mind for him? How will he be able to keep up with this activity? Was he supposed to trust this strange magic? Magic... was it really magic. "Stop!" Tail exclaimed aloud, his voice echoed around him, as the walls were coming closer. He could feel the air being pushed by the walls, he felt what little wind there was against his clay skin. He could feel it. Everything was silent. The wind, the sound of walls scraping against dirt. All of it, as if it were listening to Tail. Though, Tail knew why it didn't stop for him. Was Ionu listening? Or was it just some voice command technique. Was this just his imagination? He must have a large imagination if he wanted the walls to enclose and trap him. The walls were real, but them moving... it has to be deceiving him.

Tail pressed a hand, his palm facing the wall, it was facing out as he was pressing against the wall. There was a ripple, like a pebble bouncing against the water, just after someone would through it across a lake. Tail retreated his hand and inspected it in awe. Of course. Though, Tail couldn't believe it, he didn't believe what he was seeing. It was as if this was another form of magic. Was there a magic like this?

It confused Tail. There was so much things wandering in his mind that he wanted to ask about, so so much. He needed to know how Ionu played the game of Illusions. He should. It'll help him, Tail could use it to trick his dangers. Anyone or anything that'll come after him... if that's how Illusions can work. Tail contemplated on going through the wall. There were so much emotions contending. It was difficult to choose which emotion was going to win.

He was angered.

Angry, because he didn't like this sort of game. Angry because he felt that he was a pawn in this game. He didn't enjoy that feeling of being undermined and played like a fool. It was one thing that he disliked the most.

Confusion struck him next.

Confused, he was so confused he couldn't tell if he was standing on solid ground at the moment. He looked down, he sighed a sigh of relief.

Other emotions kicked in. He didn't know if Pycons could cry, but even if he tried, it wouldn't probably even happen. "By Harameus." He said slowly. "What am I to do?" The Pycon sighed and sat down. He decided to take a few moments to breath. It was all a hallucination by the likes of it. No... It was an illusion. It wasn't real. Not really. After a few chimes, he stood up and simply walked through the wall without any thought. What was to see outside of that wall, will come.

The wall seemed to morph itself into a very long strip. Candle lights hung on the sides of the walls. Tail stopped suddenly, he was in awe and wonder. He wanted to get out of here, not stay. It was activating, and the only route to take was to go forward for the most part. Tail sighed. "Petch." He called out. It was a low grunt that mixed in with his speaking. Back in Lhavit, Tail would know what to do, where to go. He rarely ventured outside of that city, until now. When he's decided to visit this confusing city of Alvadas. Was all of this confusion really worth it? Or was it just something else, something that Tail was yearning, and he just hasn't caught on with it yet

Tail moved forward. Slowly, and cautiously. The light flickered above him as Tail walked over the wooden planks. Surprisingly, there was enough room made up for him. Not even Auristics could assist him through this. Or so Tail figured. Of course, he's not always right.

Eventually, the Pycon made his way to a T-Section, it split up into two directions. One trailed to the left of Tail. The candle lights flickered faintly, like they were about to burn out nonetheless. It sort of freaked Tail out, but he figured he shouldn't follow that path. Darkness leads to trouble. The other one seemed welcoming, the path to his right. The lights were awake and well. Flickering with energy. But something eerie left the path amiss. Tail was contemplating which one to choose. Which one should he choose? How should he choose....

It was all so complicating.

Tail gulped a breath of fear down his throat. He sighed. Assuming that the path with light will allow him to see where he was going, assuming that that will be safe. Will it all be worth it? How will he manage his way back to Mayas house if he doesn't find a way out?

"As long as it won't kill me, I'll be fine." Tail muttered to himself. Perhaps Auristics could help him out? Maybe... That just could work, but will it? Tail sighed. The Djed was calling out to him, but the Pycon made sure to be careful with the use of magic. Though, if he was under a building... Would it matter anyways. Tail felt the awkward tinge that coursed through him as the Djed entered through his system. The Pycon inspected the auras of the candle lights. It was difficult. Just reading one. Tail peered closer, the candles were very high and perhaps just as tall. What Tail observed from the light, was that the wax that made up the candle, it wasn't melting. It was odd. Truly.

The auras around the candle, the one that Tail was depicting was faded. Colors of course were clear as day, but Tail couldn't decide what they were telling him. The Pycon kept walking. He'll inspect every candle stick on his way to whatever he finds.

Tail followed the lighted candlesticks all the way down the hall. He found himself within a square room. He didn't know what room, it was massive and it was obviously, perpendicular. Tail stepped farther into the seemingly empty room. Candles were still lit along the walls and were very bright. The Aurist allowed the Djed to seep out of his body as he wasn't to sure on what was needed to be done.

All of a sudden, a squared platform rises up, stairs following it. It almost looked like a pedestal on top. There was an item that laid on top of that pedestal. It looked like a small dagger of sorts and made out of gold. It gleamed thoughtfully and nearly blinded Tail. Though, he was sure that this was just an illusion. Each step the clay person made, the wall behind him shrunk and morphed back into the original square form.

He looked around.

There was nothing, he wasn't even sure if this was still an illusion. What was going on. All he had to do was just go with the flow. He came closer to the steps. They were small enough for him to climb, but they're were enough to appear ever lasting.

He inspected the dagger. It was something that looked like he would keep, just for himself, but he didn't even know how to use it. Plus, it was way bigger than he was so it wouldn't even make sense. He contemplated touching it. He was unsure what would happen. He avoided the punishment. He touched the hilt of the dagger as it was pointed at him. Nothing happened.

All of a sudden, the wall in front of Tail shifted and dust came dripping off of the wall as it morphed and changed into a widened arch, which revealed the inside of a building. The inside of this building looked similar. It was Maya's home. He smiled and thanked Ionu for taking him back home. Well, Maya's home, he was still glad that he wasn't trapped. He knows better now to distrust Ionu. He felt relieved nonetheless.

~Friendly Reminder~

Hi Tail, a few things before I can grade this thread.

First of all, I cannot see anywhere in your character sheet where you have accounted for your skills and/or lores. These need to be shown, please.

Also, you don't appear to have any lores? Not sure what that is about.

I have mentioned previously in PMs that you cannot use this thread as a job thread. Please edit the description of the thread to remove "Summer job thread".

After you have made these changes I will be able to grade this.
