Hello!

Hello! Just your everyday newcomer, really. There's not much to tell, I'm afraid! I'm from Singapore, if anyone's heard of my little nation, but I've lived in Australia for years prior to coming 'home'. I'm currently serving in the military. A friend in my platoon recommended this place when I mentioned taking up roleplaying again. I haven't really roleplayed in years, but I look forward to getting started again, mainly for something to do when I'm off-duty. Rather looking forward to a vaguely intellectual pastime! Cheers.

Don't worry, Mirage is here to help!! Advice for getting started, read EVERYTHING in the starting email you got when you registered. Its got all the info you need on character sheets, how to do character development and all kinds of fun stuff!! After you read that go check out the races. Find one that fits you and read EVERYTHING there is to know about them

. I find that while you are still deciding on the race that just reading the Overview and a few descriptions instead of the entire page will keep you from feeling overwhelmed. After you choose however go back and read up on all the histories and religions and cultural stuff

After you got your Race go check out our skills and magics page and start thinking about your character concept, and after that Check out the cities!! I found that going in that order makes it a little easier for those starting out to get what they need and not feel totally overwhelmed by all there is in Miza. Also, feel free to ask any and all questions and we, the loving ST's of Mizahar, shall answer them to our fullest abilities

Thanks Mirage! That's actually a great help. I think I'll start easy and boring - human? - the only thing left to decide upon now is the character's identity, and the area I want to start in, because, as I understand it, a travel system has been set in motion here.
