Courtyard of the Sky
Market Day

The first market day of the season has arrived and the Courtyard of the Sky has transformed into a crowded yet organized mess of stalls and people. This market day has a theme, Avanthal! And because of this many Inarta buyers and sellers alike are sporting their finest furs as they think would be common practice in the city of ice. Many stalls have draped white cloth over their roofs making the entire place seem covered a fine layer of snow. Bards carrying flutes and gambas walk around the outskirts of the courtyard singing tales of the snowy north and its Goddess reign.

Most of the normal stalls are open today as the first market day of the season is often the largest. One Stop Food Shop with Chef Daviod is hosting a rare snowy treat courtesy of the water and air reminancers. Res created snow is mixed with colored sugar and piled in small cups made of hardened molasses so the cup can be eaten as well! Stop by to taste the different flavor varieties of snow Chef Daviod is offering.

Cherry (Red): 2sm a cup
Elderberry (Blue): 1sm a cup
Apple (Green): 5sm a cup
Peach (Orange): 6sm a cup
Plum (Purple): 2sm a cup
Recipe: 3gm

Some of the many fur merchants are sporting white furs in lue of Avanthal. A few claim the white rabbit and fox furs are from the upper Taldera, though their lies are rarely believed. Most fur traders just offer a cheaper version of white fur than what the Avanthal merchants are may be providing.

Rabbit (White): 2m a skin
Fox (White): 4sm a skin
Elk (White): 4sm a skin
Goat (White): 2sm a skin
Snowshoe Leopard (Grey & White): 6sm a skin
'Polar' Bear (White): 8sm a skin

Many glassblowers are selling snow related glass pieces such as dangling clear snowflakes, a work of art that is quickly becoming popular among children and the upper Castes. Stained Glass Hall is offering stained glass pieces depicting different Avanthal scenes, such as the colorful Vantha sitting and telling stories, one of the strange animals that frequent the northern reaches, or even the Goddess Morwen looking over her snowy city.

Snowflake (Tiny): 1gm
Snowflake (Small): 2gm
Snowflake (Medium): 3gm
Snowflake (Large): 5gm
Snowflake (Colored): Size price x2
Scene (Small): 1/2sq.ft. 1gm
Scene (Medium): 1sq.ft. 5gm
Scene (Large): 10sq.ft. 30gm
Scene (Huge): 30sq.ft. 50gm

But the most popular booth this day is the one straight from Avanthal. Four Inarta merchants who travelled to Avanthal last season have returned and with them brought amazing wares to sell to the public. The crowd around the booth is thick and one would have to push their way through to even see the goods being shown on the stall. The four merchants have huge smiling faces and are openly telling their customers tales of the northern city. Whether these stories are true or not is up to the listener.

Being sold at the stall there are three leather drawstring pouches filled with small pebbles painted different colors with a paint that glows as well as eight tiny jars filled with the paint. There are a variety of different furs, all white, from unique fauna that live near Avanthal and its gates. The most interesting items would be 4 cages holding 5 of the same bird. These birds are huge, with a wingspan of 12 feet. They are all white, including talons and are called Frost Hawks. Native to Avanthal these birds eat mostly fish or small land mammals, though can prey on animals as large as dogs or sheep. All unique animal product descriptions can be found here.

Glow Stones (10 stones, different colors):
1oz Red Glowing Paint: 4gm
1oz Blue Glowing Paint x2: 4gm
1oz Yellow Glowing Paint: 4gm
1oz Green Glowing Paint x2: 4gm
1oz Purple Glowing Paint: 4gm
1oz Orange Glowing Paint: 4gm
Talderan Snow Hare Fur: 1gm a pelt
Snow Fox Fur: 3gm a pelt
Snow Leopard Fur: 20gm a pelt
Talderan Sabretooth Fur: 40gm a pelt
Talderan Woolly Fur: 30gm a pelt
Frost Hawk (Male Adult) x2: 100gm
Frost Hawk (Male Chick) x3: 25gm

The cheery atmosphere is also accompanied by irritate yelling on the ridge of the Courtyard of the Sky. A few Godly Inarta have gathered and begun loudly praying and preaching Morwen. Winter is harsh in Wind Reach and it is not uncommon come Fall for the Inarta to begin praising Morwen more forcefully than before. A few of these preachers are handing out small pieces of white cloth with Morwens Gnosis mark symbol stitched on, that is if you spend a few chimes talking to them about the Gods.

