A place for this lonely Kelvic runaway to go?

Postby Talbot on September 24th, 2011, 12:04 pm

Hey, I'm new to the boards here, and I'm having trouble finding a place to begin my character's story. To fill you in, Talbot has, in essence, run away from his homeland in Denval, Kalea and is now pursuing a nomadic life. It's been a while since he left, so he could be anywhere in Mizahar. He's a strong character so he's most likely going to end up being a protector of some sort.

Could someone point me in the direction of a good place to start?

A place for this lonely Kelvic runaway to go?

Alvadas is a fun place to be, and while it might lack physical challenges, your character's sanity will be challenged at every turn.

I disagree Alric. Alvadas is full of physical chalenges. First of all is the coliseum, a great place to fight and get paid.

Also their is always someone ready to start a fight, join a spar, or try to kill you randomly in the streets.

Considering all the shenanigans Bones has gotten into, how can you say the city is not physical?

Alvadas is not just for the intellectuals. There is quite a niche for the more physical and violent players.

Also it seems to be easier for us more animalistic races to get away with things, and being such, when you are in a city were people are hesitant to trust their senses.
Bones is a Constrictor Dhani. He likes to eat meat. He also has some speech problems.

When he speaks, a double s (ss) means a [th] sound, that he cannot say.

A triple s (sss) means just an [s], but it is extended in his speech.

Alvadas is what you interpret it to be. If you seek a fight, it will find you. And you my friend seek to fight. :)

That said, I will retract my earlier comment. But I still maintain that I am less likely to get mugged in Alvadas than Sunberth or Ravok.

Can we keep a clear head, gents? I don't want people fighting over something as insignificant as a dispute about whether or not Alvadas is for intellectual rather than physical roleplayers.

I'll check Alvadas out, but since that it's in the same region as Denval, I may look to places a bit further away.

I agree with Darik. You should come to Sunberth. It's fairly far away, and something is always happening. I would be happy to start a thread with you if you so choose to come.

I don't know about good place to start, it should be your choice, read the Lore and pick the one which suits you the most. I would love some flashback with you. My character is from Denval too and she run away too, so.. And about your CS.. It's impossible for Klevics to live 23 years, they just can look like 23 in human form, my character is 3 and she's old for one Klevic. You would probably die at age 5 or so, so you really shouldn't be 23.

A place for this lonely Kelvic runaway to go?

She's correct on that one. A jaguar can live up to 18 yrs in animal form. They look like adults between 6 months and a year old. A one year old Kelvic would be about 16-19 years old in human form. Know your PC's personality before committing to a location. If he's a loner, then a busy city isn't appropriate. If he's sociable and friendly, then a highly populated city is ideal. Just read the lores and wiki, and you'll know the right place for your Kelvic as soon as you know his personality. :D Welcome to Mizahar!

x.x

Sugar honey ice tea. Someone read my profile before and pointed out the errors, but never mentioned that it wasn't feasible for a Kelvic to be 23 years old, so I assumed it was okay. I'm going to change it now, but I think it changes a lot of my history as well.
