Iosha was happy that Aidara and Keah were both excited over Iosha's ideas for the Infirmary. Even though, she didn't have much hands on experience in medicine. In her mind, she was a healer chosen by Rak' Keli, so she would do her best to fulfill the whim of her goddess to the best of her ability. Iosha smiled up at Aidara and said, “Aidara if you need my help talking to the Valintar about the ideas for the Infirmary and the hydroponic farm, Let me know, OK.” Iosha knew she was going to have a lot of work to do in the spring with planting season starting, and in the summertime, she will have to spend time looking for herb plant needed for farm. She was going to have to ask Aidara's input into the type of herbs needed for the Infirmary. Gardening was a hobby for Iosha and her mother in Mura, but in Wind Reach, she could make a career out of it. Of course, medicine will always take precedence over the hydroponic farms. At least Iosha had a abundance of time to do what she wanted to do in Wind Reach. When Aidara welcomed her to the infirmary, Iosha had to fight the urge to jump out of her chair and do a victory dance. Instead, she just sipped her tea and said with a twinkle in her eyes, “I promise you both. I will not let you down.” Iosha figured she hold off until she made it to her apartment to do her victory dance. She looked around the Infirmary to get a better look at her new work area. Suddenly, she felt a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she was forgetting something important. She set down the tea on the table, looked at Keah, and asked softly, “I need to talk to Aidara alone for a minute or two Keah.” The young woman looked at Iosha, nodded with a smile, and went back to her duties. When both of them were alone, Iosha looked at Aidara with a sad smile on her face. When Iosha told people, she was able to see how people have died. Most people would wonder if she was insane, and at times, Iosha wished insanity could explain the reason for her visions. She looked at Aidara and said softly, “Remember I told you about my vision when I first arrived at the Infirmary. Well, I wanted to tell you that I have a message for you from a Dek. You tried to save on that very door step two days after the Djed Storm hit Wind Reach.” She thought about it for a moment and remembered vividly the message he wanted to tell Aidara. Iosha took a deep breath and started to speak, “The man you tried saved was named Faric, and he wanted me to tell you that he knew you did your best to save him. Faric spoke very high of you Addy, and he said to me that he had never known a Endal to be as kind and caring as you.” Iosha wiped a tear from her eyes and continued, “He told me...it wasn't your fault he died. Priskil his goddess just called him home.” Iosha looked at the small healer for a moment, and she said softly to her, “I am lucky to learn medicine from you Aidara because I think I want to be the healer that you strive to be.” Iosha looked at the door for a moment, looked back at Aidara and said, “Well.. I will see you tomorrow, Addy. I promise you. I will not be late.” Iosha smiled warmly at the other healer and left the infirmary. |