Avanthal Market Day

Postby Azira on September 4th, 2016, 11:14 pm

How she had missed this. This was what she had so dearly missed during her time in Lhavit. It was reassuring to have the organised bustle that a Market Day brought. She hadn't liked the busyness of the Diamond of Kalea, the endless activity for no apparent reason, the lack of organisation; it had all driven her mad. Here, things had an order and you wouldn't find people moving around aimlessly. There were differences on this Market Day of course with the stalls sporting the wintry look of Avanthal but the huntress didn't mind. Regardless of the changes, she was surrounded by a sea of redheads who chattered in Nari and that was a true mark of home for her.

She paused at the edge of the Courtyard of the Sky, turning her face skywards to bathe in Syna's light, closing her eyes as she listened to tales of Morwen and felt the chill air caress her. The air told of the winter that would soon come when the Goddess herself came to grace them with her presence. It was some time off yet but it was merely the first hint, foretelling what the future held for them. The future held hardship and hunger but it was something to which she was accustomed. Azira was more than happy to suffer here rather than have the food aplenty that lay in Lhavit. That city held many wonderful things but it had failed to seduce her with its luxury and glamour. It had too much sky, the wind blew bitterly cold through its streets and they kept big bloody mountain goats rather than Wind Eagles. She was not sad to see the back of the Okomo and being carried home on one of the dire raptors had brought her close to tears.

Growing bored of the music and eager to see what delights the stalls held, the Avora pushed her way through the crowd, shoving the lower caste members roughly aside. She passed some Inarta who held cups of coloured slush which they seemed to be eating. Intrigued, the young woman followed the stream backwards until she found the source. A display of different coloured slush and many little cups fronted one stall and it seemed a popular attraction with many people working to take orders, deliver them and receive payment. There was a loosely formed queue and the huntress shoved her way around some Dek and poorly dressed Inarta, who she instantly identified as Chiet. One resisted being shoved aside and the girl released her wrath against him.

"Out of my way, you petching Chiet!" she snarled, backhanding the woman across the face. It made her knuckles sting fiercely but her contempt was clearly conveyed, the other bending and scraping as she made her apologies and backed away from the shorter Avora. She shrank away to somewhere behind her in the queue but Azira quickly dismissed any thoughts of her. That was more like it though. People showing proper respect to someone of her profession, being allowed to lash out at those lower than her and clearly being able to identify who her inferiors were, made her immensely happy. The caste system so stringently imposed on Mt. Skyinarta was another thing that had been missing in her life over the previous two seasons. What a relief it brought to her being able to hit and yell at people if she so desired without fear of reprisal. She had not enjoyed monitoring her behaviour and reeling her anger in because of the blasted Shinya. The bodies in front of her were either as well dressed as herself or wearing the richer and more decorative cloth of the Endal. The young woman was very careful not to bump into them, as much as she might resent them.

One day, that'll be me. One day, no one will be able to push me around simply because they feel like it, she thought, narrowing her eyes at the figure's back as she awaited her turn. The wait was not a long one as the operation was a smoothly run one and soon she found herself face to face with a smiling Inarta, who already exhibited some signs of weariness despite the fact it was still relatively early in the day.

"Hello! You can buy a cup of snow and have it put in one of these cups. There are different flavours depending on the colour and some are more expensive than others: blue is elderberry and is 1SM; red is cherry and purple is plum, both are 2SM; green is apple for 5SM and orange is peach for 6SM. You can get the recipe for yourself for 3 pinions and the cups are edible too," the saleswoman rattled off. The speech was well-practiced at this stage and it was short, snappy and to the point. "What can I get you?"

