Timestamp: 34th of Summer 512 AV
Where: Inclement Weather
Who: Euthisa, Aela, Vaas, Open

Tonight was the night. It'd sadly been several weeks since Euthisa last spent time with Aela, Vaas, and Avon, but when they had last entertained one another, they'd planned to get together again to have a night of fun, dancing, drinking, and happiness. Lives had been busy of course, postponing the group's endeavors, but finally, they'd caught a break. They agreed to meet one another at Inclement Weather after the sun went down this evening. Euthisa's day had dragged on and on, her anticipation for the night's events getting the better of her. She got through work at the library with complete ease, as always, but her mind was constantly in another place. Work there was finished and she rushed home to get ready for Inclement Weather, knowing full well she would get ready too quickly, and still have to sit and wait.

Her brain finally catching up with her emotions, Euthisa instead went home, and rather than start getting ready, played some more of her violin. She was practicing a new song, and had only learned about half of it fluently thus far. She was determined to learn it as soon as she could, for she loved the feeling of accomplishment and loved to show off new things she'd learned to do. A couple of hours were spent on this task, and then Euthisa called it a night for the violin. At last, it was time to get ready for the night out. She bathed and dressed, making sure her hair was down and flowing, all braids removed, bland but beautiful in the night's moonlight illumination. Then she set out and headed for Inclement Weather, eager for the peaceful walk in the crisp night air.

Eventually coming to a halt in her pace, racing thoughts finally ceasing, Euthisa stood before the entrance to Inclement Weather. This was her first time here and she only knew its location from the swirl of stories she often heard. This place was carved deep into the mountain side long ago, an extra addition after the city was originally built. She headed inside to find a bar on either side of the entrance into the oddly shaped club. Euthisa personally enjoyed the jagged shape and texture of the walls. It was different, and she hated tradition. The walls were randomly adorned with small alcoves for sitting and privacy, and small lighted fixtures were placed in many of the small holes in the walls. There were tables scattered about as well as larger alcoves built specifically for the musicians that entertained the club. In her opinion, the best part about Inclement Weather was the dance floor. Lit warmly from the many pocket lights, the center remained darker and mysterious, something that was personally alluring to Euthisa.

Music was in abundance of course, and the place hosted a large number of attendants tonight. A small sign was posted near the door reading "10th, 20th, 30th, etc of Summer - Inclement Weather presents: The "I'm so hot" themed Summer Revelry Event". Giddy laughter erupted from within Euthisa. Her excitement bubbled out of her, anticipation of seeing her friends, and perhaps meeting a few more was always a warming thought for her. She enjoyed company and friendships. They helped keep her sane. Not sure if she wanted to meander around and see if her friends were here yet or sit at the bar to sip on a drink and wait, Euthisa could already feel her body reacting to the music. Goosebumps arose on her arms and her hips twitched back and forth with the beat. Deciding to sit at the bar, Euthisa grabbed a stool, placed herself upon it, and ordered a drink of whatever the night's special was. It arrived moments later, Euthisa paid the bartender, and sat quietly to sip on it, still twitching even in her seat to the music of the night.

Paces of the Night (Vaas, Aela, Open)

Postby Vaas on July 4th, 2012, 9:58 pm

Feeling the world has finally going his way this season, Vaas walks over to his dresser and grabs the silk green ribbon. He ties his hair back in a pony tail. A hair style,he only wears during special occasions like this one. After getting back from camping with Aela, Vaas received a invitation under his door from Euthisa to meet them all at the Inclement Weather for a night of drinking and fellowship. Even though Aela might be sick of him from the camping trip days earlier, Vaas was eager to see Euthisa and Avon tonight. He is eager to catch up with both of them, and since he is a hopeless romantic see if they made a connection after that night.Vaas decides to leave his backpack, grabs his staff by the door, and makes his way to the night club.

