"It's getting late. Maybe we'd better start back for the city." It wasn't hard to talk about that. With everything packed and ready to go, Kail turned to go, then waited for Tatih to catch up with the picnic stuff and slipped her free hand into his. She was starting to feel a little more comfortable now that she was dressed again, and was worried that Taith might think she was regretting bringing their relationship to such a personal level.
She wasn't, really. In fact, basically what was on her mind, other than still hoping that she had been up to par, was the next time they would be able to be so intimate again. That was a good sign. Kail knew that she would be okay in this relationship, even happy. She also knew that now that Taith knew she was willing, the next move was his. That would be a way of showing her that he was okay, too: that he was happy. It would prove to her that she was good enough for him.
This must be the complicated part of relationships. She knew it was silly to want proof of something she already believed, but she did. Kail felt she had been rather forward and was a little embarassed about it. That led to other emotions and she wanted to be more, well, lady-like. This involved not making another move, suggestion, or even concession until Taith was the initator. She hoped he would, and soon, because she wanted to further explore the possibilites of the relationship level they had just entered. The options seemed endless.