The huntress briefly considered purchasing the recipe as she found making things in a kitchen pleasant to this day, despite the fact her Yasihood and time of doing bendi were well over. However, she decided against it and settled for a choice based on colour as opposed to flavour: cherry. The appropriate coins changed hands and the girl left with her treat in hand as she went to explore what else the market had to offer today. She took a bite of the red snow as she weaved between stalls and found herself wincing from the cold, the chill sending shocks of pain through her teeth. Pressing her fingers to her aching incisors, she waited for the warm of the digits to pass into them as she looked dubiously at the bright slush that she held. When she tried the treat again, she was far more tentative in her approach as she scooped a small amount of it up between her lips and flicked it into her mouth with her tongue. The cool sweetness coated her tongue and she sucked appreciatively on the flavour. The more she had, the more she found that she liked it.

The huntress watched everything as she ate, peering at the contents of the stalls and the people around her as well. People-watching could be an entertaining past-time and she also hoped to see someone she knew. Such a thing was unlikely however, given that her friends were few and far between, and they seemed to be becoming an endangered species to boot. Perhaps she should try to make some new ones but the huntress didn't know how to go about it, or even how to come across as nice rather than confrontational. Maybe she could scout out some potential acquaintances here. Avora of course... Well, she was willing to make an exception perhaps, as Chiet could sometimes have hidden depths as Khara had demonstrated.

Avanthal Market Day

Wind Reach Market Day.

How Niccolo loved Market Day. These were the days where he probably spent the most; sometimes the only day in a season. Couldn't get rich if you were busy spending your money on every little thing, could you? And being rich was everything. To Niccolo, at least.

The Kelvic walked on fluidly through the market, easily making sure not one person touched him. His slate-grey Bryda he'd rather keep as clean as possible, and the sleeveless off-white shirt even cleaner. It was far too easy to get your belongings dirty while making your way through a crowd, and Niccolo didn't do dirty. Plus, the cleaner you looked, the more cautious the random Inarta acted around you, for fear of evoking the wrath of a possible superior. At least, he felt it was like that.

His hands he kept in his pocket, right hand holding a handful of pinions in his long-fingered fist. It was nowhere near all he had, but it was enough to hopefully get a small trinket or two.

His large, black-brown eyes scanned the few yet varied new stalls. It was an interesting theme this season, and he quickly decided he didn't really like it. Niccolo, a summer falcon, hated the cold with a ferociousness usually kept for the random Krric Troo who irked him to the highest degree. Seeing the snowflakes, cold scenes, and icy snack-things only made him shiver slightly, as if if the temperature had suddenly dropped in a tick.

He begrudgingly had to admit, though... Those snowflakes were quite pretty. His left hand left his pocket to reach up and finger the violet vial pendant hanging around his neck.Nearly as pretty as this... Looking at the various ones, his rather sharp eyes easily picked out a somewhat medium-sized violet snowflake on display, practically calling to him.

Niccolo stared at it for a few long seconds, stopping fully. His brows were slightly furrowed, and his expression fierce, as if he were hunting something or other. It was the usual expression when he was thinking deeply for even a tick, and it usually served to keep people from interrupting his thought process.

Granted, this one was small. It was a simple question he asked himself - "buy or not to buy". On one hand, it was pretty enough and it'd match his pendant.... On the other, it was a snowflake. Not a bad consequence, really... Why not? Gripping the pinions in his hand, he walked forward, stepping into the relatively medium-length line. He waited quite patiently, his eyes never blinking as he stared at the very snowflake he wanted.

Honestly, he was sort of freaking people out with the way he stared when his concentration was broken by a small scuffle a stall or so over. Some female rather small in stature had just hit another, taller woman. The victim quickly backed away, apologizing all the while.

Niccolo stared at the obviously higher Caste woman for a second longer before turning back to stare at the violet snowflake, the line having moved quite a bit more as he watched. He just nodded to the Inarta at the stall, pointing to the one snowflake he'd had his eye on and pulling out his handful of pinions. He counted them out as she told him the price, handing it off and accepting his medium-sized, violet snowflake.

