Ethne first froze when she was asked to play, but upon seeing her ferret not only allow the Knight to pet him, but actually rub his body into his hand a bit. She let out a noise that was half of a sigh from holding in her breath, and half of a laugh. Pulling out her Shakuhachi, she nodded to the Knight and said.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Ser Andresciel, my name is Ethne."

Crossing her legs, she began playing a slow and soft song called the Edo Lullaby. She had her eyes closed, and did not notice the silver cat that seemed to come up from around the corner. However, as the song went on, her ferret did in fact, notice the cat. He crooked his head out from under the Knight's fingers and stared the cat down. He could smell her, and what he smelled was not all cat from her. He could smell human.

Andresciel smiles as he nods "A Pleasure Miss Ethne." He chuckles as he watches the ferret, stroking the ferrets head. He looked up at the cat, watching the creature come around the corner. Andresciel's body was relaxed, a show of a master, as he held himself completely still, focused solely on his surroundings.

He was not much for stopping animals, but he would protect the little ferret that sat now on his palm, even as he watched the silver cat. His senses tingled, telling him something was not right about the 'cat', but he couldn't place it. He simply shrugged and sat back to enjoy the music that Ethne was playing, his eyes closing.

Tara crept a little closer, always keeping her eyes on something else. She never made it seem like her motive was to get closer to them. She wandered backwards and forwards and made little curves as if she was interested in something unseen. She then lay down and yawned. She vaguely wondered if her reimancy would work while she was in this form. She gathered all of her energy at her right paw, but it soon fizzled out and spread back round the rest of her body. It seemed she had to be human to control her powers. Her ears twitched, listening to the gentle sound coming from the instrument that the girl was playing. It was a soothing melody.

Tara lay down and closed her eyes, nearly falling asleep but she woke with a started when a bird suddenly flew out of a tree. It reminded her that she need to stay alert while she was here. She never really trusted strangers, and she didn't know what they were going to do next. She studied them both. They seemed calm, unthreatening. Neither looked like they would try to harm her. She visibly relaxed, her shoulders drooping and her tail lay gently on the ground. She then stared at the ferret resting in the arms of the knight. She could not speak ferret, and was not a good interpreter of their body language but she could tell it knew. Most animals could sense a kelvic when they saw one. Maybe this was due to humans dulled senses. Tara kept her distance, because sometimes even humans could tell an animal from a kelvic.

The ferret calmed down a bit when the cat laid down to rest from the music, but Ethne's song did not go on forever. Once Ethne had finished the song, the ferret hopped down from the Knight and began slowly making his way towards the cat. He made a little hissing sound as he did, moving in almost a pattern but not yet a dance.

When Ethne ended the song, she packed back up her Shakuhachi and asked the Knight.
"Did you like it?"
Her eyes widened as she looked past the Knight at the Ferret.

He looks at the ferret, letting loose a burst of his wind, trying to separate the two. "It was beautiful, thank you for playing for me." He smiles at Ethne as he turned his eyes back towards the cat.

He could feel it, she felt like his friend. His friend the Kelvic, a wolf instead of a cat. He tilts his head to one side as he speaks "You are not one of the normal beings, a normal cat, I know not what you are, but I know you mean no harm. I will see that no harm comes to you, Kitten." He spoke softly, bowing his head to her. He touched his hand to his heart, as if swearing a vow to this.

Tara hissed and arched her back as the ferret approached her. She crouched down, preparing to pounce on the creature when a cold blast of wind broke them apart. She closed her eyes and turned her head away. When she looked back up she saw it had been the knight. Ah, so he practiced reimancy as well. She looked at him with large green eyes and blinked slowly. She was extremely confused, as no human she had met before had known she was kelvic, or at least not normal. She mewed quietly, keeping eye contact with him. She had briefly forgotten about the ferret which was across from her.

She figured now he knew there was not much point in staying in this form, as she could not freely communicate. A bright white light started emanating from her and then shot out of her, engulfing her form. A shadow of a cat glowed through the light and then dissolved. As this was happening a new from appeared out of the lights, that of a human. This all happened in under 5 seconds, however. She looked at the knight and smiled. "Give me a minute" she said, her attitude much different from earlier. She went back to where she had changed the first time and got into her clothes and put on her shoes. She returned back to where the two were standing. "Well, what now?" she asked. She was slightly nervous as all people reacted differently to kelvics. Some didn't trust them and others saw them as nothing but slaves for the wealthy.

The ferret was surprised by the gust of air, but that wasn't enough to stop him from getting ready to attack again. However, the magical transformation of the cat into a human was more than enough to freeze him still.

Ethne was at a complete loss, she was about rush up to stop her ferret after Andre pushed him back with wind when the cat transformed. Her mouth dropped and she sat there stunned until Tara had already finished leaving and coming back. Closing her mouth she asked.
"What are you?"
To say that Ethne was isolated and not very educated in other species was an understatement. She had never heard of a Kelvic before, let alone seen one.

Andresciel chuckles as he glances at Ethne "This is a Kelvic." He stated as he turned to Tara, "That depends on you. If you are peaceful, then we may sit and talk. If you mean harm, then, I'll have to stop you." The Knight stated softly, doing his duty as a part of Syliras military order. For his part, he was always kind to the Kelvic race, having already met a friend who was one.

"So, it truly depends on how you act my friend." He chuckles softly as he stayed where he was sitting. "For you are not a slave, nor have you done anything for me not to trust you." He pointed out.

Tara relaxed her shoulders a little and took in a breath. She nodded at the knight, showing she understood. She did not generally harm humans and tried to avoid getting into things with them. She flicked her eyes to the Ethne and her ferret. She felt at least a little smug. The ferret was standing pretty still now and didn't seem to be aggressive any longer. The little girl seemed at a loss. "As he said" she told her, flicked her head slightly towards Andresciel "I'm a Kelvic". Tara sat down with her legs curled in front of her.

She was pretty tired from transforming. She looked at the little girl, curious. "Hey.. Why are you all on your own?" she asked, genuinely worried for the child. When she was the equivalent to a nine year old human she had to fend for herself and it was tough.

Ethne suddenly looked away, surprised by the question that she really didn't want to answer. She made a clicking noise with her tongue and the ferret snapped around, bounding back to Ethne. He climbed up her arm and burrowed under her cloak on her shoulder, where it was warmer. Ethne stood up, still unable to look Tara in the eye, and said.
"Ridiculous question. I'm not on my own at all. I have Fauzi."
At the mention of the Ferret's name, he perked up. Ethne relaxed him again by scratching his head lightly.
