"The youngest of Eroberns really liked spring."
Spring 1, 517 AV

No time passed and spring was already here, bringing both joy and problems to the people of Syliras. As the snow melted and green of nature slowly made its comeback, this was also a perfect time for all manners of illnesses to attack ones health. This was also the time, when people were both thinner on food or gold, but needs in the same time sky rocket as per the season.

Annabel, though, wasn't complaining personally, as the last time she caught even a cold was ten, eleven years ago. You can even say it was a way for her to balance out the constant injuries the girl got on herself almost daily. For her spring was more the season of energy, life and endless activity. Everyone had just "woken" from their half-asleep winter state and were bustling to prepare for the upcoming season. Were it the farmers, who needed to prepare the fields or hunters, who now had easier time hunting. The youngest of Erobern's really liked spring.

And, as mentioned before about everyone being busy, the girl too had her hands full at the Elegant Weave. The citizens of Syliras were dire need of new clothing as every spring and it actually helped the business, that it was so hot, as many wealthy ladies hurried to change their winters wardrobe to something more fitting for the weather. For her it meant active rushing around both the workspace to help produce the orders and behind the counter to assist the customers. It was tiring, yes, but in the same time she felt quite joyful being so busy.

Today it was again the girls turn to work as sales assistant. The shop was quite full and she had already managed to help several younger ladies with their purchases. It would be lying, if Anna would say, that the heat wasn't getting to her, but the quick brakes now and then helped to keep her cool and fresh. For the particular day the young lady was wearing a simple cotton dress and a black corset. This outfit seemed simple, but nicely showed off her fully developed curves and large breasts. Something every girl would feel proud of, even if being taller, then most of the male population in the city. Well, you can't have everything, as they said!

Samuel strode through the streets, a distracted smile on his face. Spring had been Danny's favourite time of the year and Samuel always welcomed the new year with hope that it would be better than the one before. The knight was reminiscing, mostly bitter-sweet memories of previous new year celebrations. Since Danny's death Samuel hadn't really enjoyed the frivolity of it all, but he treasured the memories from the celebrations of the last day of winter that he'd enjoyed with his best friend.

At the end of the year 511AV the two had been at the Rearing Stallion until it closed. Samuel's smile widened as he thought of how drunk they had both been. As far as he remembered, the music had been excellent and there had been dancing and singing till the early hours of the morning. The scarred knight teared up a little, dwelling for too long on the past could be painful. Wiping his eyes, the knight stopped outside a shop and rested against the wall.

Once Samuel had wrested his emotions back into line he looked at the sign above his head. It was the Elegant Weave. The knight looked down at his simple clothes, he couldn't remember the last time he had bought new clothes. Most of the time he would be wearing armour over the top, so no one really noticed. It might be nice to get something new though. Making up his mind, the knight pushed the door open and headed inside.

The shop was pretty busy, but Samuel squeezed though and started to look at the men's clothing. There were so many different materials and colours, he was a little overwhelmed. Not really sure what he wanted, the knight picked up a pair of trousers. He recognised the material, they were leather, but from his time in leather armour he knew they wouldn't be the best for the warm weather that it seemed was approaching. If the warm winter was any indication, the spring could be sweltering. Putting the pair back, Samuel started looking for something better suited to his needs..

"Samuel started looking for something better suited to his needs.."
Spring 1, 517 AV

At the moment Annabel thought she could take a break, glass of water almost touching her lips, the girls eyes caught sight of a male customer looking through merchandise, but not looking at the same time. She had seen this expression many times on customers faces, when they know why they came here, but once they arrived, the pure creature had understood that it won't be as easy, as they had expected.
"Girls work will never be done!" With that in her mind, Anna took a quick sip of already warm water and went to serve the beefy-looking male.

"Good day Sir! Thanks for coming to Elegant Weave! Can I offer you any assistance?" The girls voice was sparkling, only not if a bit too energetic. Maybe a bit forced. The red hair had a friendly, but polite smile on her lips. Both hands were put together in front of her and back slightly bent to at least a bit even the height difference she and he possessed. At this point of the day Annabel had started to get sick of all these shorter people and the girls back was slightly aching.

Her eyes quickly ran through the males appearance. Definitely he wasn't even closely as young,
as Anna, but she wouldn't also call the guy old. He was clean and looked well fed, so she hoped the man is actually a paying customer. His clothes though, was something that made the girl mentally click her tongue. They didn't seem dirty or anything, but really simple and probably used for some time. Maybe even longer then should. This little detail made the youngest of Eroberns think that probably she can't hope on large purchase, but who knows? Maybe he got robbed or something and he is just...But no, those were really thoughts for off-work time and definitely just fantasies. The girls mind still lives in fairy-tales time to time.

The spacing out took just few seconds and Anna was back from her thoughts. Again with her sweet smile Anna spoke after quickly glancing to the shelves next to them.
"I would more then be happy to help you, what you are looking for, even if you only have a general idea." The young seamstress really hoped he had something more then a general idea.
It would be awkward, if she couldn't help in the end and the girl would be forced to call one of her colleagues. Suddenly someone, a well dressed lady, bumped hard into Anna, making her almost fall on the bearded man. Thanks to the divines, thought, she was able to regain her balance and not make fool out of herself. The lady on the other hand just angrily glared at Anna, made sure that her dress is alright and walked to another of Elegant Weaves employees, muttering something about "cow feets" and "girls these days". Annabels face expression for a moment turned into one wanting to punch something and she got a sudden, almost unresistable, urge to make that dress go up in flames. The girl, though, managed to pull herself together quickly turn back to the customer, hoping he hasn't ran of anywhere. The red head moved her hair out the way o her ace and awkwardly smiled,
"I apologize for that! I'm a bit clumsy sometimes." She took just another quick glance back,
considering the option just a second more, before returning all her attention to the man.
She needed this job still. Plus...It is as hot, as it is already.

Samuel turned from the merchandise as the red haired woman spoke, pausing slightly as he took in her height. The knight was taller than most people he knew, but the assistant towered over him like he towered over Yukmen. Samuel tried to cover up his shock with a smile and a small nod. It seemed like she was genuinely interested in helping, so the knight decided he would take her up on her offer. He wouldn't have to waste any time if she could help him find what he was looking for.

“Aye, that would be nice.” Samuel agreed. He thought about exactly what he needed. There were a few things that were important, so he did his best to communicate that to the young woman. “I'm looking for something light for this hot weather. It also needs to be made of a strong material, I don't want it falling it apart as soon as it gets put under any stress. Does that make sense?”

Samuel caught the woman's arm as she fell, helping her rebalance herself. Once she had her footing, he let her go, and glanced up at her. The look of pure rage that crossed her face did not escape his notice, but the glare was quickly replaced by an embarrassed smile. The knight considered talking to the rude lady, but decided against it as it would probably cause trouble for the assistant.

“No harm done,” he said, smiling reassuringly. “Certainly no need to apologise for things that aren't your fault.” With these words he glanced pointedly at the woman who had barged by, grinning mischievously. Then he gestured back at the selection of clothes. “What would you suggest?”

Samuel took advantage of the lull in conversation to observe the young woman. She was fairly young, possibly a similar age to Al or Garland. The knight couldn't help but notice the multitude of burns that covered her arms. He wondered how she could have so many, he didn't think he'd ever seen so many burns on a single person. He decided he would try to find out, but wasn't sure what the best way to get the answer to his question would be. So he decided just to ask the young woman outright.

“How did you get so many burns on your arms lass?”