He turned, staring at the rather lovely new trinket that he'd add to his collection of shiny things. He could perhaps loop it around his neck, too... Or hang it from a wall in his cave. As always, his stare was focused on the snowflake as he walked, completely unaware of everything else as he walked....

Until a misstep and an accidental shove from some red-head sent him bumping into the small, fierce Inarta he'd seen from earlier. He turned rather quickly, back to where he'd felt the shove from. His lips were set into a frown, and his brow furrowed even more as he stared each and every Inarta down as they walked past, looking for a guilty face as he cradled his fragile new piece... And completely ignoring the one he'd bumped into.

Avanthal Market Day

Postby Sira on September 11th, 2016, 1:32 am

Sira stretched, a good long and hard stretch. Her arms extended above her head, and her toes poked out beneath the blanket at the bottom of the bed. She stretched her toes too. It was a good stretch. No pain, no random pops or crackles. It was a very good stretch, and one that was well deserved.

The kelvic hopped out of bed and skipped over to her wardrobe. Her clothes were piled on the floor next to them. Wardrobes were inconvenient. The only time her clothes were ever in the wardrobe was when the dek who cleaned her rooms put them in there. But Sira didn't care about that. She picked her clothes out of the pile and pulled them on. Today she planned to do something she almost never did. She was going to enjoy her day off. Tomorrow, finally, after a long, long wait, she was finally back on full endal duty. Nearly a season of bed rest, followed by a season of light duty, but finally, the healer's had given her a clean bill of health. She had one day off, and tomorrow, she would be back where she belonged. But today, she had the day off, and she had some shopping to do.

Sira dressed and hurried through her aerie. It was a new one.. or well, and old one, or whatever. After her injury she decided she did not need the massive luxurious aerie that was designed for three wind eagles and three endal all to her self. It wasn't that her current aerie wasn't luxurious, just.. compared to other aeries, it was pretty plain. Just the basics, but that's what she asked for. It was the type of aerie that a brand new Endal would live in, but Sira didn't care. Besides, she planned to do some decorating at the market. She had no idea how to decorate, but an Avanthal theme for her aerie sounded interesting. So.. wait. Avanthal theme!

"Wait... do I have anything Avanthal themed?"

Sira returned to her pile of random things and started digging. Avanthal.. white? Snowy? Nope.. no.. she had red and black. Her saddle was white.. but that didn't help anything. She didn't have anything Vantha themed.. although.. Vantha had those colorful eyes, didn't they? Sira dug around some more and actually ended up finding what she was looking for in a drawer, probably right where it was supposed to be. It was the colorful tail feather of the Yanus she had faced years ago. The poisonous bird was deadly, but it was beautiful. She stuck the feather in her hair and stood to look at herself in the mirror.

"This will do perfectly. Everyone else is probably wearing white to match the snow, but I bet nobody thought to model their eyes."

With that, Sira was ready. She crossed her room to the living space, then out the front door. The room behind her was bare, save for a single couch and a chair, but that would change soon, and so would Sira. Or so she hoped.

---

Sira found herself in the market a short while later, looking at all the Avanthal themed Inarta milling about. Despite her earlier proclamation to herself, she did find herself a bit under dressed. Not that Sira typically minded being under dressed, clothing was usually more annoying than it was useful, but she did feel a little out of place. Luckily there were plenty of distractions, and when she overheard some Inarta talking about a particular sweet that was somehow made out of ice and, more importantly, had some sort of edible cup, Sira decided that was the distraction that she needed to focus her attention on.

"Where are these sweets anyway?"

The chiet she'd asked pointed her in the right direction and then quickly hurried away. Sira ignored the man, she was used to that sort of reaction. Lower castes were always scurrying away.. well, the chiet and dek anyway. Avora tended to have a little more backbone.

Sira made her way to the place that was supposed to have the edible cups, and arrived just in time to see a tall man she didn't recognize trip onto a woman she was very surprised she did recognize. Azira? They told me she left..

