[Flashback]Going for a short walk[Herb]

[Clyde Sullins]

Running around, the pycon had managed to dodge the blows, or deflect them. going forward, his attack brought him below Clydes feet. Surprised by this, Clyde forgot his staff for a moment, and instead started jumping up and down, stomping and kicking at the tiny little pycon. if he connected, it would either be stomped or sent flying, depending on which attack was to strike. after doing all this, Clyde would remember his staff, and jump back, trying to get into a good range, and start to attack with the staff. He would once more start his whack-a-mole like game, trying to hit the pycon, occasionally know also stabbing at him with the bottom of the staff. It seemed he had only just know remembered that the staff had two ends.

As his opponent began jumping up and down, Herb jumped himself with a start, scrabbling to keep a hand hold on his staff he didn't notice an incoming foot, landing squarely onto his leg practically squishing it flat, almost instantly afterwards a foot connecting squarely with his body sending him flying through the air landing on the floor in a crumpled heap on the floor, staff bring thrown clear of him. Sitting there barely even acknowledgement his surrounds, then noticing his flattened leg, sat briefly and concentrated hard as his leg reformed itself into the leg he was used to. Eyes still clearing of the bashing he took, looked around and saw a potential incoming attack but his body simply wouldn't move.

Being caught off guard, Clyde had gone a bit frantic, and overboard. Jumping and attacking, well he did to much. Looking down, he saw some clay stuck to his boot, and the squashed form of the pycon laying there. Redirecting his last blow, he avoided the pycon, and then dropped his staff to the side. "Ah!!! Are you okay? I'm so sorry, i did not mean to squash you!!! Are you okay!!!" Moving over, he grabbed a chunk of the clay that had been dropped, and tried to press it back into the limp form. With thoughts rushing through his head, he tried to think what to do, did he just try to push all the clay back together and let it reform, or something else? Looking around he tried to locate any more clay, and checked on the pycon to see if it was getting any better. Finally calming down and trying to think rationally, he looked down once more. "Are you okay, what do you need me to do?"

[Herb]

Still ringing from the assault, he just start there staring off into space. ' Oh.....I'll be fine, you can't really hurt me as such...well not permanently any ways. ' Looking around he saw his staff laying on the floor a few feet away, but just couldn't see straight enough, every time he reached for it, it seemed to simply get further away. Shaking his head firmly, he steeled himself and stood up. Grabbing his staff from the floor, he readied himself for round two of the duel.

Clyde had gotten a bit overboard with that last bit of fighting, and had used his feet more than his staff. Backing up some more, he gave the tiny pycon some space, so that he could reform his body. As he watched he saw the clay come back into one chunk, and slowly get a form. Shaping itself, a pair of tiny feet appeared, along with some tiny arms. These were dizzily scrabbling around trying to find there staff. Finally he had regained his self enough to pick it up, and was ready to spar once more. Taking up his staff in a defensive position, he started slow, simply trying to hit with the staff a few times, followed with a jab from the bottom. For the most he was waiting on the others response.

[Herb]

Standing focused now on his surroundings, he sought any movement out from the staff and watched it, each incoming strike his opponent made he darted out of the way from, and if needed using his staff as a shield to take the brunt of the strike or simply to deflect. The incoming jab almost caught him off guard but he flattened to the floor and rolled out of the way, regaining his footing quickly thanks to his little bit of brawling he lunged forward. Staff held low with one arm, swinging it in a long sideways arch, aiming squarely for the knee joint, only at the moment did he grab the staff with his second hand to force it downwards at his opponents ankle.

Though there previous encounter had left the tiny pycon squished, this one would not do so. He deftly swung his staff and feinted, bringing it down... right on his foot!!! He had been moving back, and so it barely missed his ankle but it had struck true a good hit on his foot. As pain shot through Clyde, he let out a loud "Yeoooow!!!" He quickly fell down, having lost his balance from the blow, and ended up flat on his backside, trying to pull in fresh air after having the wind knocked out of him. To the small form of the pycon, it must almost seem like the felling of a giant, and he crashed down with a dull thud, and a small puff of dirt and dust rose. In all the commotion, he had lost his staff once more, as it rolled away when he struck. Squinting through the pain, Clyde let out a deep breath, and looked at the pycon. "Good one.... I think thats about all ive got for now... maybe we should rest...." Obviously this was said mostly on his own account, since the pycon did not really look to need rest, and Clyde was the one who was winded and lying on the floor no longer with his weapon, which he still had not realized he had lost.

[Herb]

Noting that his opponent had tumbled to the floor, Herb was quick jumping up onto the chest and raising his staff as if ready to make a killing strike to his opponents throat. "Good one.... I think thats about all ive got for now... maybe we should rest...." Jumping off his chest he laid down his staff by his bag, and walked back to Clyde running his fingers and hands over his foot, just to make sure no real injury was done. ' I think you're foot will be fine, maybe just the shock of the unexpected strike. Though some use of certain herbs would always help. ' He went into a little more detail about the types of herbs that might be useful to swelling ' One round apiece then I belief, it was fun. ' He sat back down with his belongings close by, but closer to Clyde this time.

Slowly getting up, he let the tiny pycon check his body for injuries. Since it did not bring on any flashes of pain, he gave a quick thumbs up to show he was okay, before raising to fully sitting. His pain in his foot was slowly dulling, and was not as bad as a moment ago. It might be sore for a day or two, but was fine overall. He listened to him talk of the different herbs and such, something of which he did not know really anything. He did listen intently, as he was always thirsty for new knowledge. Listening was one of his greatest skills. As the pycon sat near him, he continued to rest, at peace once more as he had been before this spar. He did not really have any issues with personal space, and had no problem with someone leaning on him. Many a time he had been resting out of the city, and had let a animal that was peaceful lie by him, and rest together. For a moment, this brought back memories of his home, and his parents. He wondered if they would be happy seeing how he had developed. Looking over, he noticed his staff had rolled a bit, and so he reached over and grabbed it from its landing place. Afterwards he sat back, and looked down at the tiny pycon. "Well that was fun. If we meet again, we should do something. I think i learned a lot. So what do you have planned to be doing while you are here in Zeltiva."

' Oh I live here, was born somewhere, now I live elsewhere. Though I do like healing people, herbs and medicine are something I'd really like to learn more of. ' Looking around he laid down onto his back, and just let his mind wander a little bit. Thoughts flooded him of how he'd once seen his Father fight with a staff, in such a masterful way he'd won a fight over three human sized figure's without really too much trouble, even though they were armed. ' What sort of things are you here for, not that I know much of what's around here yet, I'm still very young, and my friend doesn't want me wondering too far around in case I get lost or injured. But I tell her I'll be fine. '
