Vannis Skyglow muttered softly to himself as he held up a charcoal pencil to inspect the tip closely. He wanted a nice sharp tip that would draw precise lines. Vannis stood in his artist studio at the Aurora Showcase. A table filled with various art supplies stood before him as he went about inspecting lengths of charcoal for a sharp edge that would draw clean lines.
Nira Skyglow had heard that the leader of her Hold could often be found at his artist studio though had been warned not to go there with just any trifling matter. Vannis liked his privacy when he worked on his art and hated being interrupted unless it was for an important issue.
Surely though employment was an important issue. If Vannis was a good Hold leader he would care about whether or not the people of his Hold had enough mizas in their pocket to eat. Vannis turned as Nira stepped up to the door of his artist studio. He blinked a few moments and tilted his head to the side as he observed the young woman before him.
“Are you looking for me? May I help you with something?” he asked softly. He liked to keep his voice down in the Aurora Showcase so as not to disrupt the other artist at work. He turned quickly to set down the piece of charcoal in his hand onto the table. He rubbed his hands down his thighs leaving faint black streaks from the charcoal down his plain beige pants.