When Vaas arrives at the Inclement Weather, he smiles to himself when he hears the music through the doors. He opens the door and a rush of sound surrounds him. He smiles to himself as he adsorbs the sounds and smells of the club. He makes his way into the building gently letting his staff lead his way through the growing crowd. He is approached by a young man with a proposition, the young man says to him, “Hey man would you like to warp your mind. Only five pinions to make this a night you will never forget.” Vaas turns knowing this man was a drug dealer “accidentally” hits the dealer in the leg, and says with a polite smile, “My mind is already warped. I sure your assistance will not be needed.” Vaas walks passed the man hitting him with his staff as he walks pass him. He stops and says without turning around to the dealer, “Sorry friend.”

He makes his way to the crowd, and he hears a woman talking to her friend. Vaas stops and waits till she is done talking before interrupting them. When they are done talking, Vaas says to them with a smile, “Ladies can either you direct me to the bar?” One of the woman says sweetly to him noticing his cloudy eyes, “Well just go straight ten feet, turn left, and walk about fifteen feet till you reach the counter. Good luck cutie.” Vaas smiles warmly at the woman and makes his way to the bar. When he reaches the bar, he finds a open stood and climbs into it. While Vaas is sitting at the bar, Vaas hears a man's voice asking him, “What do you need, friend?” Vaas decides to keep his drinking simple for now. He looks up at the direction of the bartenders voice and says loudly to him, so he can hear over the crowd, “Do you have any summer shady in stock.” The bartenders laughs at him and says, “Of course coming right up.” Vaas starts drumming on his leg to the bass line of the music while he waits for his drink and any signs of his friends.

Paces of the Night (Vaas, Aela, Open)

It had been a long, hot, and hard day for the little glass blower. Working with Perith was always a chore, but today they had fought and it was big. Much bigger than their normal disagreements. Aela's days off had been full of adventures leading her all around Wind Reach and beyond. She had meet new and interesting people and even found strange creatures affected by the deji storm in the wild. Her world had been changed forever and she knew it. There was so much in the ever-changing world and she would never be able to see it from the shelter of the hot shop. This new epiphany made her even more determined to become an Endal. With a Wind Eagle she could easily explore the wilds, even to the far reaches of the Unforgiving.

Aela was completely enamored with the new possibilities and it affected her concentration with her work and Perith saw this. So they fought, loudly and neither of them backing down. Peith took the same stance that he always had. He had said many times that she was a gifted glass blower and he thought that it was a waste of her skill to abandon them for a dream that just wasn't meant to be. Aela saw it very differently and refused to give up on what she wanted most, no matter how much her mentor protested. So they fought, the argument lasting a few chimes and ended with Aela storming out.

She was frustrated, angry, and even a little confused. She had to leave, there was no other choice since they both needed to cool off and Perith still had work to do. Aela headed back to her room to relax. She remembered her promise to meet her friends at the Inclement Weather and thought for a moment about not going. Laying back on her bed, her emerald green eyes shined a glint of gold from the lantern on the wall beside her bed. Suddenly she sat up, her heart still thumbing aggressively and her blood almost a boil. There was no way she could rest now, she had to get out and let off the steam first. She quickly removed her clothing an dressed herself in a fresh mid-night, blue bryda and a tightly fitting sky-blue vinati top. Moving the beaded string that held her hair into a tail at the back of her head, Aela fluffed her hair and combed it out to a nicer look.

Once she was ready, Aela left her room and headed to the club. She hadn't been to the place very often but remembered the location and made her way toward it in a fast pace. The moon was full that night yet it's fluorescence light had no affect on her. Once she made it to the club, she pushed open the door and stepped inside. The music was loud, thumping and vibrated off the walls. It was just what she needed to drown out the screams in her head. She moved into the crowd, slipping past the mass of bodies to a small opening and started to dance. Aela felt good, and pumped up as the youth would say. She usually let off steam at the archery range but this was proving to be just as effective.

Aela moved her slender body to the sound of the music. Her hips instinctively rocked and swayed to the beat and she moved her arms about while swinging her head back. As she looked around, she could just barely make out others watching her. Some appeared a bit excited while others possibly jealous. But she didn't care about them, or anything else at the moment, she just wanted to dance. Aela closed her eyes, removing the surrounding crowd from her, and continued to dance. The crowd around her seem to grow and the heat from the bodies told as much. If anyone was dancing against her, she didn't notice as she continued to dance in her own world.

