Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Alea Davenport on November 2nd, 2011, 2:20 am

73rd Fall 511 (early evening)

Alea led her new friend Yuros to the back entrance to the Winterflame hold, which was where she had first met Aiza. Yuros was finally fully and warmly clothed, which eased Alea's conscience greatly, but there was still one thing that needed to happen before she could feel that he was properly taken care of. He needed a meal, and the only cook Alea knew was her cat's friend, Aiza, chef of Winterflame.

Alea opened the door and quietly snuck into what appeared to be a kitchen (she was in the habit of trying to be unobserved when entering unfamiliar buildings). When she did not see anyone immediately, she called out, somewhat timidly, "Aiza? Are you here?"

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Aiza on November 2nd, 2011, 3:04 am

Aiza had already started preparing a meal. She had snacks out, and desert all ready. She was just finishing up the stuffed peppers and mashed potatoes. Glancing side ways as the door opened she saw her friend Alea come in with a stranger. She gave a warm smile and waved. "Go into the dining room, there is a table with a cloth on it. Is bread there so you have something to eat while I finish the meal. Banir is already there." She waved them off going back to her cooking.

Aiza grabbed the cooked meat and started stuffing it into the peppers. She took mash potatoes and surrounded the pepper with the potatoes. Smiling she put garnish on the side to complete the meal's look.

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Banir Ironwood on November 2nd, 2011, 3:10 am

Awkwardly the tall man sat in his seat, still fully clothed for the outdoors in his dirty green coat still on, his hood still up to hide his face. The white scarf around his neck was lowered enough though his face was hidden behind an armored right arm that ate at a surprisingly delectable peice of bread. He grew tense at seeing visitors entered and lowered his head. Being large and brutish this would most likely seem as a rude gesture but in truth he was shy and unsure of company.

Banir shifted uncomfortably hoping that they would not sit near him. Fearing their confrontation he kept his head lowered eating the bun in haste to put the scarf back up to help hide the face he held in embarrassment.
"Where life leads me, is where I shall go. The greater question is, who is willing to accompany me on such a long travel?"

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Yuros on November 3rd, 2011, 2:07 am

While they walked Yuros could not help but pick at his new cloathing. The cloak felt itchy against his bare torso, and the boots pinched at his toes. The trousers were also far more constricting than he was used to, and if it were not for Alea's persistence that he leave them be the Kelvic would have removed them long ago.

As the approached Winterflame Hold, Yuros first noticed the smell of something amazing. The Kelvic had spent his entire life living off of the wild shrubs and vegetation that grew in the region. Never before had he even considered to cook any of his meals. As the stepped through the door he cast his eyes about the space, noticing a girl busily moving about the kitchen. Blinking in surprise Yuros noticed that she was a bit shorter than Alea.

Alea and the girl exchanged quick words before the girl shooed them away while she finished the food preparations. As the walked past the girl, her name was Aiza he learned from Alea, the Kelvic caught a whiff of a sent he did not expect. As the entered the other room Yuros cast a glance back at Aiza.

She smells of cat... he thought to himself. He then turned and followed Alea.

Yuros' attention instantly snapped to Banir as they entered the room. He took in the man's strange dress and mannor, noting the tense in his muscles and his observant eyes. Suddenly, Yuros fell back into his old nature that saved his life time and again in the great trees of the Spire. He felt his own muscles tensing as he watched the man, preparing for either fight or flight, though he did not know which. Slowly, his eyes never leaving Banir, he placed a hand on Alea's shoulder and pulled her closer, fully prepared to take her in his arms and leap through a window if them man proved a threat.

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Alea Davenport on November 3rd, 2011, 2:25 am

Seeing only one other person in the dining area at the moment, she assumed this must be Banir, and walked toward his table. She hesitated at first; not being used to meeting new people, she wanted to give him a chance to speak first. When Yuros pulled her closer, her heart doubled its rate, disturbing the butterflies sleeping in her stomach until they were fluttering around all over. She closed her eyes for a moment to collect herself.

Completely oblivious to any threat the man might pose, she put on her brightest smile, saying, "Hello. You must be Aiza's friend. My name is Alea, and this is my friend Yuros. Do you mind if we eat dinner together? I wanted Yuros to taste Aiza's cooking."

Not waiting for an answer, she sat down, pulling Yuros down next to her. Or, trying anyway. He usually followed her readily, but for some reason he was frozen stiff, unmoving. "Yuros?" she asked quietly. She placed a hand lightly on his arm. "Are you all right?" When he finally met her eyes, she smiled softly at him, and managed to guide him to a chair, though she could tell he was still very tense.

Hoping he would relax soon, she tried to return to a normal atmosphere of meal-sharing. She inhaled the scent of bread and sighed, "That smells wonderful.". She took two pieces and gave one to Yuros. "Eat," she commanded. He needed to get his strength back.

