[Flashback]Magic fights magic![Kye]

506AV, Winter 28 Once more Clyde found himself training outside. A decent bit out of the city, Clyde was practicing his magics, a place outside of the looking eye of the Syliran knights, and were he stood little chance of being run through for it. Which in Syliras was a possibility for magic users. Taking out a quill and some ink, he tried to decide what to do. He was getting pretty good at using his glyphing, and was far beyond the simple symbol on his hand. Taking his time he drew a large focus on both of his palms, which should help him to generate djed from it. He then drew a string of glyphs up each arm, which were put to reinforce and to assist the djed as it flowed up his arm from his body, and into his hands. This was filled with words to augment and enhance, such as : power, strength, flow, precision, guide, and agility. Putting this string of word glyphs up both arms, he sighed. he felt this would perhaps strengthen it somewhat, and direct it to what he was wanting with it. As he waited for the glyphs to dry, he put away his ink and quill, looking around for the first time since he started glyphing.

Kye rocked his chair onto it's back legs. He was bored. His father was, once again, talking about travels. No matter how many times the fifteen year old boy told him that he did not want to go, he wouldn't listen. He let his chair level again with a slam. His father shot him an angry look. Kye stood up and walked out the door. He was nearing the front gates of the city, gaining some odd looks from a few passersby. He seemed to be the only one around without a cloak while it was Winter. He didn't need one though, so he ignored the glances. He rounded a corner and stopped at the sight of a boy, perhaps a little younger than himself, drawing on his arms. Intrigued, Kye stepped closer. He froze in his tracks though, when the boy looked round. Kye was only a couple of feet away from where he sat. He shrugged his shoulders awkwardly and buried his hands in his pockets. "What are you drawing on your arms?"

Clyde had been more or less relaxing, letting his glyphs dry before doing some more reimancy. He thought he was alone, and in a reasonably hidden area, but someone had walked by in just the right way to see him clearly. Being spotted, he tried to hide them at first, though this was difficult to do since he had drawn as many as he had. "Me? im just doing a bit of drawing.... for practice...." For obvious reasons Clyde was not quick to admit what he was up to, or that he was doing magic. Syliras was not one of the most tolerant places, and though he was a safe distance out, he still had to be careful of what he said, lest he were to confess to a knight or someone working for them. Even his parents did not know he was here. "So what are you doing out here? I did not expect to see anyone here."