Aela through her arms up and wiggled her hips more, her eyes still closed as she moved her body allowing the music to consume her. Once she had danced away her frustration, Aela found herself longing for a cool drink. She moved through the crowd again, her tiny frame being rocked and even grind against as she pushed through them. Once she was clear of them with the bar well in sight, she noticed Euthisa having a drink. Her lips curved upward into a smirk and she quickly moved up to her from behind, the loudness of the music made it very easy, and she gently placed her hands over the woman's eyes while bringing her lips to her ear as she spoke.

Her drink was delicious. It was blended, so no chunky ice in the way, and tasted of several different fruits. The different colors bouncing about in the club made it impossible to see what the color of her drink was, but Euthisa was unaffected by this. The drink cooled her body in the warm sticky air of the club and she was content with that. She eyed the people nearest her, not being able to make out any descriptions of anyone further away than that in the darkness. She figured when she finished her drink, she'd walk around and look for her friends. For now though, her contentment lay within sipping on a cool drink and chair dancing to the music surrounding her. Euthisa hoped Avon would make it out there tonight, but if not, his loss. There were plenty of cute guys in the club tonight, and Euthisa wanted, needed, a night to let loose and just have tons of fun. That meant all kinds of things.

Nearing the end of her drink, Euthisa began to gather herself to head off into the mass of people when suddenly a set of warm hands covered her eyes from behind her. A soft but familiar voice whispered in her ear, the feeling of her breath sending shivers down Euthisa's spine. She quivered from the tingling sensation and spun to face her companion. "Why yes, I do happen to be looking for someone. She's a wonderful Inartan huntress who's quirky fun to hang out with. Supposed to be one of my," Euthisa paused to put on a playful smile, "-dates- tonight. Piercing green eyes give her away, you can't miss her... Have you seen her around here?" Rising from her stool, Euthisa happily threw her arms around Aela, blessed to be graced with her company tonight. With her there, Euthisa had no doubts whatsoever that they were in for one outrageously fun night. One she figured they both desperately needed.

"Have you seen Vaas? Or looked for him yet?"

"Well she sounds like an awesome person to hang out with. But I can hang with you until she comes." Aela giggled and happily embraced Euthisa as she stood to hug her. It had been a long time since she had saw her friend, more so than seeing Vaas and she knew they had a lot to catch up on. There was so much she wanted to tell her but she figured that now wasn't the time for talk. "I haven't seen him yet, or Avon. Let's look around."

Aela winked towards her and gently took her hand into her own before starting off into the crowd. The floor was packed and clearly more people had come in since she first arrived as it was harder to move into the crowd now. Still Aela pushed on, turning her slender body to try and squeeze between the throngs of people littering the dance floor. As she continued to move, pushing through the mass of sweaty bodies, Aela suddenly felt her hand squeezed and her arm almost ripped off. Turning back to look behind her, she saw the bewildered look on Euthisa's face as a tall burly woman was trying to dance against her. Aela quickly moved in and pulling her friend away from the woman while trying not to look back or laugh too loudly.

Once they had made their way into the supposed middle of the crowd, Aela started to wonder if Vaas would even be in the crowd anywhere.
"Follow the music..." Aela moved a bit slower as she looked around before making a half circle and pushing through the crowd again. The dance floor was hot in more than one way, and it brought a hard blush to the little woman's face as they were both being grind against from both sides. "Goddess...this is insane.."

Once they were free of the hoard of fleshy bodies, Aela looked to Euthisa and couldn't help but to laugh imagining that Euthisa could see the red in her cheeks as well as she saw it in hers. "Have you talked to them lately?" She asked still looking around for either of the guys. Finally she spotted Vaas hunched over at the bar. She pointed in his direction for her friend to notice him before guiding her over. Aela winked towards Euthisa, a wicked smirk forming at the corner of her lips as she slowly crept up behind him. She placed a hand gently on both shoulders and leaned in, her lips almost touching his ear as she spoke. "Your dates are here."

