Time stamp: 13th of Spring, 513AV (Evening)
Location: Alheas Park
Who: Samantha Grenth

Walking down the path to Alheas Park, Vaas could tell Wind Dancer was excited because he was chirping and flapping his wings in excitement. Vaas smiled over at his hawk and said with a smile, “I think it almost time to teach you how to hunt, Windy.” Vaas knew his hawk could hunt, but as a hawker Vaas needed him to hunt certain animals on command. It will be feat trying to teach the stubborn bird, but he knew it was must be done to get to the level in Wind Dancer's development as a hunting bird. When made it out of the forest, he came into a grassy clearing. He heard an owl hoot, and he could tell it was night time. He heard stories about the beauty of the park during the night time, and Vaas wanted Wind Dancer to experience the park for himself since Vaas would never experience the beauty of the city of Lhavit. Making his way to the center of the clearing, Vaas set his backpack on the ground, and he untied the jess from the hawk's leg, and he took off the hood from the birds head.

Wind Dancer flapped his wings, and he jumped off into the pruned grass. Vaas knelt down in the grass, untied the backpack, and fished out his wooden flute case. Once he took out his wooden flute out of the case, and he cleaned the inside of it with his rag. He could hear the bird flapping his wings in excitement, and Vaas fished out a dried piece of meat with the fur still on it. Vaas put the flute up to his mouth and play Wind Dancer's attention song, and the hawk stopped flapping his wings, turned to face the Inarta, and let out a quiet "Kree-eee-ar.” Vaas smiled to himself, and he played Wind Dancer's feeding song. The hawk let out a quiet, “Kree-eee-ar”, and Vaas tossed the piece of dried meat gently in the birds direction. In excitement, hawk let the meat drop to the ground and he quickly snatched it up with his mouth and ate it. When the Windy was finished he flapped his wings at Vaas, and he let out a chirp. Ever since he left Wind Reach, Vaas taught Wind Dancer a few new songs like “Play Time.”] Once the Windy hears the melody, the hawk can do whatever hawks do in their free time. The second song is Wind Dancer's “Return Song” where the bird need to return back to him. This song would be useful when he is hunting with the bird.

Vaas looked in the bird direction, and he smiled at his feather friend and said softly, “I am envious of you, Wind Dancer that you get to experience the park at night. Enjoy yourself, Windy.” Vaas brought the flute up to his lips and played a Wind Dancer's “Play Time Song”, and he heard the flap his wing, and he took off into the air. Vaas decided to just lay back on the grass, and he listened to the sounds of the night.

OOCYou might have to change the times stamp because Samantha is traveling here with a friend and they are talking with me about the times now.

Samantha was more than hungry. No she wast staving. But not for meat, no Samantha just wanted the chase. The blood. Samantha had been in a withdraw ever sense she had arrived here. For weeks Samantha had gone without hunting, with out the taste of blood.

But now her Father had stopped pestering her about settling down and finally gave her a moment of peace. So this is how she found herself following the sounds of a bird. She could hear it's wings flapping and had originally followed the sounds of a flute when she caught wind of the bird.

For once the wind was in her favor. Allowing her to smell the bird and not be smelt. Samantha quietly traveled along the forest ground, her body staying low to the ground as her eye's flickered around. If she held her eyes in one area she would miss something, that's why they moved around. Picking up the detail of everything around her.

A small field mouse ran away from her on her right, an ants nest scurried around five feet behind her, an owl watched her cautiously 20 feet up a tree. But Samantha didn't want that, no she wanted the unsuspecting bird. Not the one who had seen her.

Samantha neared a clearing where the smell was closest and lowered herself further. Samantha quickly quieted her breath and calmed her tail as her eye's searched for the bird. When Samantha's eye's found it Samantha couldn't help the predator smile. A rather large hawk. On bite and snap of her head and it was gone. But where was the fun in that? No Samantha wanted to play with her prey.

Samantha waited on her side of the clearing as the hawk flew around. Only when it landed did she creep back. Watching it for any signs that it had seen her. When she was far back that she knew it couldn't see her did Samantha ease up from the ground a little. Samantha held her tail still are she prowled along the edge of the clearing, out of sight.

When she was finally close enough to where she could see the bird, not be seen or smelt, did she set her body up. Her heart was beating extremely fast as she felt the adrenaline run through her. Though her muscles, mind, and heart were all pumped and ready Samantha forced her body to stay still. Waiting until the hawk had looked away to pick at its wing did she go.

Quickly and with out much sound Samantha pounced out of her hiding spot at full speed and jumped at the hawk. Samantha never let out a sound until she was only seconds from having the bird in her grasp. A loud blood hungry snarl ripped threw the night as Samantha unsheathed her claws and opened her mouth wide.

For all her prep and precautions for getting her prey Samantha had missed one important factor. And not until her snarl was out did she see it out of the corner of her eye. A human was on the ground and Samantha had just let out a hungry snarl. This was going to cause her some problems. But it was too late to turn back now. The blood thirsty tigress was already air-born and very close to the kill.

The human, could wait.
