Character Traits/Personality:

Mental:
Sensitive and Empathic. Most Konti are keen on discerning others feelings, because of their connection to the Goddess Avalis. Yume is extremely sensitive to others feelings, particularly emotional distress and turmoil. She sees past the smiles and the facades, and gets to the core of a person rather quickly. She doesn't do this because she's nosy or intrusive by nature... she can't help it. This hypersensitivity is due to the fact that her 'Sight' is damaged. While she learns how to cope with her... gift... she prefers solitude or the company of 1 or two others... so that she doesn't have to feel too many minds at once. Crowds are problematic for her, and a gathering of more than 30 would start to affect her mental well being, as in she would confuse her own mind with those in the crowd.

Spiritual:
Yume is often unsure of herself, and when it comes to matters of faith she also has her fair share of questions and doubts. But there is one thing she knows, which goes back to her origin story. She's a total amnesiac. She believes it has something to do with her Calling, but is again unsure, as she has no memory of feeling The Call come, as others among her kind have described it coming to them. She honors the Goddess of Divination, Avalis, and acknowledges the God of Dreams, Nysel, as her patron deities, for it is in her dreams when she has some of her most vivid visions... which will hopefully lead her to the reason she is here on Mizahar

Social:
Since her arival on Mura a year ago she has gained a few friends, mostly in the other Konti NPC's at the medical library. When she does form friendships, they go deep and hold fast. She is trusting and thoughtful of those she considers friends... because she knows, or thinks she knows, that they can't hide anything from her. Some Konti control their emotions extremely well, so that there are no layered emotions. What they feel fills their whole being. Yume thinks these Konti do this to try and hide something from her, which is almost never the case. If a person doesn't have layers... Yume doesn't like to trust them. She will gravitate away from these people, in fact.

Physical:
After her awakening she was tested by the doctors and healers to see what faculties she possessed. She is physically... well... Konti, with blue grey eyes the color of a becalmed sea. Her pale skin, soft pink lips, hair the color of cornsilk all add up to an unmistakable beauty and allure. She wears her hair long about her shoulders, with two strands that frame her face and bangs coming to just above her eyes, completely obscuring her forehead. She's more athletic in lifestyle, than most Konti. She enjoys swimming, fishing, and running on the beach in the dark hours of the morning. She derives a great deal of pleasure and energy from watching the sun break over the horizon and bathing the world in its light.

Character History:

My first memory... I remember falling... but not as one falls through air. It was a slow, deliberate sinking. Drowning I was. I'd forgotten that I could breath underwater... but this was not water. It was utter blackness, but it wasn't cold, or warm. I was simply aware of nothing but my own mind in this... this void. Then I became aware of other things... arms, legs, a body. I started to breathe, because I had lungs now, no longer was I a floating void of consciousness... I was a being of flesh and blood. But... where was I? I was still in this black abyss. Then colors began to appear, and light, and warmth, and the sound of the sea crashing against the shore.

The sound of the sea gives me comfort to this day. It was my first memory of Mizahar. I don't know where I truly came from, but the healers say I came through a Gate at what's called “White Tower”. These gates used to connect to each other, spread around the world. Since the God controlling them was basically killed in the great cataclysm they have ceased to function as they did. They now lead to the void, or realms beyond Mizahar. Perhaps I came from one of these other realms...

The healers at the Medical Library in Mura ran countless tests on me. When they found me on the beach, too weak to move, they took me in. Their tests revealed little about my origins, but my Konti body thinks it's about 27 years of age. I feel like any Konti on the island that I've met... but I feel strangely like something else. I have other features that are unmistakably Konti... like... my mark. I bear a seer's lily on my left temple. I have the sight as they do, but it's... damaged. I begin to lose myself if I start feeling too many minds around me.

I've been having these weird thoughts lately... like... none of this is real. That this is all a dream or something... the conjuration of a broken mind. Maybe when my mind's fixed I can return to... wherever it is I came from, or at the very least learn why I'm here, in this form, and not in the form of some of the other humanoid creatures I've seen. I have so many questions about myself. I need this, I guess, this journey of self discovery.

Skills (50):

The idea behind the skill set I'm going for is an empathic healer who uses leaching to transfer wounds to her own body, then flux to heal herself. She also has been given basic training in martial technique, using flux to smash face, but only when she absolutely has to. Her study of Glyphing augments her Flux abilities, allowing her to quickly produce effects through the use of tattoos. Her current occupation is a fisherman and pearl diver.