Paces of the Night (Vaas, Aela, Open)

Postby Vaas on July 6th, 2012, 2:23 am

While Vaas is sitting at the bar, he hears the bartender come over and set down his drink. Vaas stops his leg drumming and turns to the bartender with a smile and says to him, “It busy tonight isn't it.” The bartender smirks at the blind man noticing his eyes, “Yes, it been busy all summer. I think the stress of last spring is getting to everyone. People just need to relax and unwind. By the way, my name is Tom.” Vaas pats around the counter for his drink until he finds the cool glass. He picks it up and takes a sip of his beer. He sets down the glass and says to Tom, “The name is Vaas just another layabout musician in Wind Reach.” Tom laughs at his joke and asks the musician, “What do you play Vaas?” Vaas takes another drink and starts bobbing his head a little to the music, “I sing and play the flute. Tom, I really need to learn how to play a instrument that I can play and sing at the same time.”

Tom mixes another drink and slides it down the bar to waitress. She picks it up and walks away. Tom listening to the young blind man smirks and says loudly to Vaas over the heavy drum solo, “Learn to play the drums or guitar, Vaas. Maybe one day when your good enough, I'll have you play for the crowd.” Vaas brings the beer to his lips and takes another drink. He starts envisioning himself up on stage playing his guitar. His long hair all sweaty as he sings for the Inclement Weather. His smile widens as he envisions the crowd cheering his name when he finishes a song. He looks up towards the voice of Tom and says before sipping his beer, “I'll hold you to it Tom. One day I'll play for the club.” Tom smiles at the Vaas and says to him, “Well maybe when your ready. We will try out your singing and start from there.” If Vaas eyes could brighten, they would be shining right now.

Vaas decides to ask Tom, “So I am looking for a pair of girls and guy. I am not sure if you know their names of Aela, Euthisa, and Avon.” Tom thinks to himself for a moment and shakes his head, “No are they regulars to the club?” Vaas thinks for a moment trying to figure out if they would be the type of people to frequent the club. Euthisa the librarian. Aela the hunter and glassblower, and Avon the foreigner. Before Vaas can answer his question. Tom asks another question,“What do they look like?” If Vaas could stare at Tom, he would at the silliness of his question. Anyways, Vaas says with a laugh deciding to be clever, “Well both the girls have red hair...” He snickers in his head and continues his descriptions of his friends, “And Avon has purple hair and a tail.” Tom just blinks at his descriptions of his friends and laughs at his lack attention to details. He forgot the young man was blind and says to Vaas, “I believe the women you are looking for have red hair since this is Wind Reach. On the other hand, the man seems kind of far fetched unless he is a Kelvic, but he would have to come into the club in animal form first.” Tom stop train of thought and says to Vaas with a laugh, “I will keep a look out for you friends, Vaas.” With that Tom walks to the other end of bar. Vaas just sits their listening to the music and drinking his beer.

Tom smiles at Vaas from the other side of bar when two pretty women walk up behind him. The smaller girl walks up Vaas and puts both hands on his shoulders, she leans into him, and whispers something into his ears. Tom can help, but laugh out loud when he sees the young man literally shiver as the young woman touches him. Tom turns to Tessa and says to her, "Remember when we were young Tessa?" Tessa smiles and hands him a glass, "Yes. Now get to work, Tom."

"Priskil why did I have to shiver just than?" Vaas thinks to himself and turns around in his seat and says to his two lady friends with a warm smile, "Priskil, I must be a lucky man tonight. What are you two ladies drinking tonight? I'll buy this round."

Paces of the Night (Vaas, Aela, Open)

Giggling to herself, Euthisa followed behind Aela as she led her through the crowd, hands clasped tightly together. Euthisa had failed to notice thus far exactly how many people had shown up tonight, and maneuvering was almost impossible. The music pumped and the bodies throbbed around them. The duo was almost separated by a woman trying to grind against Euthisa. They managed to keep contact and push on though, and Euthisa made a mental note that when they did start dancing, to stay near the outside edge of the dance floor, for their own safety. At least until it started to die down a bit.