The man seemed to be looking around suspiciously, and was holding something. He seemed to be pointedly ignoring Azira, but was paying very close attention to anyone else who happened to be watching. Sira's hand fell to her... petch, she'd not bothered to bring her sword. Frowning, she stepped forward. Well, if he was going to steal from Azira, she'd do something about it, sword or not.

"You there! What's that you're holding? Give it back to her!"

Avanthal Market Day

Postby Azira on September 12th, 2016, 10:30 pm

The huntress worked her way through her flavoured snow, dipping her tongue further into the substance than she had previously as she grew brave in regard to the cold substance. Lhex most definitely wasn't smiling on her though as a tall man smacked into her, sending the already tipped molasses cup into her face. It collided with her nose, its freezing contents jammed up her nostrils upon impact. Spluttering and sneezing, Azira cleared the snow from her nose and cursed viciously as she turned her gaze on the man who'd knocked into her. Her eyes went up and up until she could glare at the face high above her. His height made her crankier as she wondered what sort of half-breed he was to have reached such ludicrous heights. Worse still, he didn't even have the courtesy to pay attention to her while she was trying to kill him with a look. He was dressed in bryda and a shirt so he wasn't a half-wit Dek but he seemed plenty slow to her as he gazed around him and clutched something to his chest protectively. Well, if he wasn't going to pay attention to her then she would damn well make him pay attention!

"Hey, you overgrown chick! What the petch do you mean smacking into me like that? Can you not see through the clouds from up there?" she snarled up at him, her voice reaching a high enough volume that several people glanced around to see if something interesting was happening. "What's wrong with you? Did you get flung out of the nest and land on your head? Bang you skull off a rock ceiling one too many times? Look at me and apologise you stupid petcher! I'm an Avora and I won't be disrespected like this," she bawled at him. The redhead lowered her eyes to his legs and drew back one of her own to send her foot flying towards his shin. If her words didn't make him take notice then a good hard kick certainly should.

The sound of a familiar voice had her head whipping around, unable to believe that it could really be Sira after all this time. Sure enough, it was the feisty Kelvic and the sight of her had Azira smiling crookedly despite the rage that had consumed her only moments before. It was by no means gone, merely pushed to one side for the nonce. "Sira! It really is you! I thought I was imagining things there for a tick, you know, because you hallucinate after you get a knock to the head!" she announced, specifically directing the last part at the man - boy rather, as he appeared to be on the young-ish side of manhood - to show that she hadn't in fact forgotten about him. She glanced the Endal's way to explain the situation in cool tones.

"This lanky streak of misery smacked into me and almost knocked this through my head," Azira explained, waving the now empty molasses cup as she spoke. "He hasn't taken anything from me except my rightful respect but whatever he's holding is apparently worth the ire of an Avora. Think he'll risk dealing with a pissed off Endal as well or do you think he'll be smart? Personally, I think he must be a bit on the stupid side and I've no idea why he isn't an idiot Dek!"

The young woman gathered saliva in her mouth and spat on the ground at his feet to illustrate her disgust.

Avanthal Market Day

Postby Niccolo on September 12th, 2016, 11:34 pm

Image
Niccolo was just about fixing to head on his way and make it back to his sleeping area, so as to not endanger his fragile snowflake longer in this Red Sea when some other person confronted him. His scowl deepened, eyebrows furrowing ever more as he looked to her. What was it now....

Him, stealing? He would've laughed.... If he wasn't nearly as pissed as Azira was. Nearly because man, was the short one really angry. He could've wondered day in and day out who'd clipped her feathers, if he cared. But all he wanted to do was get out of this situation that was quickly turning rancid and get on with his day, and hopefully forget all about this little episode. Perhaps even buy one of the cones he'd accidentally caused to go up the woman's nose-holes; they looked tasty, when not covered in boogers.

Either way, he was on his way to telling the newcomer that he had not, in fact, stolen a thing, pushing the feisty one's voice to the back of his mind (for a tick), when her kick connected painfully to his shin. Well, that was obviously a bad idea, if the yelp of pain and small hop was any indication. He quickly turned, rounding on her and glaring as fierce as a bird of prey would. If she hadn't revealed she was an Avora, and there weren't two females, he might've attempted returning her insults and anger. Even if that was nearly suicide.

