Centroc's Supplies isn't in a building like everything else in the Base Camp. It is manned out of one of the largest trade wagons any have seen, even by Jamoura standards. The cart is completely full of trade goods from all over Mizahar. It is not a permanent sight, and will likely disappear within a season or two. If there is anything you are needing, odds are he will have it or something quite similar.

Centroc and his wagon arrived at the Base Camp mere days after it was built. He quickly established himself in the camp, making contacts there within, as well as buying local goods and selling items. He has also made a special deal to supply any wishing to help rescue residents of the city proper to supply them with local goods at prices far below his normal markup.

Discounted Goods are available to those wishing to rescue citizens. He will also supply a pack for free the first time.
Goods Not ListedAny goods not available in the list require a moderated post to be purchased. Same applies to the selling of goods.

Discounted Goods:
Item Discounted Price Standard Price Note
Capture PackThis pack contains a single Slugsuckle Snare, a single Slugsuckle Net, a single Punch Signal Bundle, and four Sleep eggs. 3 GM 12 GM First one is free.
Slugsuckle SnareA snare made from the Slugsuckle vine that is common in The Spires area. It has been treated to be much stronger and more flexible than the vine normally is. This snare is not designed to be a lay and wait trap like many, but can be adjusted to suit that need as well. The snare is threaded along a young, flexible branch or sapling. At the end of the snare is a loop, which can be tightened by simply pulling. The vine is strong enough to hold all but the strongest of the Jamoura. One should note that overpowering a Jamoura is very unlikely unless you are one, snares are best used with others assisting. 5 SM 2 GM
Slugsuckle NetA net made from specially treated Slugsuckle Vines. The net is large enough to entrap the largest of Jamoura, and is designed in such a way that if the thrower can tighten the net around the beast by pulling on the lead rope. It is highly effective in restraining a Jamoura. 2 GM 8 GM
Punch SignalA signal made from a hollow tube of wood and packed with damp herbs. There is a uniquely made device in the base of the tub. There is a plug made from wood and sulfur resting within a band of very rough wood. One bites or pulls off the upper end then strikes the bottom end against a hard surface. This forces the plug upward against the inner rough wood, igniting the sulfur. The fire ignites the dampened herbs, and produces a large amount of colored smoke, red and blue being the most common. This is used to signal for help or for assistance in retrieving a captured Jamoura. 1 GM 4 GM Bundles of three
Stinger SpearA simple wooden spear with the detached stingers of Sting Rays tied to the end. The sting rays are from an inlet of the northern sea near the city. They are larger than normal rays, and rather than the stinger merely causing pain, it sedates the victim. The stingers are roughly five inches in length, and usually about four are tied around the end of the spear. It is very difficult to kill someone with them. Four stingers will put down a wild Jamoura in moments, while two will do the same to a standard human or Kelvic. The stingers are one use only and must be replaced. 1 GM 4 GM Stinger refills cost 5 SM each.
Sleep EggsThese are large bird eggs that have been drained of their contents and filled with a special blend of herbs and liquid, which appears to be an orange color. Being eggs, they are extremely fragile. They are thrown at a creatures face. The fumes from the liquid will cause the victim to fall into a deep sleep. One egg will put a human down for 16 bells, whereas a Jamoura will be down for about 4 bells. 5 CM 3 SM Sold in sets of 2.
Sleep SlingA small Slugsuckle Vine net holding 4 Sleep Eggs, invented by Zandelia. Used to break all 4 eggs on a single target. 3 GM 12 GM Sold 1 at a time, includes the 4 eggs.
Smoke SpinnerTwo punch signals altered and combined to work as a quick release smoke screen, invented by Zandelia. 2 GM 8 GM Sold 1 at a time

Postby Massacre on April 26th, 2012, 10:54 pm

Timestamp: 79th of Spring, 512 AV (Morning)

Massacre set down lightly just a few feet away from the wagon. It was a huge structure, bigger than any wagon Massacre had ever encountered, and he'd encountered a lot. Back when he was still among his tribe, they would often attack merchant caravans for their supplies, but none had ever been so big as this one. Massacre wondered what all could be inside. He had come for a purpose though. He was supposed to get a capture pack, a set of tools that would help him complete his mission in the Spires.

Though he had many mizas, things he'd collected over years of hunting wealthy merchants such as the one he was about to talk to, he did not need them. Supposedly the first pack was free, and Massacre did not plan on buy more than one to start things off. As he walked up Centroc approached him, and Massacre offered him a casual nod as he glanced over the obvious contents of the wagon. The spears did interest him, but he knew they weren't part of the free pack. He would probably have to pay for those. After a moment he turned to the merchant and spoke.

"I was told I could get a capture pack from you, and that it would not cost me anything the first time. Also, I want five of the spears."