They eventually reached what was supposed to be the center of the dance floor, and it was elbow to elbow and then some there. Neither of them had seen Vaas yet, and Euthisa started to wonder if he'd even be on the dance floor. Before she could say anything, Aela tugged her another direction and doing the best she could not to knock anyone over or trip over anyone, Euthisa followed. They managed to reach the edge of the crowd and break free of the sweaty bodies. Their faces were both red and Euthisa's clothes clung to her form from sweat, and they hadn't even started dancing yet. Aela asked her if she'd talked to either of the guys lately, and before she could answer her, Aela spotted Vaas and headed that direction. A wicked smirk adorned Aela's face as she snuck up behind Vaas and whispered in his ear much the same as she'd done to Euthisa. Another giggle escaped her lips when Vaas jumped in surprise. Poor guy probably jumped a lot. She knew she would if she couldn't see anything.

Vaas commented on being a lucky man this night, something that brought a smile to Euthisa's lips, and offered to buy them a round at the bar. "I had the special earlier. I'm up for trying something else though. Never been here before so I have no idea what I like, haha." Turning in place, Euthisa scanned the crowd as far as she could see in search of Avon. It seemed as though none of them had heard from him lately, or seen him around, something was a bit upsetting for Euthisa. She'd really liked hanging out with him and was very hopeful that he'd show up tonight, but it didn't appear like that was happening. She scanned the crowd again, still not seeing him anywhere, and decided to forget about it. She refused to let it ruin her night, and it was just getting started.

Turning back to her friends, she lightened her mood. "Let's get our drinks, down them, and get out on that floor!!! I'm ready to party it up!!!"

Aela giggled and loudly at the fact that Vaas had jumped about so. She could tell that she had surprised Euthisa's also but the effect wasn't the same. She folded her arms over her chest as he turned around and realized who they were. "Were you waiting for someone else?" She enjoyed teasing him, knowing that he couldn't hide his emotions like others. As she looked told the bar, she noticed the bartender staring in their direction was a interesting look on his face. Aela wasn't sure what to make of it but decided not to bother to ask.

Instead she turned back to her friends when they mentioned getting a drink, with her arms still folded she leaned over to Vaas and spoke a bit too loudly in his face. "You owe me a drink." Taking a seat at the bar she looked to Euthisa when she mentioned that she had already tried a drink, and she remembered that she did see her with a cup with she first approached her. Although Aela had been there before, she had never tried any of their drinks or the drugs that people were passing about. She had no interest in taking any drugs but she had heard that the drinks were really good.

"You know, I have never had a drink before, I mean ever."

She smiled looking to them both as she leaned up and started to slam her open palm against the bar-top to get the bartender's attention. Her efforts were in vain, and the little sound that her small hand made was easily drowned out by the music. "Help me out guys." Looking to Euthisa and grabbing Vaas's hand, she started to slam his and her hand against the bar-top, until he caught on and could do it himself. This time it worked and as the bartender noticed them, he waved a hand up to let them know that he'd be there in a few ticks.

Aela giggled more, thinking that they must have looked rather silly pounding on the bar-top and wondered if the bartender thought that they already had too much to drink. While they waited for him to slowly make his way over. She figured that they could talk a little before they resumed their party. She thought, but decided not to ask about Avon anymore. Whether he and Euthisa had went their separate ways or if he had simply vanished she didn't know. But she didn't want to ruin her friend's night on the town.

"So what have you too been up too?"

It was a much safer way to start the conversation. If Euthisa still did have unresolved issues, she wouldn't feel compelled to talk about them and could bring it up later if she chose too. Aela looked back to Vaas again, wondering what mischief he had gotten into lately. Rumor around town was that he had been seeing Reila, or at least he was seen more than once being intimate with her in public. Aela was a little surprised that Vaas would act that way, but she could see why he liked Reila, most of the guys in the city thought she was hot. However, Aela was also aware about the way a woman's mind worked, and if Vaas was seeing her, then she wondered if he had told Reila about the camping trip that he took her on.

"Oh, here comes the bartender, what are we getting?"

