Tony-

I can't even pretend to imagine what you are going through. All I can think of is how I'd feel loosing my husband and its not something I can even contemplate without loosing a bit of sanity. There is so much love for you on this site. Each and every person here cares deeply for you and we consider you part of our family. I totally understand you needing the time away maybe permanently, but please don't stop writing wherever and in whatever manner you can. Writing will help you get through this. You've seen us through some pretty rough times on here with your big broad shoulders. I just wish you'd let us help you get through some of your times that I won't even remotely demean by saying they are 'rough' because well... rough doesn't even skim the surface.

But we are here if you need to talk. We're here if you need to write. We're here if you just need us to try and make you smile. Life is amazingly hard and amazingly beautiful all at the same time. Please don't give up on what you bring to the world and retreat from it. And we'll be here if you find we're something you need in the future. I know we have and always will continue to need you.

As Jen said - you're part of the family here, and deeply loved. There's nothing I can say to take the pain away, but look after yourself, and we're here for you if you need us, and thinking of you if you don't. Writing does help, it's cathartic sometimes, but I can't pretend to understand how you feel.

I'm sorry.

You have been a huge help, and a grand inspiration for all of us here on this site. My thoughts go to you, and my words to your consolation.

It seems my silver tongue has been turned to lead, so instead I shall fumble through and express to you my love and care. Tony, if I could express all that you have been to me personally in one word it would be this: Amazing.

Take the time you need, do what you must and be strong. We shall eagerly await your return and greet you with open arms when you are ready. The site would not be the same without you here, and you will always have a place in Alvadas.
