Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

43rd Day of Winter,

The sun was finally beginning to lower itself once again for the day, allowing the small kelvic girl to turn her back to it and see clearly once more. She may be up in the hours of the sun, but it was still something that was uncomfortable to her, and made it difficult to see. Before her was the city of Mura, a grand city, build with stones of white, and several tints of light colors such as pink and lavender. These buildings where not exactly tall, but they were connected through a strange series of streets that only Mura offered to its' walkers. Navigating through the city would always be difficult for those that did not walk them each day, even for Keyta they were still strange; but due to how often she has flown over this city, she knew its' basics. The place she stood offered mostly foods and drinks, some places had rooms to offer for sleep, as it was the front of the city, the first place many travelers would see. The core of the city offered the largest of variety, ranging from medicines to gifts to daily needs like soaps. Behind everything else was where the citizens, and those whom stay on the island for long periods of time, get to know best. There, is where buildings that hold furniture, clothing, paints, herbs, and even some various shells. The other side of the city, is where Keyta needed to visit.

Keyta was still wearing her clothing from Ravok on most days when she wasn't borrowing something from Blythe. Her dark tunic with her orange skirt matched up with a hooded cloak of orange and black, along with sleeves and stockings to go with it all. Even her shoes where a solid black, completing the outfit, and surely looking like someone of importance to a person in Ravok. But here in Mura, she stood out more so than she use to, and the clothes made her feel dirty, memories of the dark city, never allowing her to move on. Keyta was tempted to discard the clothes right there on the streets, but her better judgement forced her to rethink this as the women of this island tend to react funny to naked people, even children. With a solid goal in mind, and a wishful thought that the store would have more to offer than just white clothing, Keyta set off to march toward the opposite side of the city.

Nira’lia hadn’t been in Mura for many days, and she was still getting used to it. There were many places she hadn’t been to, and she often found herself stopping to simply marvel at its beauty. It was so different from the few cities she had seen in the past. The fact that a large part of it was submerged in the sea made her feel even better.

Currently, she didn’t really have a destination in mind. Beside her was Ball, who seemed to like following her around. It didn’t matter though; it felt good to have a friend around.

“Look, Ball.”

A thin finger pointed at a figure that was ahead of them. If Nira’lia described Mura, she would say the buildings looked like massive shells. Its colors were pale and elegant. And a girl who walked around in bright orange and black stood out significantly.

It was just a strange contrast, one that caught her eyes.

“It’s like having a piece of carrot on a silver plate…” said Nira’lia with a soft giggle.

It wasn’t that she thought it was ugly or funny. It was just a curious sight, and greatly different from the peaceful colors that most of her sisters chose to wear. Her voice was low and she assumed that only Ball could hear her—she had no intention of being rude.

Postby Ball on January 15th, 2013, 1:28 pm

Ball followed her finger pointing as she explained what she thought it looked like. Orange clothing? Here? Ball couldn't quite get what she meant by a carrot on a plate, but her giggling prompted him to smile a bit. If Nira caught sight of his current appearance she obviously didn't say anything.

Ball left his trust mount at the inn for a bit and instead found himself walking beside her, yes walking... On four tentacle-shaped appendages that looked scarily enough like the Lagool's tentacles that lashed out at them from the ships when they neared Sahova just last season.

“I. Ce.” ['I see.'] The shape didn't feel entirely odd at all, it actually felt comfortable and right! He didn't seem to really notice the tentacles, as if he had them there all a long. “We. Go. Sa.Ya.Hi?” ['We go say hi?'] Ball sifted his body upward, it was actually kind of odd seeing him shift part of his body to point his mouth at someone. Ball still has no eyes or face to speak of... Just a horizontal split across the middle of his body.

Weird clothes Pycon. I think Nira is right, she does look like a carrot... Whatever that is. Carrot Pycon? He paused in thought and looked up at her, “Yes.Luh.Ets.Go.Sa.Ya.Hi.Tu.Car.Rot.Py.Con.” ['Yes, lets go say hi to Carrot Pycon.']

OOCHi Keyta! Thanks for letting us join in yer thread. Heh, sorry I called ya Carrot Pycon, Ball connects names and meanings to people he meets, everyone is a Pycon to him. Heh.

As Ball is getting closer and closer to maxing out Pyken as a skill, I would like to request that in places where Ball is not doing enough to constitute Pyken XP if Pyken technique lores could be issued instead.

Examples of proper XP level for Pyken would be: Ball developing or refining his technique by adding new thing against an actual moving target, not a dummy.

The use of basic skills alone are not enough to accomplish XP at Ball's current level of Pyken.

Thank you.

