It was midday and the Seaside Market was bustling with activity and commerce as people peddled goods and services from their shops, stalls, and in the middle of the street itself. It was busy and crowded but that didn't bother Vasin very much. Sure, it was a pick pocket's dream here but it wasn't like he kept his valuables in an easy to grab a place. Plus he knew the usual tricks, or at least he thought he knew. Bumping into someone to distract them from the lifting of your belongings and other classic examples. But luckily for him, Vasin didn't come with money as he had stopped living out of that tent. It was nice not having to worry so much about nimble hands taking his stuff. Rather he was here to collect money as he approached a shop he had singled out from the lot."Yep, this is the place." he commented after reading the sign. Nice place, well kept and all that. The only problem for this general store was the fact that they were late on payments to Goldfinger. They had usually been really good about making payments in the past so it was kind of odd.
Vasin stepped through the door curiously glancing around as he did so. Coming over the thresh-hold he browsed the wares the place had. He didn't go straight to the counter where he could see the store owner as they were currently busy dealing with a customer. No need to drag some random person into this business. He heard footsteps and glanced over to see the customer leaving."Can I help you?" the shopkeep asked curious about the armored man in his shop."Good question." Vasin replied as he turned to face them taking a few steps over to the counter."You are late on payments to Goldfinger." Vasin said placing a hand on the counter."Oh, I am? I'm sorry. Let me just get the money. It slipped my mind. I've been so busy lately." the shop owner said reaching down. What was he going to do? Vasin thought about it for a moment? Maybe throw something at him? Escape through the back?
No, he produced a coin purse and then placed it on the counter."Send Goldfinger my apologies." the shop owner said with a fake smile."Good, and I will. He appreciates it more when people pay on time." Vasin warned as he grabbed the coin purse/pouch. Weighing it for a moment he gave a nod before turning and heading for the exit."Well, that went a lot easier than usual." he said as he looked at the coin pouch in his hand as he exited the store. If only all of his outing could go so smoothly.
