Completed Music of the Heart

[Ethan Terran]

Ethan's finger's wrapped around Sigrun's, feeling their warmth and the steady beat of her pulse. Her hands were small, a reflection of the womanly charm Ethan knew her to possess. Aiding her to stand, Ethan would take from the pouch at his side enough miza's for both his and Sigrun's meals, and a little extra for the server, before taking up his staff. With a gentle tug and in inviting wink Ethan took a single step toward the door. "Now do not place too much responsibility upon my shoulders. All I can do is show you the beauty I find in this world, and hope you see it that way too." He looked back at Sigrun, eyes finding hers, perhaps by chance or by Ethan's own design, as he said, "But, my lady, there is a lot of beauty to see." Using his staff to wind his way through the tables and chairs, Ethan would open the door for Sigrun, letting her take the lead from there.

She rested her gaze on his face, admiring how his pale eyes seemed to be the blur that softened his masculine features. He had an unrelenting positivity to him that seemed to be enough to fuel the entire city. It was refreshing. She felt Ethan's fingers brush against her hand slowly, with each one wrapping itself around the back of her palm like it would to the neck of a guitar; gently, yet firmly. The comparison didn't fit the young man, however, as he was a flutist who didn't play with strings. Sigrun allowed herself to be pulled out of her seat, her hand gripping Ethan's slightly. He turned around and happened to meet his gaze with hers, winking as he did so. "Now do not place too much responsibility upon my shoulders. All I can do is show you the beauty I find in this world, and hope you see it that way too." He was nothing like the other men she'd met before, and that intrigued her immensely. He was extremely gentle, without even an ounce of toughness to him, but that didn't appear to be a weakness at all - It in fact might've even been his strength. She instantly regretted ever thinking that it was impossible for her to meet someone genuinely interesting or suitable for her. "But, my lady, there is a lot of beauty to see." After leaving the pay upon the table, the young flutist led the way, using his cane to take them to the exit, where he left the rest to Sigrun. The girl released her hand from his, only to curl it around his arm instead. Suddenly, she felt as if she were seeing Syliras for the first time, through the eyes of somebody who knew how to appreciate things much better than she did. "I suppose we could start down the street, and then see where that takes us." She'd already lost herself many times before in the grand citadel, but to be lost with someone else seemed to be an entirely different experience.