Centroc confirmed the statement, and within a chime or two, Massacre had his capture pack and was on his way. Inside were four eggs, which he had been told could put someone to sleep if they shattered, a net, a snare, and the strange punch signal which supposedly would call help for him if he broke it against a hard object. As for the spears, he ended up having to pay for those, but that was okay. They would be worth it down the line. Massacre would have to take some time later to learn how to use each of the items, but at least he had what he needed to get things underway.

61st Day of Spring, 512AV

Xuphim had just arrived the day previous with the rest of the Syliran group, and it wasn't much. In that short time he'd gone over the various briefings held on their way westward toward the Spires and set himself up well enough for the season. The fog bothered him, not because of its ability to restrict vision, but because of it's Djed based origin. It was warped and unnatural, and it was doing things that shouldn't have been happening. Xuphim didn't know much of the Jamoura people, but from what he had gathered they were a more peace loving and civilized bunch than most Humans. Being reduced to a beast was something he could relate to, given the state of an Akalak could be prone to break down as well. Unless of course the will was hardened and the two halves learned to work together. He and Xalet weren't quite there yet, but the stability was improved greatly from their previous relationship.

"Right...so I'm here to help out with this problem. I heard you could help with some supplies or something." Xuphim mentioned, unable to more clearly articulate what he was looking for. Luckily Centroc seemed to be a man of great worldly knowledge. Even with someone with methods as direct as Xuphim, the man was able to explain the value of the different items within the capture pack. Beating a Jamoura senseless wasn't exactly a viable alternative to capture, so recognizing how to use something like the sleep eggs was invaluable. For the first time, Xuphim was truly going to have to use a multi step strategy in order to get the job done.

"If I actually manage to get this crap working right, I'll be back for more, you can count on that." Xuphim promised the merchant. It was time to put things right in the Spires, and show Xalet how useful a little strength and elbow grease was no matter how complicated the situation.

61st of Spring, 512 AV

The Syliran volunteers had arrived in the day before. They had been briefed on the situation, something about a fog causing all beings in the area to become feral over time, if Marcus could remember correctly. The mission seemed simple enough. Capture feral citizens alive and bring them out of the fog so the effects of the fog can be undone. He was instructed to spend 2 bells out of the fog for ever 1 bell spent in the fog, which he intended to follow, as he had no intention of practically turning into an animal.

Marcus doubted that his sword or bow would do much to keep citizens alive. Well maybe his bow would, since if he aimed at a beings head he would most likely hit it in the foot if at all. Marcus found himself and his patron knight, Ser Noah, standing among a group of fellow volunteers, all surrounding a wagon selling various supplies needed to capture citizen safely. They called them capture packs and apparently had everything you needed in order to safely capture a feral citizen, and the first one was free, making it all the better. Marcus and Ser Noah eventually made their way to the front where they were greeted by a Eypharian merchant by the name of Centroc, who was selling said capture packs.

"One for me and one for the boy"Ser Noah spoke to Centroc, who humbly obeyed the order. Centroc returned with two of the packs had handed them over to the two men of the order. Before walking off, Noah took a peek inside his pack. He found a snare, net, a signal, and 4 sleeping eggs as promised. He looked at centroc and then back to Marcus nodded, before walking off.

Postby Eldon Sunkiss on June 4th, 2012, 3:37 am

Day 11 of Summer, AV 512

Eldon hadn't been brought into the Spire more than two days and already he found himself eager to assist in the problems the Spires was dealing with. The fog, turning sentient beings feral, and others straight up crazy, dire, feverish, bloodthirsty. It was frightening, but Eldon didn't even have to second guess this. It was wrong, Caiyha would not have allowed this if she could have stopped it, she needed help, and Eldon was here to offer what little he could.

Eldon, despite being unable to speak Jamouran, or Common (well), still managed to find a Jamouran who knew Pavi, as well as the before mentioned languages, and took responsibility for the Drykas. He led him to Centroc's Supplies, and prepared him for the great work Caiyha needed done.

Eldon received his free pack of supplies, the first and only pack he was told that would be free. He would keep that in mind. With pack in one hand, and spear (which he did not plan to lethally use of course) in the other, he and his Jamouran translator left to dive into the fog. Hopefully, they would produce a few survivors.

Postby Conar on July 3rd, 2012, 7:18 pm

The second day of Summer, 512AV

Conar found himself one morning wandering about near the base camp. He had known about the fog that was turning people and creature alike feral, but until now he had not even thought about getting involved. It was not really the rewards offered that attracted the young Kelvic, but the hunt. He had never hunted for the sake of capture, until now he had always killed his prey. He wandered toward Centroc's Supplies, slinking along in a feline nature.

Once he saw that the man was without customer Conar approached Centroc and began, "Hello I heard that you had supplies for capturing those afflicted by this terrible fog." After looking through the wares Conar had decided on what he wanted besides the free pack of supplies. "Alright I will take that free pack and six of those spears and one of those slings." Conar paid the man nine gm and was on his way in hopes of lucky hunting.
