Playing in the Snow (Aidara)

Postby Sira on September 5th, 2012, 8:38 pm

Sira and Toby both laughed as Natalie stared burying his feet in snow, determined to cover them completely. It was quite amusing to watch, and Sira recalled not so long ago when she found the same things so entertaining. She was a bit sad that it seemed Natalie was going to grow up just as fast as she did, but it wasn't something the kelvic was going to dwell on. She had hoped her daughter would be born a human, that way she didn't have to go through all the hardship that Sira had gone through as a child, but it seemed Lhex wasn't on her side in that matter. Natalie would outgrow the other children, and possibly be made fun of just as Sira had been, but Sira was determined that she wasn't going to let her daughter be put down by it.

After Addy declared it was time to go inside, Toby knelt down and picked Natalie up off the ground, making playful faces at her as he carried the girl inside. That gave Sira and Addy a chance to be alone, and when the healer turned Sira so that Toby couldn't see, she already knew what was coming. The healer questioned Sira right away, and she could see the concern in her eyes. It was sweet how much Aidara cared for her, it was the reason she loved her... but at the same time, it could be really annoying. Sira was more independent than most kelvics, though if Addy told her to do something, she would listen. But Addy didn't give orders, and Sira was usually free to do as she pleased. She knew Addy wouldn't drop it, but she also knew the healer probably wouldn't actually stop her either. Instead of answering outright, Sira just decided to avoid the subject.

"When have I ever done anything stupid," she jokingly responded, before turning and pulling Addy along by the hand as she hurried to catch up with Toby and cut the conversation short. "Come on, let's get out of this cold."

OOCI think that's a good way to end it, actually. Kind of leave things open to whatever we want to have happen in the future. Go ahead and make a final post if you want, or you can just submit the thread for XP. I’ll leave it up to you.

The Sphinx's Riddle
This grade was really a really lore heavy one, but that being said, there was a lot of information for you guys to process! It was good to see Sira get some closure for her father, although I can practically feel the shenanigans she will come up with from a mile away. The next thread in this little arc will be awesome, I know it.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your grade, please send me a PM and we can figure it out. :)

She smiled, and it was frightening.