No One is the Same

Postby Keyta on January 16th, 2013, 4:53 pm

As the little kelvic continued down the street she heard someone giggling off to the side. When she turned, there was a konti woman that looked as ordinary as anyone else on the isle, but the thing that made her stand out was just her giggling. She seemed to be talking to something next to her, but Keyta didn't see anything and didn't bother to look harder. She didn't really care right now what became so interesting to the konti, she was on a mission and there was still a good walk toward it. By now she was only about half-way through the city, she could tell with the way the roads turned as if completing a circle. Of course she thought to herself, if the people of this isle weren't so embarrassed with her being naked, she could have already been there by flying over the city. The thought invaded her mind and upset her slightly that she was having to be more careful where she flew, which was her whole reason for returning to Mura in the first place; the kind people of the isle that never looked to truly harm one another.

As she grew closer to her destination, Keyta began to wonder, what type of clothes would she be going for this time? She liked not having sleeves as it offered a little more freedom, and she liked the way her skirt looked, but it was extra to pull off when she needed to quickly change. The more she wore, the better the outfit looked overall, taking in mind she didn't over do it, but then it becomes harder to change out and change in. The less she wore, she would be more capable of flying as it would be light enough, she could probably carry her clothes as her bat-self, and change clothes quickly, but they wouldn't look as beautiful as her other option. The ideas flooded her mind as she almost forgot she was walking and found a door smacking her in the face. The little girl was flung from her feet and falling backward head first. Considering her weight, the landing was still hard to her, and she grabbed her nose, looking up to see what had hit her. One of the konti women looked out of the door and nearly screamed out as she realized she had just hit a little girl with the door. Keyta waved her hand, refusing to be helped up and bowed in front of the woman. With that, Keyta realized her nose was bleeding and kept her hand over it as she walked away.

“Carrot pycon…” repeated Nira’lia. She grinned down at Ball. He had legs now and it was taking her a while to get used to it. Truth be told though, it was very difficult to grow accustomed to Ball. This was only an addition to the list.

His appearance reminded her so much of the massive creature they had fought back in Sahovian waters. Ball had such curious taste.

“Yes, let’s say hi to carrot pycon, shall w—oh my!”

The girl had walked straight into a door. Nira’lia had been looking at Ball, but at the sound of the door hitting her, the Konti swiftly turned her head and saw the damage. She gaped for a while before rushing to the girl. As she did, she gestured for Ball to follow. One of her Konti sisters tried to help her, but she refused it.

“Wait, wait!” Nira’lia sped up her strides to walk alongside the girl. She could see the blood that fell from her nose. “That looks awful! Let us help you! Look, Ball, doesn’t she look like she could use our help?”

The Konti looked at the pycon, hoping that he would be on her side.

Ball nodded and then looked at the orange clad 'Pycon'. “Ya.Sa.Yu.Knee.Da.Hel.Pa.” ['Yes, you need help.'] The tentacled pycon shuffled himself closer to her and raised a tentacle up, “Sh.Ee.Hel.Pa.Yu.” ['She help you.'] If the orange clad being followed his tentacle's motion she would see that he was pointing at Nira.

“Pur.Tee.Lad.Ee.Py.Con.Gu.Da.Ah.Ta.Hel.Pa.Ing.Pee.Polz. Sh.Ee.Ma.Ka.Dem.Gu.Da.A.Ga.Na.” ['Pretty Lady Pycon good at helping people. She make them good again.'] The odd Pycon bobbed up and down again as he spoke, the split wobbling as he apparently nodded once more.

“Ball.” [clickI omitted Translation due to simplicity.] The tentacle pointing to Nira turned to point at himself. Once the introductions were done, as far as Ball was concerned he introduced Nira as Pretty Lady Pycon... Well, that is what he knew her as.

“Yu.Hu.Ur.Ta.Sh.Ee.Hel.Pa.Yu.I.Pro.Tek.Ta.” ['You hurt, she help you. I protect.'] Ball once again nodded. With that said and done Ball fell silent, the split in his side sealed itself shut and he appeared to remain still, his furry mount stood underneath him as a reminder of his position in life. A Squire. The dog had no coat of arms that marked him as a knight's mount, instead he had the basic appearance of a dog that has seen far too much in such a short period of time. Wrapped tightly and tied in place with a rope on it's rump, just at the base of it's tail, was a tattered flag. A stick was sticking out from both sides and the a small bit of the heraldic symbol was seen. Mostly, it was dirty and in need of repair.

Ball didn't seem to acknowledge the flag there, but the dog could be seen fidgeting with the weight of it.

“I. Pro.Tek.ta.Dee.Fen.Da. Ee.Ta.Hon.Ore.Do.Tee.” ['I protect. Defend. Honor. Duty.'] Ball nodded. If anyone knew Ball's Patron Knight, the last two words were part of Ball's training to become a knight, but one could hear the soft touch of sorrow to the words.

No One is the Same

Postby Keyta on January 24th, 2013, 5:46 pm

Only a look of confusion took over her face with the appearance of the konti woman. She was a face she had not recognized and seemed even just slightly younger than the majority of the women on the island. As she begged her to allow her to help, something didn't sound right in her sentence, as if she randomly spoke of a shape. Keyta looked down at the dog that was approaching them only to barely notice the small, something, on its' back. The kelvic girl kneeled down to look closer at the object when it started to speak, it was the same size and almost the same color of another thing that reminded her of it. They acted odd and spoke in an awkward manner, either rambling on about finding soft clay or saying things that made no sense to her. This one however seemed even more basic, its' shape was only that of a ball with what appeared to be as several tiny legs coming from the bottom. When it spoke, an entire half of its' body bobbed to pronounce its' words, and even then, seemed to have trouble doing so.