Learning at the hands of those who administered to Yume during her time in the Medical Library, she proved to be a quick study. In order to heal, one needs to know how bodies work. In that spirit, she has gained the following lore over the past year since she arrived in Mura.

House:

The Konti were extremely generous and helped Yume procure a cottage on the beach near Mura's Docks. The house is made of a giant seashell, hollowed out on the inside, its spire pointing up into the sky. A door made of driftwood with a simple lock and hinges keeps wanderers out, but not necessarily thieves. Konti aren't known for thieving, however, and countermeasures against such are not a high priority. Inside, a round table made of the same pale driftwood sits in the middle of the room. The table is flanked by two wicker chairs. A simple bed sits off to the north side.

The hearth occupies the east of the shell house, with the door in the center of the shell on the south side. Fishing nets act as drapes over windows with driftwood shutters. All in all, it's fairly cozy.

Hi there!

I'm Kraken, your friendly neighbourhood Character Sheet Liaison! I'm here to help make your experience on Mizahar go as smoothly as possible. Now, there are just a few quick points we need to sort out in order for your character to move forward. If you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to ask!

You've made a good start on your character sheet, Yume. I like the interesting details you included, such as a good description of your PC's housing and the various shades of her personality/character concept. I have some notes below for you to address in order to get your sheet into the best shape.

  • Birthday: Please be sure to include your PC's birthday in your CS. You'll need to have a year of birth, season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter), and a day of birth. Each season has 91 days except for Winter, which has 92.
  • Konti Gift: You will need to apply to the Help Desk for permission to have a konti gift. Gifts cannot be duplicated, so please be sure to check the lore page I linked to make sure yours is unique. Once approved, you will receive a Storyteller Secrets thread to link in your profile. You may need to edit your description of her mental state, depending on what the HD says.
  • Gnosis: You will need to apply to the Help Desk for permission to have a Divination gnosis.
  • History: You will need Help Desk permission to have your PC come to Mura through the white tower and possibly come from another "realm." Your PC's knowledge of the towers is also questionable, because you have no lore stating that she knows this. The information itself is quite sensitive. I've quoted the section of your history that will likely need to be adjusted.

  • Occupation: You will need permission from the Mura storyteller to state the following: " Her current occupation is a fisherman and pearl diver."
  • Skills: If you could change "Hand-to-hand combat" to "Unarmed Combat," that would be wonderful.
    • Divination is not a skill, it is a gnosis. Please change those 5 skill points to a different skill.
    • Please change your Medicine skill of "10sp" to "10 RB" (for Racial Bonus).
    • Please be sure to keep in mind the realism of your skill set. At the moment, there is no official place for konti to learn magic in Mura. The konti people also tend to shy away from certain magics. Please consider how your PC came to learn glyphing, leeching, and flux in Mura, and how she managed to not be kicked off the island for being dangerous. Leeching in particular is almost certainly unwelcome on the island, and I would strongly recommend changing this skill.
  • Lore: Please choose either Physiology or Anatomy in your lores. You cannot have both, as this would be too broad.
  • Possession: I'm not sure what "healer's vestments" are. Please review the starting package clothing on the Mura CS Template. If you would like clothes that aren't from the starting package, you will need to purchase them and deduct the prices from your ledger.
    • Please specify what's included in your PC's toiletries (comb, brush, razor, soap).
    • I'm not sure what you mean by "Mess Kit." This is not on the price list, nor is it an item from the starting package. Please remove this from your CS.
    • You seem to be missing the eating knife in your possessions. Please add this in.
    • Please include the items you have listed on your ledger in your possessions so that mods are aware you have these items. As well, please specify what "everyday clothes" and "kitchen and sundry dishes" are.
  • Heirloom: You seem to be missing your heirloom! Each PC can start the game with one heirloom item, worth 50 GM or less, from the price list. Please feel free to add yours in (ex. fishing kit).
  • Housing: If you would like to include a second chair and fishing nets in your PC's house, you will need to purchase those separately and deduct the price from your ledger.
  • Language: Don't forget to include your PC's languages! Your PC can begin the game knowing up to three different languages in three different fluencies: Fluent, Basic, and Poor. Feel free to add yours in.
  • Ledger: A fishing kit is actually 10GM on the Price List, not 50GM. There is no such thing as a diving kit. The other prices you've included are also off, so please check the price list for each one and adjust the prices appropriately.
