With the torch handed back to him Antar cooly and calmly snuffed it out in the dirt as the lacquer burned at a good pace. When he judged the fire hardening ready, he took a step towards the camp's water barrel and quickly overturned it above the training dummy they were making.
The water flowed down the construction, taking the burning pitch with it as a bit of steam doused the errant flames, though the majority of the burning oil would stay alight as the lacquer became suspended above the water. From there to finish putting things out it was as easy as taking a camp's shovel and smothering the mixture with soil. This was one of the dangers of working on a large construction with fire burning. At other times one might simply begin to douse the object completely so long as it was small enough and held in tongues.
However, even this process did not net the total desired result; a small bit of pitch lay burning on the trundle. A bit of reimancy would serve to serve that its due rights. No, not to create more fire but to attract it.
And so he did, bringing a small ball of res to a point just off the burning flames, before the flames began to bend, then became apart from the pitch with a hissing snap. The newly made ball of flame went to the earth and another shovel full finished the job.
Smiling a little he looked at Darian, "I do believe a bit of hunting would be fine later, since we're rather done here save for wrapping it in ropes and the leather scraps we took. Care to finish this first or shall we move onto the hunting and the killing of furry rodents so you of all people can teach me how to carve a bit of bone. Worse comes to worse I may just have a rabbit for the pot to welcome your first night amongst friends. In return, we shall see just what you're ready to learn hmmm?"
