First Impressions (Tock)

Syel flinched as the room filled with light suddenly. When he looked around for the source of this newfound illumination, he discovered that the ceiling of his prison was not really a ceiling. It turned out to be a hinged lid that had swung open to reveal the room he had been previously tortured in. Looking into the container where the Pycon was imprisoned was the madwoman. The sight sent a thrill of fear coursing through Syel's body as flashbacks of the events of the past day bombarded his mind. The woman was holding several books, one in each hand and a third on that wooden hand she always kept with her.

Before he could speak, the woman said, "Ya know 'ere's done been a 'ole race o' ya? Says 'ere you's is called 'Pycons.' Didja knew 'at?" How could he not know that he was a Pycon? Syel nodded slowly, his expression indicating that the woman had just told him that the sun was yellow or that the sky was blue. "Yes..." He says carefully and cautiously. A wrong answer might get him tortured again, "There are lots of us."

First Impressions (Tock)

Postby Minerva Agatha Zipporah on July 4th, 2012, 2:14 am

Tock frowned at the little clay man... 'Pycon.' He was giving her that look. The one people gave her when they thought she was crazy. She hated that look. Almost as much as she hated the question, 'What are you doing?'

She shook one of the books at him and said, "Oy, dun cop no attitude what wit' me, Clay Man. Ain't done like I's ever saw one 'fore. 'Scuse me what fer thinkin' you's one o' a kind, aye? Some people might done take 'at fer a compliment, aye?"

She fished him out of the box and set him on the table, studying him curiously. "'Ow much can ya done talk?" she asked him. "Figgers what fer ya can't be too smart, what cause ya ain't done said nothin' when I were playin' wit'cha." Well, he might have said, 'Stop,' or, 'Let me go,' but other than that, he had been mostly quiet. "But she says 'ere," she raised one of the books, "what as yer s'posed ya done been pretty smart. But is ya people smart, o' artificial smart, like my baby?" Smart enough to know she was talking about him, Handy waved. But he wasn't smart enough to realize doing so would make him drop the book, and it fell on the table. He scrambled for it, struggling to get it back open again. Tock sighed at him and said, "Oy, ya done lost Mommy's page, baby..." Handy couldn't understand enough to know what page to turn back to. He had the basic ability to hold the books and turn the pages, but he wasn't smart enough to understand numbers, nor to read.

"Oy, dun cop no attitude what wit' me, Clay Man. Ain't done like I's ever saw one 'fore. 'Scuse me what fer thinkin' you's one o' a kind, aye? Some people might done take 'at fer a compliment, aye?" The woman snapped at him as she waved a book menacingly. For a moment, Syel was afraid she would lose her temper again and crush him like a bug under that mass of paper. Fortunately, she merely grabbed him and pulled him up onto the table he had recently been tortured on. After standing up straight, he brushed himself clean of unseen dust as the woman continued her lecture, "'Ow much can ya done talk? Figgers what fer ya can't be too smart, what cause ya ain't done said nothin' when I were playin' wit'cha." Syel was about to speak when she abruptly cut him off by raising a book up and continuing on before he could get a word in, "But she says 'ere what as yer s'posed ya done been pretty smart. But is ya people smart, o' artificial smart, like my baby?"

As she said those words, the woman's wooden hand...thing dropped her book to wave. It scrambled in an attempt to regain the book while the woman admonished it in an oddly gentle way. While she was doing this, Syel replied, "I can talk all I want to, you just shoved little bits of me in my mouth whenever I did!" He says with a flare of anger, "My name is Syel, not 'Clay Man', and I'm just as smart as you are! Smarter, even! I never cut somebody up by 'playing with them'!" He seethed after speaking, pacing about the table. He was fully ready for her to try to punish him for his words, and at the first sign of menacing movement on her part, he would do his best to put his training to good use.

Tock snorted and laughed when her Clay Man protested that he was smarter than her. "Aye, sure ya is!" she said with a laugh. "Yer 'ead's too dang small ta 'old all my brains, mate! I's a bloody genius, I is!" She sat up a little straighter with pride, and no small bit of smugness.