Keyta placed her focus back on the konti woman, standing upright and still being forced to look up and the white woman. It was obvious that people wouldn't let her be so easily when most of them had experience with healing and typically made sour faces at blood. The only exception thus far being Blythe, who still made sour faces but to different things, along with just being completely different from any other konti. Keyta kept her mouth closed, hiding the barely noticeable teeth and merely looked forward at the woman, nodding to answer, allowing her to do whatever she wished to her as she saw fitting. The little girl put her arms to her side and awaited for instructions or the first movement that this woman planned on doing.

OOCSorry for the extremely long delay, also, feel free to move me around for this part if you need to.

The Konti smiled at the pycon and his kind words. As much as she was humble, she still appreciated it when others said good things about her work. His last phrases were the most clear to her—a Knight’s words. He was yet a Knight but he appeared to uphold their values.

She looked back at the Kelvic and saw her gives the pycon some curious looks. At that point, Nira’lia stifled another bout of giggles. In the end, she was glad that the woman allowed her to check on her. They were in the middle of the road, not the most ideal place for a medical check-up, but she doubted any of her sisters would mind.

Keyta had a bleeding nose. To the eyes, that was the most apparent problem. “You should sit down and keep your head slightly bent down. Does it hurt anywhere else?” asked Nira’lia, refraining from touching the girl unless she really needed to. Her Konti gift was much too troublesome at times. The girl’s nose was swollen and blood dripped out. “Do you… do you have a piece of cloth with you?”

Nira’lia turned to Ball, peering at the pycon.

“What about you, Ball? Would you have some cloth with you, just something to clean up the blood?” blinking, she turned back to the Kelvic. “Oh, you should pinch your nose, keep some pressure on it.”

Ball nodded a wobbly nod before heading back towards his dog, the only piece of cloth he had in his possessions was a strip of a shirt from Imass. Once he was behind his trusty mount the squire spoke one word in soft bubbles and the dog sat, apparently that was the command. Next the sound of retching could be heard A few moments later Ball returned with a strip of what appeared to be said shirt earlier.

A look of sorrow could be seen traced softly on the mouth slit, there wasn't any more obvious signs of emotions because he had nothing more for a face. With one tentacle he held up the strip to Nira. The strip wasn't very wide or thick,it was about an inch in width and maybe four or five inches of slightly worn fabric. The material was obviously that of a knight's shirt.

“He.Ur.” ['Here.'] The words seemed laced with the same sorrow seen in his mouth slit before he sealed it shut, all now that appeared was a small crease where his mouth is located. Turning from Carrot Pycon and Pretty Lady Pycon the squired Pycon looked around the road, his eyes darting from person to person, his dog laying lazily nearby, watching as people walked past. Occasionally, with each word of praise and good intentions to the dog the furry mount would thump his tail on the road gently.

Ball remained motionless at this point, one would expected that he froze over to stone, if it wasn't for the tentacles that couldn't quite remain still, their constant wiggling about and writhing about.

No One is the Same

Postby Keyta on January 30th, 2013, 4:31 pm

Keyta was lost in her own thoughts, paying no mind to the sitting suggestion and merely took her arm to her nose like she would normally do. Blood stained her sleeve and all she did was look up into the clouds, think of several different things. Such things included what she would be looking for as far as clothing, if Blythe would like them, what time of day it was and how long should she stay out; and of course, trying her best to keep her mind off of the fact that she was center of attention in a large crowd. The clouds were moving quickly, and the air smelled or rain, suggesting a storm could be coming. Keyta looked back down to the woman and then to the Pycon, who even when sitting still was in motion. Keeping her arm on her nose, Keyta took her free hand and motioned that they should follow. Without truly making sure that they were following her or not, the kelvic began to make her way back down the streets. It almost seemed as thought the people of this island knew the storm was coming as well as most of them fled either back into their own shops or out of the city to their homes. Only a few continued down the roads like herself. It wasn't long however until she reached the shop she had been looking for, the Waterfall Fabrics shop, full of colorful and beautiful clothing.

The kelvic girl took a quick look around the shop, satisfied that they was a much larger selection of clothing than just white. All of their clothing ranged from full sized dresses to small shoes and tops and even a couple of hoods and hats. The shop had a wonderful smell that actually reminded Keyta of a waterfall mixed with lilies. The story clerk, Merit, was a pretty konti, her soft green eyes welcoming everyone as they take their steps inside. Taking a few steps in, Keyta turned around and as if on queue, the rain began to drop and the wind began to rush. Keyta did not mind the rain, she actually enjoyed it to be honest, but she was not a fan of thunder, which hadn't started yet, and she knew Blythe always looked disappointed when she returned home soaking wet.