Paces of the Night (Vaas, Aela, Open)

Vaas smiles when he hears Euthisa enthusiasm for drinking and parting totally shattering his stereotypes of librarians. He decides to get into the spirit and down his beer in one gulp. He slams the beer down in victory over his alcoholic beverage. After he is done, he turns back to Aela shouting over the crowd in his face that he owes her a drink. He smirks and leans forward and teases to Aela,“I thought you owed me a drink?” He winks at her and says loudly to her with a grin, “I guess I have no choice...Do I?” After saying that Aela takes his hand and starts banging on the counter for the bartender Tom demanding their drinks. Vaas laughs out loud and says to Euthisa, “How many did she have already, Euthisa?” Vaas smile widens as he hears this is Aela first time drinking. Vaas can't say he is a veteran either at drinking, but he decides says jokingly to Aela over the music, “Take it slow Aela or you might find yourself singing to wind eagles before long.”

Vaas turns back to Euthisa and says to her loudly, “We need to get together sometimes and jam out on our instruments sometimes, Euthisa.” He stands up and overs Euthisa his chair and says to her, “I'll stand till we down our drinks ok. Take a seat Euthisa. I'll flag down Tom.” Vaas walks to the counter and says loudly to Tom, “Can I order some drinks for my friends?” Busy with another customer, Tom hears Vaas and mention something to the pretty older woman behind the bar. The pretty redhead walks over to the three smiles at them and says jokingly to Vaas, “I see you found your redheads Vaas, so where is the guy with purple hair and the tail?” She looks around them and asks Aela and Euthisa, “What can I get you both? My name is Tessa.”

Vaas says to Tessa, “Ok, I'll take another summer shanty, and also I would like to order three shots of brandy.” He nods and smiles impishly to Euthisa and Aela. He lets them order their drinks and says to them when they are finished ordering their drinks, “I figure we'll start this night off with a bang!!” He laughs and starts bobbing his head to the music.

Paces of the Night (Vaas, Aela, Open)

A smile adorns Euthisa's face watching Aela and Vaas tease each other. They were both truly unique in their own ways and she very much enjoyed that fact. It meant they were both original individuals, and weren't results of culture timestamped and molded into a person. People changed so much about themselves simply because culture demanded it, or everyone else was doing it and the deep-rooted need to belong, to fit in, to blend in, pushed them to change, or worse, for sometimes even lesser reasons. This fact of life irked Euthisa to no extent. Trying to be someone or something else is a pure waste of the person you already are and were born to be. If you're different, who cares? Why would anyone want to be just like everyone else? That would get repetitive and boring. Originality is the perfect tangy spice added into life's cooking pot.

Aela mentioned it was her first time drinking, ever, and while this didn't entirely surprise Euthisa, she hadn't quite expected that either. Thinking of her earlier drink, she decided to suggest it to Aela before the bartender asked what she wanted. "You know that special I had earlier would suit you well I think, Aela. Not to harsh to start out on, particularly when the night is young and it's your first time drinking." Aela chose to make small talk while waiting for the bartender, asking simply what everyone's been up to lately. She wasn't sure if Aela had caught on that Avon was a sensitive subject for Euthisa or not, but Euthisa shot her a warm smile in gratitude for avoiding that subject. Before she could answer her though, the woman barkeep strode over, introducing herself and asking what they wanted to drink.

"Hi Tessa. I'm Euthisa. I'll have a Fuzzy Squirrel please." Aela ordered her own drink and after is when Euthisa started off answering her question of recent activities. "I've been up to the same old same old lately. Working and practicing the violin in my free time. A little archery here and there, but more of my time has been spent with work and fiddling. Working on learning a new song right now. Got about half of it down fluently so far. Vaas, I'd love to meet up with you one of these days and play together." Taking the seat he offered her, she continued. "Thank you, Vaas. But that's really all that's been going on with me lately. What about you guys?"

Just then, the barkeep returned with their drinks, setting them down in front of them. Euthisa looked down at her drink, marveling in the sea green color if it, lime and almond garnish on the side, and it looked absolutely delicious. Not touching it just yet though, she waited for her friends to grab their drinks so she could make a toast. Once they did, Euthisa held her drink out in front of her, between them. "To new friends, new experiences, and the best of times!"