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Banir Ironwood on November 3rd, 2011, 3:09 am

Grabbing his scarf and putting it above his mouth to conceal the rest of his face once more he nervously sat across from them. His voice was gruff and unfamiliar with consistent use. His red eyes depicting rage while at the same time shimmered with orange and black. Nervous and fear where in his eyes for some reason.

"Uhh go right ahead, I am Banir Ironwood." He nodded to her he was practically sweating a river he was so nervous to interact with the strange new people. He was afraid dispite his large and well muscled size. Looking to the young man he seemed to fear him and interacting with him slightly, though the woman almost terrified him. She seemed amazingly straight forward as well as in command of the young man sitting next to her. This thoroughly confused him in many ways but simply decided to ask the question later. For the most part he was silent and awkward past his large and gruff appearance.

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Aiza on November 3rd, 2011, 2:20 pm

Aiza blinked curiously at the large man walking in behind Alea. She met eyes with the creature and blushed before quickly returning to her cooking. He is really tall... Was her only thought as he left the room. She glanced up only to catch him looking back at her. She once again, quickly returned to her work.

A moment or so later she came out of the kitchen and into the dinning area with a cart full of food and plates. The entire meal was enough for a whole crowd of people, let alone four. But she had to feed two large men, a girl and herself... So a big meal was needed.

Humming as she went she passed out plates and put the meal in the middle of the table. She put a bowl of lettuce out, some more bread, the stuffed peppers, and desert. "Okay... Eat up!" She kept her grin but noticed the air was tense. Everyone was staring at everyone else. "Oh, Alea, this is Banir, he seems tough, but he is just shy... Banir, this is Alea, she is a very nice girl I met. Er, and who is this again...?" She looked at the man next to Alea.

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Yuros on November 3rd, 2011, 5:24 pm

Yuros felt a hand on his arm and Alea's gentle words in his ear. Looking down he saw her eyes looking up at him, a question on her lips. The Kelvic felt his muslces relax slightly, just enough to allow himself to be guided to a seat across from the man.

Yuros' eyes watched intently at the mans every move. Sniffing the air the Kelvic could smell the man's nervousness, but what caused this he did not know. His wilder side immediately jumped to the worst possibilities. Was the man a threat? Was he sweating in anticipation of the kill? Would he make any sudden movements? All of this ran through Yuros' mind in a split second, and then he was distracted by something warm and soft being placed in his hands. Looking to Alea he saw that she also had one in her own hands was already eating. She waved a hand and said, "Eat."

Looking down at the bread Yuros was suddenly assaulted by an array of aromas that he was unfamiliar with. He could smell the sweetness of the bread baked to perfection, as well as a mix of butter and other ingredients that layered the top. Suddenly the man across the table did not matter any more. In one bite Yuros took the entire roll in his mouth, barely chewing before swallowing the delicious pastry. When his mouth was open it could clearly be seen that he did not have any canines at all.

Yuros was just licking the butter from his fingers when Aiza stepped into the room carrying a new set of aromas with her. The Kelvic felt as if his nose would explode from the number of delicious sents. Almost as soon as the food was set on the table Yuros had his hand in the bowl of lettuce cuts and was eating the leaves as if there were no tomorrow.

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Alea Davenport on November 3rd, 2011, 8:03 pm

Alea chuckled quietly to herself at Yuros's enthusiasm, secretly incredibly relieved that he was able to eat and regain his strength. Since he was so busy, Alea performed introductions. "This is my friend Yuros. He just arrived in town recently, and he's not quite used to...er...the city, yet. Please be patient with him." She smiled brightly, but she was looking at Banir out of the corner of her eye. He seemed extremely nervous for some reason. Aiza had said he was shy, but she was being extremely friendly! She couldn't imagine what he was so afraid of.

Despite her burning curiosity, she decided to at least eat something before interrogating the man. She finished her first piece of bread, and started on a stuffed pepper. Trying to think of a polite way to begin conversation, she said, "Where do you come from Banir? Have you been in Avanthal very long?"

Dinner and new friends (Aiza, Yuros, Banir)

Postby Banir Ironwood on November 4th, 2011, 12:01 am

Banir almost jumped at the question his red eyes still filled with rage but he showed no sign of it in body language. His gruff voice entered the air as he answered the question. Shifting uncomfortably at the interaction between himself and Alea. He felt his emotions rising, he didn't enjoy it. The feeling was weird and he couldn't understand it, which brought him back to his bothersome rage. The anger that never went away, he didn't even know why he was angry all the time which made it worse. Focusing on his words he spoke in an attempt to break the cycle of thought revolving pointlessly around his anger.

"My last memory is of Wind Reach. I arrived in Avanthal only a while ago." Realizing he had made a successful answer he felt a little better about himself and reached for a plate of food. With a preferance to something more with meat he took a plate. He brought his scarf down but his head as well, it was a strong attempt not to show his face to others while he ate.
