Hahaha that's got some interesting plot possibilities! I personally find harpy eagles more feminine than peregrine falcons for some reason, couldn't say why though. Maybe it's the crest that looks like a headdress to me, I'm not really sure.

Become a harpy Eagle, go to Wind Reach. Then I can use my meager falconry skills with you!

I have seen some Bird Kelvics around ( I know a crow, I've seen an owl or two and a falcon I believe and there's one or two Wind Eagle Kelvic) but they're always great fun to see around and to roleplay with so I approve of your choice there!

Seriously though, come to Wind Reach we hold all birds in high regards and you'll be made very welcome. Especially if you bring us food.

I can't wait to see your Character sheet, especially with all the work your going into thinking simply about your race and animal! Plus if you've read a lot of lore I'm sure it'll be a great read!

Wind eagle kelvics, now those look like they could be interesting. You need special permissions to roleplay them though, since they are dire animals.

Ohh this is interesting indeed, I've actually given Wind Reach a great deal of thought, and because of that thought of the possibilities that I have as a bird of prey Kelvic in those regions.
The most intriguing part is that a falconry Inarta wants me to go as a harpy eagle when perigrine falcons are a big favorite in the field of falconry. This adds fuel to my internal discussion of wich one is the better so I'm really eager to know why you think that would be the better choice? :D
My thoughts were just leaning towards the perigrine falcon since it was such a big favorite in that field. I was thinking since they have so many big, dire, eagles and birds there alredy that everything i could throw at the Inarta with a Kelvic one would always be kind of inferior since i would less likely be able to compare to the wind eagles in either size or hunting possibilitys! That's why i was leaning more toward the perigrine falcon seeing that with that i could atleast bring the speed, agility and the fact that if i ever bond, and grow that bond strong enough, the rider would actully be able to sense and almost see through my eyes while i scout a whole different part than him/her, bringing the hunt up to a whole new level. Though I've yet to have any hands on experience so I'd gladly hear you're thoughts Kiran! :D

And yeah I kinda get the whole thing about there wouldn't be much fun with alot of dire animal Kelvics running/flying around so I was thinking i wouldn't even try for that aspect, even tho it would be kinda cool :)
And Syliss you would just keep me as an emergency snack wouldn't you? ;D

Well, I do get rather hungry sometimes. But look: I've been living with a Kelvic for quite some time and have never had one thought of eating him! I have had other things on my mind, though...

Getting away from the point!

If you were told you were going to die within the next ten seconds unless you chose an animal to live in that form forever, what would it be? Clock's ticking. Six seconds left. Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick.....

I just really like harpy Eagles. And for some reason I don't like Peregrine Falcons. But if you chose either I'd still try to get Kiran to bond to you.

If you wanted her of course. She's a little angsty at the moment.

Pssh i'm not a falconry Inarta, I can find you one though! I'm a jack of all trades Endal xD

But go with whichever one you like best, but I wanted a Harpy Eagle because they can take down bigger prey, which makes them more useful. Peregrine falcons wouldn't be able to go after bigger prey, and Inartan's won't eat fowl so any smaller birds they hunt would be useless to her. So a large bird of prey that can take out or distract very well a deer or whatever other things run around in the unforgiving would be extremely useful to a hunter.

A peregrine falcon would be good as an alert system for other predators a hunter might run into though, but as far as hunting for large prey to help feed the whole society it wouldn't be of much use. It could find herds of prey animals though, so that's good. And you could lead the hunter to the herd.

And Wind Eagles can't hunt easily through the forest (all those pesky branches get int eh way you know) a harpy Eagle would have an easier time of it. A peregrine falcon would have an even easier time I'll admit.

But whichever breed calls to you more I'd suggest you go with. (Hopefully it's a harpy eagle)

And you better come to Wind Reach! The gingers are calling!!

Oh that make a whole new sence to me. Yeah it is true that the harpy eagle would be more useful then the perigrine in such situations! Seeing that the harpy eagly is naturaly made to hunt in dense woodland, wich make it have smaller wings tho. The big advantage perigrines is that they are the fastest animal on the face of the earth, they use this to hunt other birds tho and rarely go on the ground, wich would make it less effective for the type of hunting I'm getting the picture of now. Tho if you are going for an all out forrest typre of hunter the goshawk is really the freerunner of the sky.

Altho this would still limit the size of the prey to like small foxes and downward in the echo system while the harpy eagle can take out almost anything (it's claws are bigger than that of a grizzlys... yikes). You are starting to convince me :p
And don't worry, my pc don't even exist yet so i haven't given much thought about what's goin to happen in his future yet, I'm just one of those who overthink everything! :)