He clenched his jaw, letting a breath from his nose as he attempted to quell himself. It worked partially; he looked slightly less strung from before, though the thought of apologizing for something that wasn't in the least his fault still colored him vexed. I apologize for the idiot that shoved me, it is not a Yasi's fault he or she endangered the object worth an Avora's ire.

Finding his mind too whirling with insults to combat the woman's, he promptly shut his mouth again, clenching his jaw and biting his tongue. Today, nor ever, really, was a good day to infuriate both an Endal and an Avora, who were definitely too high in the caste to do much about. For now, anyway.

Bowing his head to keep himself from being verbally abused even more for his glare, he kept his eyes on the ground, before a small retort burst from his lips, as if a reflex from the insulting spit. He looked up at her briefly with a face contorted with pure disgust before he turned his head away somewhat. The clouds are too lovely to look down at those crawling on the earth, you should try flying once. I'm sure leaping from the mountain will suffice for one such as yourself - spitting enough might create a lake large enough to save your ar-- to save you.

He immediately regretted it, as was evident by the grunt, tilting of his head, and closing of his eyes, as if he were trying to brace himself for what might soon come. He shifted restlessly on his feet, exhaling through his nose. If that is all you need from me, I'll remove myself from your superior presences. The word superior was spat almost as bad as when the Avora literally spit, dripping in sarcasm and edged.

Looking back up, he regarded the women coldly, his face set and emotionless as he waited.

Avanthal Market Day

Postby Sira on September 13th, 2016, 12:08 am

The smile that came over Azira's face when she noticed Sira would have stopped her in her tracks, if she hadn't already been stopped in her tracks and accusing someone of theft. She would have said something, but the thief, or.. not thief, started yelling back. That was surprising too, chiet didn't do that. It would have also stopped Sira in her tracks.. but only long enough for her to reach for her sword, which she didn't have. That was probably a good thing for the "not thief." Things probably would have gone a lot differently.

Yasi, she thought. He's a little big for a Yasi. He's.. he's fully grown. He could only be a Yasi if..

Sira's mind was still moving a little slowly with all the track stopping surprises, otherwise she would have worked it out faster. But then "Not Thief" said something that completely distracted her, though if she was a calmer person she would have realized that his words made perfect sense considering the line of thought she was following just a moment ago.

"What the petch do you know," Sira said, stepping forward suddenly, "About flying?"

Her golden eyes locked with his, staring with an intensity that only a bird of prey could muster. Usually people backed down from that, or were at least unnerved. She didn't notice that he had the same gaze.

"What Wind Eagle would take a clumsy oaf like you into the sky? I know I wouldn't. You'd probably fall off the saddle before we even got ten feet in the air. Azira has seen more of the sky than you ever will!"

Avanthal Market Day

Postby Azira on September 16th, 2016, 3:34 pm

She didn't succeed in toppling the giant but Azira still gained pleasure in watching him hop on the spot. It was a bittersweet victory as otherwise nothing she'd thrown at him verbally had managed to make a dent in him. He wasn't properly intimidated, he wasn't affected in any way, it was almost like she was too insignificant to be worth his notice. It took away the delight the huntress should have felt at scoring the hit.The bastard. She scowled at him through his apology, which sounded completely insincere to her, and her eyebrows almost shot up under the shock of short, red hair that hung down on her forehead. This huge young man was a Yasi? Azira found that hard to believe but who would claim to be a Yasi if they weren't one? Also she wasn't sure that she believed him about being pushed by someone else and regardless of what had happened or how, an apology was the least expected of him.

Azira gazed at him critically, wondering how a Yasi could have been allowed to grow up with such disrespect for the caste system. She could admit to having a fair bit of cheek to her superiors but she'd risen through the caste system so that there weren't that many above her. Plus, she was clever enough not to test most Endal. She had openly mocked Turrin and gone against him but then he had been an odd foreigner who hadn't grown up in the system and willing to allow her away with it. When she'd been young, she'd been respectful though but yet this... youth - she had a hard time calling him a youth because he didn't look it - had somehow missed out on that portion of his education.

