Skyglow Arvintas Arvintas are the sleeping and living quarters of the Vantha Holds. Each Arvinta consists of a communal meeting space and private rooms for the couples and adults. Children sleep in a shared room adjacent to their parents until their thirteenth birthday when they are deemed old enough for their own room. Each of Skyglow’s arvintas are situated along the exterior of the Hold and their common rooms have one wall made entirely of glass so the Vantha can always have access to the aurora for inspiration. The meeting space is also usually filled with the art of its residents, particularly of its children residents. The Skyglow love to show off the budding talents of their children. Skyglow private rooms are also filled with their art. Once a child is old enough to have his own room he begins displaying his work that does not get accepted for use elsewhere. Some older Skyglows will have decades worth of art displayed in their rooms and often they love to discuss the progression of skill. Upon marriage, Skyglow couples are given a bed frame with smooth sections on the head- and footboards. The couple will paint an image or scene on the smooth sections with their combined skill to represent their new unity. This tradition is upheld even when someone from outside of the Hold marries in and may not possess many artistic skills. Often this event will be used as excellent storytelling material for the Vantha who love to recount the early days of their marriage. Living Expenses : Living in an arvinta incurs common living expenses. If you are not a Vantha you must be invited by one in order to live here.
