THIS IS A SERIOUS DISCUSSION!), with the snipes teeth and the twilight sparkles... is that overkill though?

I think it only fair that Satu having had the corner market on glitter, sparkles and makeup for over a year, be allowed to be immune to their vampiric powers. Also, I think I should put in a request to the help desk that she be immediately treated as their best friend because of this. (BFF - And I do mean FOREVER)

Imagine, she could straddle two worlds, at night/day whichever is decided .Satu could hang out with them, and be all emo about the state of Miz, and then she could go back off into her world of Sagallius and Cordas and mad ramblings... please!

If I'm being honest, I don't think vampires really fit into the world of Mizahar. It's such an original world, we don't want to sully them with these glittering undead.

Werewolves, on the other hand....

And please someone let Cayenne know when she logs on! I think she is perhaps the biggest vampire fan I ever met!

Vampires in Miz?

There should be a select group of vampires that have Drizzt-like values, are 'vegetarians', frolic in the meadows and flowers, and sparkle.

Imagine how many newbies will flock to Miz, now that they can ALL be Mrs. Cullen.

This situation brings certain lyrics to my memory:

"You've got to laugh when you're the joke..." timeless, priceless and in no way meant as an attack.

As a side note, i am quite positive we should give every vampire a pet unicorn so they can actually stand a chance when the werewolves come. :P

Okay... so here's the breakdown so far.

100 skill points per 100 years alive to start... w/max of 500 years (after all the valterian probably killed the majority of them or created them)
Backstory - develop them as a product of Valterrian
Special permission - requires help desk approval
Wings - I'm going with feathers rather than bat though because Zith already have bat wings
Levitation as well...
No Sparkles. I got hate mail over this that was almost death-threat like.
Red Eyes - cause we need a way to identify a vamp right away
Affiniity to Satu's awesomeness and as a biproduct tend to be forced to pause and count the pieces of glitter if glitter is thrown at them (this is super secret though so they will kill you if they find out you know about this achilles heel)
They cannot sire children (sorry Van).
They can sire other Vampires, but it requires a specific ritual preformed on specific days (anniversary of the Valterrian) so that people wanting to be embraced (we need a new word) can lurk and emo and think about it a whole year before they come to the dark side
Weakness to moonlight rather than sunlight (we're changing this up!)
Superstrength

Did I miss anything?

While this discussion is all well and good, I feel it is missing something. These Vampire characters need to maintain a loner's mystery, yes, but it is also imperative they charm and beguile...everything. Like the bonding between a Kelvic and a master, these vampires need to have a constant companion.

For this companion character, I present to you: The Strong Female. We’ll call the race “Stales” (St- strong, Ale- female).

This race will be curvy, yet athletic, despite the disparate physiognomy of these body types. Anything beneath a D-cup will be shunned as a mutant and expelled from the race to join the other category of companion: “Oh, I didn’t know I was beautiful because I am one flaw away from perfection”, aka the IDK’s. This race is still in development because really, no one understands them except Vampires and I am not a Vampire, so it’s very hard to write.

Anyhoo.

“Stales” will have red hair and fiercely colored eyes. Occasionally, black hair will be accepted. Voluptuous mouths come standard. Despite their rough and tumble existence, they will always exude the smell of spices and or vanilla. They will have a racial bonus in hunting, of course, and dress like pirates. They will be brash and opinionated but fiercely loyal to their friends. Dead parents are a must.

Since the IDK’s and Stales are still in development, suggestions are welcome.

As a fellow Drizzit fan I must say you can't forget that they would also be a total badass.

Vampires also need some form of camouflage, sort of like the Predator. I mean, Eth's can age things a day, I think snapping your fingers and becoming invisible to the eye for an infinite amount of time while retaining all of your other abilities is completely balanced. How else will they sneak up on other PCs and turn them into Vampires? Remember, the goal is to have as many vamps as possible, because they are that awesome.
