[OOC] Sunberth's OOC Thread

Hello everyone- newbie here who thought Sunberth would be a good place for his character to start. I just wanted to introduce myself and ask if there's any good advice with regards to getting started here that anyone could give me.

Hey guys. Just kickstarting this character here who's a slave for sale! Yey! =D

Hey Lunelia, just so you know. A lot of players won't have the money to buy a slave. They usually are like kelvics 500 gold and up. Or less about 130 or so dependant on race. It all depends on price/availability /specialities. So what are you trying to do, actually? What are you expecting out of sunberth ?

Oh, just have some fun! And I'm sure someone will think of an idea as in how to get a slave super cheap/for free.. it's Sunberth, and there's methods..

Not really that good methods which wouldn't involve, O.o
1. Armed guards,
2. ticked off merchants.
3. Possible bounties
4. Oh, and rabid chipmunks gnawing on flesh of recaptured slaves XD.

If you have an idea of wanting to set up maybe an Npc master to get your pc some development first before such an attempt. Well, then just pm me. Otherwise, I challenge you to think long and hard of how'd you play a slave in a place that doesn't have a 'refined' sense of slavery XD. Most slaves in sunberth have the harder side of things and aren't treated well.

We do have a plantation for slaves.
Some whorehouses might take a girl in as a slave.
We have some slaves being sold in the slaver's market, (take a look there for some npc's etc)
But no real 'slaves of a high minded gentry or rich merchant types. Those types of 'noble slavery' or loyalty types of themes would be found with the epharyians or in Ravok .

And no matter what, the ideas wouldn't be just up against 'getting a slave cheap/free'. They'd be up against dealing with those which owned them first .

Edit: Just an FYI; I'm putting this up here, so people can get a little bit more of an overview of what slavery is in sunberth.

On a scale of prices for slaves, the higher valued ones (and thus treated better) would be those with special abilities. Like some crazy konti with a marked rak'keli gnosis being sold into slavery or a ranuri mark.

Otherwise, the more run of the mill would have less chances of living long.

Hey everybody! This unpleasant specimen of a man arrives in Sunberth duing the later stages of the season, and I'm looking to hunker down for a while. I'd like to get in on group threads instead of doing everything on an individual basis (where nobody'll get timely replies), so let me know if you're interested.

Lucas will pass through Sunberth on his way to Zeltiva this season, so I'm looking for people to RP with.

He's a failed squire, quite good with a sword, but even better without. He experiments, he draws, he talks more than is good for him, he drinks a lot, he's kind of quirky, has a weird sense of humor, is obsessed with Eypharians and has little regard for authority sometimes.