When he came out with his next disrespectful statement, the huntress narrowed her eyes at him, her jaw setting angrily as he issued each word. Wow, now that really had crossed the line. She found herself so furious that she didn't even know what she wanted to do to him. Her hand went to her belt, pulling the hunting knife from its sheath to wave at him, ready to offer him a visible reminder so he'd remember to mind his tongue in future but Sira reacted first. Furious as she was herself, she didn't want Sira fighting on her behalf. The young woman was able to regain enough of her reason to turn to the other in an attempt to calm her down.

"Sira, he isn't worth your anger. I know you do not like flight mentioned so casually but what he needs is a sharp reminder about respect," she commented, raising the knife that she held in her hand and brandishing it casually in the Yasi's direction. "Now what is it that they think you'll be so I can decide what I should cut off. A finger? Part of a finger? The tip of your nose? What? It's that or Sira will probably rip you to pieces," she remarked coolly, looking at him with questioning eyes that were devoid of sympathy.

Avanthal Market Day

Postby Emergence on October 7th, 2016, 1:33 am

The market was an extremely crowded place, especially when such an interesting theme was present. Because of this the situation between the Avora, Endal and Yasi was quickly noticed by all Castes around them. People enjoying their day off turned their heads to the fight, noticing the physical jabs and extraordinarily rude remarks coming from a lower class citizen. Immediately opinions were formed by all. Dek quickly scurried away from the scene, desperately hoping not to be caught in the middle or called upon for action. Other Yasi shied away from their fellow pupil, aware of his actions and the consequences that may come with it. Some Chiet stayed around, interested and peering into the fold, wondering how this would play out. While Avora and Endal alike got enraged - or amused - at the Yasi's comments and attitude.

A couple of jeers resonated from the crowd, "Kick 'im where it hurts Azira!" and "Tear the kid apart Sira!" from higher Caste citizens enjoying the oddity. Most Inarta gave the scene some space to play out, while some of the more offended people stepped closer, still deciding how to react. Yet no matter how the Avora or Endal battered the tall Kelvic boy, he did not back down. His tone became more condescending and his words even more stabbing. Awe poured from many faces and anger reddened the eyes of others.

It wasn't long before someone reacted in favor of the Eagle and Huntress. A large male Endal stepped into the small group, puncturing the bubble of the situation. He yelled while grabbing the boy by the back of his shirt. The Endal was much shorter than the bird Kelvic, but he was larger and denser than the Yasi would ever be. "Who the petch do ya think ya are, boy?" He pulled on the shirt, forcing Niccolo down to his level where the Endal readjusted his grip onto the back of the Kelvics neck. He spat words in his face, fuming with rage. "Understand your place son! Sira and Azira are your superiors bird! You. Are. Nothing."

With this man's action, other sprang as well. A elder Avora stepped up next to Azira, glaring at the insulting boy, he spat at his shoes. A small female Endal stood next to Sira, jabbing her finger at Niccolo, yelling obscenities. The crowd closed in on the popped bubble, suffocating in on the Yasi. Most were Avora and Endal as any lower class had shrunk away as quickly as possible at this point. A couple citizens kicked or slapped at the boy, but otherwise kept their hands to themselves. Yasi were lower class, yes, but they were still somewhat protected.

A taller, for an Inarta at least, Endal pushed his way through the crowd not long after the first grabbed teh boys shirt. He put his hand on the dense mans shoulder and said, "This is a job for the Valintar, Hardil, let me take the boy to him." Hardil looked up at him and nodded, releasing the Kelvic Yasi from his grip and into the hold of the other Endal. The newcomer put his hand on the back of the boy and ordered the crowd to make a hole. Instantly all Avora moved aside while a few Endal lingered but soon pushed themselves to the edge. Niccolo was then lead out of the marketplace and to the Valintar's office for his punishment.
