The warm wind at his back, the sun rising over the horizon, and morning dew covered grass beneath his feet Vasin was making his way east. The Denvali Quarter to his back and the forest to his front as shadows began to pass over him. Trunks of trees beside him along with his always helpful Mule, Tack. Leading them he looked up through the trees and could see the rising mountains to his immediate north, the sun illuminating them and casting shadows down below. It was beautiful here, even this close to the city just outside of it. Then directly to his south, he could see it, the beach and ocean as the waves lapped against these scenic shores. 'This place truly has a different feel to it...' Vasin thought to himself as he continued walking with Tack. He had decided to make a day out of exploring the area to the east. The idea came to him the very moment Zeltiva came into view for him. Those mountains stretched all the way around Zeltiva, he was curious if they came to the beach itself.
He had been told that there was only one true pass through the mountains in Zeltiva, and that was to the north of the city connecting it to that road created by the Knights. But perhaps there was the possibility that hugging the shore could get you around? Or maybe a path yet unseen? He wasn't entirely sure, and plus he had heard Zeltiva was a city of explorers the moment he had arrived. It was still worth a look he figured as he walked along the forest edge and the edge of the beach. But he was noticing a gradual change... in both that the area became gradually rockier and the incline increased. 'Ah, that must be it then.' he thought to himself knowing that meant that eventually, it would increase to the point of being un-passable. Or so he was thinking until he became distracted. Tack was the first one to notice, their ears pointing towards the beach ahead and staring in that direction. Vasin sniffed it out next, the smell of smoke.
Peering up ahead through the trees and up the beach he saw smoke rising, a bonfire had been lit up ahead. With some caution, Vasin decided to approach, curious as to who was out here. So far yet so close to the city he came from the forest onto the beach and approached the fire. There was a ship parked on the beach, one look and it looked rather familiar. 'A Casinor?' he thought as he rested his hand against the handle of his blade. That meant one thing, a Svefra or a group of them were on the beach. Glancing over his shoulder to be sure no one was sneaking up on him he approached the beach campsite. Lying face up on the beach arms behind their head was a Svefra man. Perhaps in his thirties? His skin had a healthy tan and he was well toned. All he wore were tattered pants which were tattered and bright blue. His hair dirty blonde and unkempt he seemed to glance over to Vasin his piercing blue eyes meeting his own. Vasin stood there for a moment in silence, their eyes locked on one another, each trying to get a read on one another.