"An' quitcher dang bitchin'," she added. "Ain't like I done 'urt ya o' nothin'! Ya ain't gots no flesh an' blood in 'ere, an' ya still gots all yer bits attached, so dun go actin' like what it done 'urt o' nothin'. Now," she propped the books open on either side of Syel, "done says 'ere what as ya can grows me another one o' ya, aye?" She tapped on an image of a pregnant Pycon, sketched on the pages of the book. "I done wants me another one. What's I done gotta does what fer ta get one? Magic somethin' up, o' git'cha some clay an' 'as ya..." she waved her hands vaguely towards his groin area, "ya know..."

She wanted to know how to duplicate the clay man, in case she really did break him. Plus, she was imagining all the things she could do by using this substance to make an Animation. The possibilities were endless, and she wanted to explore them fully. Still unconvinced that the clay man was quite on the same level as her as a person, she was considering duplicating him the way the owner of a prized breed of dog would breed pedigree pups. Either that, or studying enough Alchemy to learn how to make one via the original magical process, but if the books were accurate, they had been originally made by a master. It would take a damn long time for her to reach that level of skill, and breeding the Pycon seemed like a better idea.

Unless he could somehow convince her that he was more than a 'pet'.

OOCSorry about the slow response time, I had a busy couple of days.

Syel glared at the woman as she laughed mockingly at him, saying, "Aye, sure ya is! Yer 'ead's too dang small ta 'old all my brains, mate! I's a bloody genius, I is!" The arrogant woman stood up a little straighter, as if this statement somehow made her better than he was! It infuriated him that the woman just assumed that she was so much more intelligent than he was without even knowing him! He was certain that the woman knew at least some things he didn't--how else could she have a wooden hand like that one on her hip?--but she didn't have to be so high and mighty about it!

"An' quitcher dang bitchin'," she added right as Syel was about to object to her assumption of his intelligence, "Ain't like I done 'urt ya o' nothin'! Magic somethin' up, o' git'cha some clay an' 'as ya..." she waved her hands vaguely towards his groin area, "ya know..." Had Syel been capable of it, he surely would have blushed a deep scarlet red. Did that woman just suggest that he just bear a child on a woman so she could see another one? This deeply offended Syel and he shook his head firmly, "No!" He says in a thoroughly embarrassed voice, "I will not do that for you! Even if I could, it takes a man and a woman, just like for everyone else."

Knowing the woman would speak again soon, Syel immediately continued onwards in his monologue, "And all that cutting you did on me did hurt! It was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life!" He said in a voice filled with conviction and anger, "Next time you want to test something, make sure it can't feel anything!" He backed away from the woman, wanting to get out of her reach in case she should decide to do more testing. If he were grabbed at, he decided, he would roll out of the way and find a way to cling onto her somehow.

First Impressions (Tock)

Tock tilted her head to the side, peering at the clay man's groin area. "Man an' a woman?" she asked, scratching her head. "Butcha ain't got no... y'know," she gestured vaguely between his legs. "'Ow's ya done s'posed ta, y'know, does a girl what wit'out a willie?" She frowned, wondering if he could just 'grow' one...

She shut her book with a pout, not understanding enough about Pycon anatomy to know what it would take to grow herself another one. Frankly, she wasn't entirely sure how humans did that, having never actually seen a naked man before. She had an... idea how it worked, and was pretty sure she knew what the physical, anatomical requirements were. But that was a far cry from having actually experienced it.

She frowned at the clay man as he started going on and on about the pain. She arched an eyebrow curiously, thinking it over. "Does 'is 'urt?" she asked, shoving her finger into his belly roughly. "Clay shouldn't what feels no pain. Ya ain't got no blood o' nothin'..." She thought it over, looking the clay man over from side to side, pondering how he could feel pain.

After a long moment's thought, she asked him, "Does it 'urt what when ya changes yer own shape?" He had shifted himself voluntarily earlier, and that hadn't seemed to cause him any pain. This required an experiment. She held a small strip of wood above his head, just high enough that he would need to stretch his arm and increase its length in order to reach it. "Reach up 'ere an' git this," she ordered him. "An' 'en tell me if'n she 'urts, aye?" If he was controlling his own shapechanging, she didn't think it would make any sense for the process to hurt. She wanted to see if he could stretch his own arm without pain, or whether it only hurt when he was reshaped by an outside force.

Woah, Tock. That was slightly disturbing, and very amusing. You just tortured a poor little Pycon! ;) If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me!
